This is an excellent method for eliminating hiccups (eructation/diaphragmatic spasm). It can also relieve asthma and abdominal distension. Its nature is warm, suitable for treating cold patterns. The technique involves using my right hand to singly grasp the child's middle finger, while my left hand presses and pinches the round bone at the elbow acupoint of the child. Slowly shake it as if counting, resembling the posture of a phoenix spreading a single wing. This is highly effective for dispelling deficient qi and deficient heat.
After completing the manipulation for various symptoms, use this method to conclude the session. It is particularly suitable for chronic illnesses, ensuring no recurrence. The specific method is: use the index finger of my left hand to press and pinch the depression of the Jianjing (GB21) acupoint on the child's shoulder, which is also known as the shoulder eye. Then, firmly grasp the child's index and ring fingers with my right hand, extending and shaking them as if counting, so that the disease will not recur.
Simultaneously grasp the Tianmen and Hukou areas, heavily rub the elbows in coordination, to ensure numb joints become flexible and active. "Da Ma" (Hitting Horse) must pass through the Tianhe River (water channel); "Huang Feng Ru Dong" (Yellow Bee Entering the Cave) induces hot sweat; "Shui Di Lao Yue" (Fishing the Moon from the Bottom of the Water) treats coldness; "Fei Jin Zou Qi" (Flying Gold Moving Qi) resolves wind-phlegm; "An Xian Cuo Mo" (Pressing Strings and Rubbing) disperses accumulation; rubbing dissipates accumulated qi and phlegm; "Er Long Xi Zhu" (Two Dragons Playing with Pearls) has a mild and warm nature; "Shuang Long Bai Wei" (Double Dragons Waving Tails) resolves knots; "Jie Nue Yuan Hou Zhai Guo" (Stopping Malaria by Monkey Plucking Fruit) is used for malaria; to stop infantile dysentery and diarrhea, rub the navel and Guiwei (GV1) acupoint; "Chi Feng Yao Tou" (Red Phoenix Shaking Head) treats asthma and distension; "Xiao Ye Zhan Chi Dan Fei" (Eliminating Hiccups by Phoenix Spreading Wings Single Flight) requires grasping the child's ring and index fingers, extending and shaking them with full effort. If there is food retention, first pinch Jianjing (GB21); the general concluding method is suitable for chronic diseases, permanently removing habitual pediatric conditions. To manipulate all hundred acupoints comprehensively, if one or two techniques are applied incorrectly, the illness may recur before the child grows older. These thirteen techniques cure diseases; they are immortal transmissions preserved to save children. Physicians should ponder deeply and comprehend spiritually. Those with floating energy or carelessness should not use these methods.
Tai Du (Fetal Toxin) refers to pathological conditions caused by the fetus being affected by the mother's heat-toxin during gestation. Within three days, one week, ten days, or half a month after birth, treatment is most difficult, especially on the fifth or sixth day. Immediately administer Yan Shou Dan (Longevity Pill), three pills the size of beans, and the patient will recover.
Ya Kou (Mute Mouth) results from fetal heat-toxin affecting the mother's womb, causing heart qi deficiency and cold obstruction, resulting in silence upon birth. At this time, there is no time to use manipulation techniques; immediately administer a small amount of Yan Shou Dan (Longevity Pill), and the patient will recover.
If an infant does not cry or suckle milk three days after birth, it is called Kou Jin (Oral Lock). This is due to the fetus receiving fire-toxin, which attacks the heart and transmits to the lungs, leading to inability to eat or drink and silent crying. Immediately administer a small amount of Yan Shou Dan (Longevity Pill), and the patient will recover.
Within one week after birth, if the abdomen becomes distended and hard, the umbilical circumference swells, the mouth puckers and brows knit, and the jaw is locked, it is named Qi Feng Nuo Kou Syndrome (Umbilical Wind with Puckered Mouth). This is caused by the umbilical cord being cut too short or tied loosely, allowing water-dampness to invade the umbilicus, and external wind pathogens to enter through the deficiency, transmitting to the heart, where evil accumulates, then spreading to the spleen meridians. Symptoms include stiff tongue, cyanotic lips, slight convulsions of hands and feet, and rattling phlegm in the throat. Administer a small amount of Yan Shou Dan (Longevity Pill), and the patient will recover. If spirit is lost and qi is cold, it is incurable.
