上五味。以水一斗。先煮麻黄两沸去沫。然后入诸药。合煮取二升半。分三服。

处方组成：生姜（一两）、桂心橘（各一两三钱）、甘草、麻黄（各一两）。
煎服方法：以上五味药，用水一斗，先煮麻黄，煮沸两次后撇去浮沫，然后加入其他药物，共同煎煮至取汁二升半，分三次服用。
千金生姜甘草汤：治疗肺痿引起的咳嗽吐涎沫，咽喉干燥且口渴。
处方组成：生姜（半两）、甘草（炙用，二钱）、人参（三钱）、大枣（五枚，掰开）。
煎服方法：以上四味药，用水煎煮，温服。
人参蛤蚧散：治疗肺痿导致的失音，咳嗽吐脓血，或者面部生疮。
处方组成：川蛤蚧（十对，酒浸，酥炙；色泽白、形态如守宫者为真品，若剖开像鼠皮则为伪品）、知母（酒炒）、川贝母（去心）、桑白皮（姜汁和蜜炙）、茯苓（各三两）、人参、甘草（炙用，各三两）、杏仁（去皮尖，五钱）。
煎服方法：研为散剂，每次服用三钱，不限时间，用茶清或蜜水调服。
甘草干姜汤（见理中汤下）、炙甘草（见桂枝汤下）、紫菀散（见咳嗽门）、固本丸（见二冬膏下）、劫劳散（见四物汤下）。

皂荚丸（出自《金匮要略》）：治疗咳逆上气，时常吐出浑浊痰液，只能端坐不能平卧。
处方组成：皂英（刮去皮及弦子，酥炙）。
煎服方法：将上述一味药研末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸剂，用枣膏调和汤水送服三丸，白天服三次，夜间服一次。
千金苇茎汤：治疗肺痈（肺部化脓性病变），表现为胸中皮肤粗糙如鳞甲交错。
处方组成：苇茎（即芦管，取节段一升）、薏苡仁（三合）、桃仁（五十枚，捣碎）、瓜瓣（即甜瓜子，半升，研碎；如果没有，可用栝蒌仁代替）。
煎服方法：以上四味药，用水一斗，先煮苇茎，煮至剩五升，滤去渣滓，纳入其他药物，再煮至取汁二升，温服一升，再次服用后应当吐出如脓样的物质。
解析：皂荚涤除肺胃中的浊垢，葶苈子泻除肺中停聚的水气，苇茎疏通肺络中的瘀塞，这是治疗肺痈的三种鼎立之法。
千金桂枝去芍药加皂荚汤（见桂枝汤下）、桔梗汤（方祖）、十六味桔梗汤（见桔梗汤下）、葶苈大枣泻肺汤（见痰饮门）。
葶苈薏苡泻肺汤（见桔梗汤下）、钱氏六味丸（见崔氏八味丸下）。
Qianjin Wenzhong Shengjiang Tang (Thousand Golden Formulas' Warm-Middle Ginger Decoction): Treats Lung Wei (Lung Atrophy) of deficiency-cold pattern, manifesting as chest fullness during inhalation and exhalation.
Ingredients: Shengjiang (Radix Zingiberis Recens, 1 liang), Guixinju (Cortex Cinnamomi Citri, each 1 liang 3 qian), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Mahuang (Herba Ephedrae, each 1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: The above five herbs are boiled in one dou of water. First, boil Mahuang for two boils to remove the foam. Then add the remaining herbs and decoct together to obtain 2.5 sheng of liquid. Divide into three doses.
Qianjin Shengjiang Gancao Tang (Thousand Golden Formulas' Ginger and Licorice Decoction): Treats Lung Wei accompanied by coughing and spitting of saliva and froth, dry throat, and thirst.
Ingredients: Shengjiang (Radix Zingiberis Recens, half liang), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata, 2 qian), Renshen (Radix Ginseng, 3 qian), Dazao (Fructus Jujubae, 5 pieces, split).
Preparation and Administration: The above four herbs are decocted in water and taken warm.
Renshen Gejie San (Ginseng and Gecko Powder): Treats Lung Wei resulting in loss of voice, coughing up pus and blood, or sores on the face.
Ingredients: Chuan Gejie (Gecko, 10 pairs, soaked in wine, fried with butter; authentic ones are white in color and shaped like a gecko/lizard, while fake ones resemble mouse skin when cut open), Zhimu (Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, wine-fried), Chuan Beimu (Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii, heart removed), Sangbaipi (Cortex Mori Radicis, fried with ginger juice and honey), Fuling (Poria, each 3 liang), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata, each 3 liang), Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, skin and tip removed, 5 qian).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into powder. Take 3 qian per dose at any time, mixed with clear tea water or honey water.

Zaojiao Wan (Soapberry Pill) [From Jin Gui Yao Lue]: Treats rebellious qi with cough and upward rush, frequent spitting of turbid phlegm, inability to lie flat due to sitting only.
Ingredients: Zao Ying (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis, scraped of skin and strings, fried with butter).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the single herb into powder, mix with honey to make pills the size of wutong seeds. Take three pills per dose, mixed with jujube paste and water. Administer three times during the day and once at night.
Qianjin Weijing Tang (Thousand Golden Formulas' Reed Shoot Decoction): Treats Fei Yong (Lung Abscess) presenting with rough, scale-like skin on the chest.
Ingredients: Weijing (Caulis Phragmitis Communis, take 1 sheng of nodes), Yiyiren (Semen Coicis, 3 he), Tao Ren (Semen Persicae, 50 pieces, crushed), Gua Ban (Semen Cucumeris Melaonis, half sheng, ground; if unavailable, replace with Gualou Ren/Semen Trichosanthis).
Preparation and Administration: The above four herbs are boiled in one dou of water. First boil Weijing until reduced to 5 sheng, filter out the dregs, then add the other herbs. Boil until 2 sheng remains. Take 1 sheng warm. After the second dose, pus-like material should be expectorated.
Analysis: Zaojiao cleanses turbid filth from the lungs and stomach; Tingli (Fructus Descurainiae seu Lepidii) drains fluid retention in the lungs; Weijing unblocks stasis in lung collaterals. These constitute the three pillar methods for treating Lung Abscess.
