《巢氏病源》小儿萤火丹候∶丹发如灼，在胁下正赤，初从额起而长上痛，是萤火丹也。（《颅囟经》乃云从耳起。）
《颅囟经》治萤火丹。
上用慎火草捣汁，和酒调涂之。（《圣惠》以醋调涂。）
《圣惠》治小儿萤火丹方。
赤小豆（一合） 硝石（半两） 寒水石（一分）
上件药捣，细罗为散。每服以冷水调下半钱，日三服。量儿大小加减服之。（《婴孺》一料用硝石三钱一字。）
《圣惠》又方
灶中黄土（一合） 生油（二合）
上件药研，和如泥，时用涂之，以瘥为度。若痛上阴，不治即杀人。
《婴孺》泽兰汤 治萤火丹走瘾疹入腹杀人方。
泽兰 芎（各三分） 附子（炮） 莽草 本 细辛 茵芋（各二分）
上以水三升煮一升半为四服，此汤外并用粉粉病上。

上浓煮棘根汁洗之。已成疮者赤小豆末敷之，未成疮者鸡子白和小豆末敷之。凡方中用鸡子者，皆取先破
者用之，未破者无力。

上以蓝靛涂之。

将上述药物研磨，混合成泥状，随时涂抹患处，以痊愈为度。如果疼痛部位出现阴症表现，不治疗就会致死。
《婴孺书》泽兰汤 治疗萤火丹走窜至瘾疹并侵入腹部致死的方剂。
泽兰 川芎（各三分） 附子（炮制） 莽草 藁本 细辛 茵芋（各二分）
以上药物用水三升煮取一升半，分四次服用。此汤剂外用同时，还需用粉剂扑洒在病处。

《千金方》治疗小儿朱田火丹，病情一天一夜即形成疮疡。先从背部发起，逐渐蔓延至全身如枣大，颜色正红的方剂。
浓煮棘根汁清洗患处。已经形成疮疡的用赤小豆末敷贴，未形成疮疡的用鸡蛋清调和赤小豆末敷贴。凡方剂中使用鸡蛋的，都要选用先破开的鸡蛋，未破开的鸡蛋药效不足。
《太平圣惠方》的另一方剂
用鸡蛋清涂抹患处。
According to *Chao Shi Bing Yuan* (Source of Diseases in Chao's Work) regarding the syndrome of infantile Firefly Erysipelas (Yinghuo Dan): The erysipelas erupts as if scorched, appearing bright red under the hypochondrium. It initially starts from the forehead and spreads upward with pain; this is called Firefly Erysipelas. (*Lu Xin Jing* states it starts from the ear.)

Take the above-mentioned Shenhua Cao (Fire-preventing Herb, likely *Sanguisorba officinalis*), crush it to extract juice, mix with wine, and apply topically. (*Tai Ping Sheng Hui Fang* suggests mixing with vinegar for application.)

Vigna angularis (One he) Niter (Half tael) Cold Water Stone (One fen)
Crush the above ingredients, sieve finely to make a powder. Take half a qian per dose, mixed with cold water, three times daily. Adjust dosage according to the child's age. (*Ying Ru Shu* uses three qian and one zi of Niter per batch.)
Another prescription from *Tai Ping Sheng Hui Fang*.
Kitchen Hearth Yellow Earth (One he) Raw Oil (Two he)
Grind the above ingredients and mix into a paste-like consistency. Apply frequently until healed. If the painful area develops Yin symptoms, failure to treat will result in death.
*Ying Ru Shu* Zelan Decoction for treating Firefly Erysipelas that spreads to urticaria and invades the abdomen causing death.
Lycopus lucidus (Each 3 fen) Ligusticum chuanxiong (Each 3 fen) Aconitum carmichaelii (Pao/Processed) Polygonum arvense (Mangcao) Ligusticum sinense (Gaoben) Asarum heterotropoides (Xixin) Ilex cornuta (Yinyu) (Each 2 fen)
Boil the above ingredients in three sheng of water until reduced to one and a half sheng, divided into four doses. While taking this decoction internally, also apply powder externally to the affected area.
According to *Chao Shi Bing Yuan* regarding the syndrome of infantile Vermilion Field Fire Erysipelas (Zhutian Huodan): The erysipelas first erupts on the back and spreads over the whole body, forming sores within one day and night, known as Vermilion Field Fire Erysipelas.
*Lü Xin Jing* describes Vermilion Field Fire Erysipelas as resembling red beans, erupting all over the body.
Take the above-mentioned Shenhua Cao, crush to extract juice, mix with wine, and apply topically.
*Qian Jin Fang* treatment for infantile Vermilion Field Fire Erysipelas, where sores form within one day and night. It starts from the back and gradually spreads over the body like dates, with a bright red color.
Boil thick juice from Rhamnus spinosa roots to wash the affected area. For formed sores, apply powder of Vigna angularis; for unformed sores, mix Vigna angularis powder with egg white and apply. In prescriptions using eggs, always use those that have broken naturally first, as unbroken eggs lack potency.

Apply Indigofera tinctoria (Lan Dian) topically.
