For oral ulcers that have ulcerated, as well as for pharyngeal lichen (*Hou Xuan*) and pharyngeal abscess (*Hou Yong*), use *Fenghuang Yi* (Phoenix Coat, i.e., the inner membrane of the chicken eggshell). Roast it lightly over fire until yellow. Roast *Ganlan* (Olive) until it retains its medicinal properties. Use *Ercha* (Child's Tea/Betel Nut Extract). For oral canker sores and throat pain, take two liang of *Wuzhuyu* (Evodia Fruit), grind into powder, add a small amount of flour, mix with vinegar to form two cakes. Apply to the soles of the feet and secure with cloth. Leave overnight for cure.
