Yuan (Right): Menstrual bleeding is dripping and prolonged, with fullness, pain, and distension in the lower abdomen. In severe cases, pain attacks and radiates to the four limbs, shoulders, and back. Jue Qi (Rebellious Qi) moves wildly, and Qi enters the collaterals. It is necessary to rectify the Qi.
Chenpi (Tangerine Peel, 1 qian), Sharen (Amomum Fruit, 5 fen), Xiangyuan Pi (Citron Rind, 1 qian), Chuan Po (Magnolia Bark, 1 qian), Dafupi (Areca Peel, 2 qian), Zhiqiao (Bitter Orange Fruit, 1 qian).
Xiangfu (Cyperus Rhizome, 2 qian), Huoxiang (Patchouli Herb, 3 qian), Sugeng (Perilla Stem, 3 qian).
Jin (Right): Dripping leukorrhea and metrorrhagia. The patient feels cold air accumulating in the lower abdomen, with Qi attacking and distending. This indicates disharmony of the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) and instability of the Chong Mai, which is a precursor to Bing Lou (Metrorrhagia and Metrostaxis).
Dangshen (Codonopsis Root), Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Wuyu (Evodia Fruit), Paojiang (Prepared Ginger), Zhigancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Baishao (White Peony Root), Xiangfu (Cyperus Rhizome).
Certain Patient (Right): The trend of Bing Lou (Metrorrhagia and Metrostaxis) is relatively mild, but accompanied by vomiting and nausea, unable to tolerate even a drop of water. The pulse is fine and wiry; the coating is turbid and greasy, indicating a phlegm-damp constitution. This is due to excessive blood loss causing Liver Wood to lose nourishment, leading to Jue Yang (Hyperactive Yang) rushing up to harass Stomach Earth. Turbid pathogens in the Stomach obstruct and fail to descend. There is fear of developing Jing Jue (Spasm and Coma).
Taishenxu (Ginseng Radicula), Chao Zhuru (Fried Bamboo Shavings), Fuling Shen (Poria with Hostwood), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Chuanlian (Coptis Rhizome, stir-fried with Ganjiang), Xueyutan (Charred Human Hair, wrapped), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Zhibanxia (Prepared Pinellia Tuber), Hanliancao (Eclipta Herb), Qiancao Tan (Charred Rubia Root), Zhi Ouguz (Prepared Cuttlefish Bone), Chao Hei Huyang (Charred Black Polygonatum Seed, 1.5 qian), Ou jie (Lotus Node).
Xu (Right): Bing Lou (Metrorrhagia and Metrostaxis) and leukorrhea have persisted for a long time; the pulse form is Ru Da (Soft and Large). Approaching sixty years of age, the Middle Qi is deficient and fails to control. It may be difficult to achieve efficacy with ordinary herbal medicines.
Dangshen (Codonopsis Root), Huangqi (Astragalus Root), Dongzhu (Winter Atractylodes Rhizome), Shengdi Tan (Charred Rehmannia Root), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Danggui Tan (Charred Angelica Sinensis Root), Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Zhi Zaoren (Honey-fried Sour Jujube Seed), Zhi Chunpi (Prepared Toona Leaf Bark), Qiai Tan (Charred Qidong Mugwort Leaf, 3 fen), Gongdingxiang (Cloves, 3 fen).
Yan (Right): Chronic cough with profuse sputum and rebellious Qi. The pulse is Chen Xian (Deep and Wiry); the coating is white, sticky, and greasy. This is Phlegm-Fluid pathogen obstructing the Lung, while Tian Gui (Menstrual Essence) should cease but instead increases. There is fear of Bing Huan (Collapse and Destruction).
Dangshen (Codonopsis Root), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Zhi Ouguz (Prepared Cuttlefish Bone), Tu Chao Yuzhu (Earth-fried Atractylodes Rhizome), Zhi Huangqi (Honey-fried Astragalus Root), Qiancao Tan (Charred Rubia Root), Huyang Tan (Charred Polygonatum Seed), Danggui Tan (Charred Angelica Sinensis Root), Yuanzhi Rou (Polygala Root Flesh), Chao Suzi (Fried Perilla Seed), Zaoren (Sour Jujube Seed), Ou jie (Lotus Node).
Certain Patient (Right): Menstruation arrives like a flood (Beng), abdominal distension has relieved, but there is palpitations and dizziness. The Zang organs' function of storing and controlling blood is impaired. Further tonify Heart and Spleen.

Ouguz (Cuttlefish Bone, 3 qian), Huyang Tan (Charred Polygonatum Seed, 8 fen), Zhu Fushen (Vermilion-coated Poria with Hostwood, 3 qian), Longyanrou (Longan Aril, 3 pieces).
Certain Patient (Right): Bing Lin (Metrorrhagia and dripping) does not stop; the waist region feels sore, and blood flows down immediately. The Qi Mai (Extraordinary Vessels) are secretly damaged. Further refer to methods of securing and controlling.
Shengdi Tan (Charred Rehmannia Root, 4 qian), Ouguz (Cuttlefish Bone, 4 qian), Qiancao Tan (Charred Rubia Root, 1 qian), Nong Duzhong (Concentrated Eucommia Bark, 3 qian), Hanliancao (Eclipta Herb, 3 qian), Diyu Tan (Charred Sanguisorba Root, 2 qian).
Danpi Tan (Charred Moutan Cortex, 2 qian), Xueyutan (Charred Human Hair, 1 qian), Baicaoshuang (Herbal Charcoal, 1 qian, packed with Xueyutan), Ou (Lotus Root, 2 liang, decocted as water substitute).
Liu (Right): Blood accumulated for nine months before Bing (Flooding) occurred; after stopping, amenorrhea lasted over a year. Abdominal fullness and discomfort, Qi sinking below the umbilicus, burning sensation in the chest and epigastrium. The pulse is Chen Zhi (Deep and Stagnant). This is Blood stasis due to Qi stagnation, blocking the Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel). If obstruction becomes extreme and ruptures, it will inevitably lead to recurrent Bing (Flooding); caution is essential.
Yanhusuo (Corydalis Rhizome), Fen Quanguidanggui (Powdered Whole Angelica Sinensis Root), Chongweizi (Chenopodium Seed), Chao Chishao (Fried Red Peony Root), Fen Danpi (Powdered Moutan Cortex), Zhi Xiangfu (Processed Cyperus Rhizome), Jiangxiang Pian (Dalbergia Odorifera Chips), Danshen (Salvia Root), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome), Yujin (Curcuma Rhizome).
Right: After semi-abortion, dripping bleeding did not stop; last winter it escalated to Bing Bai (Collapse and Destruction). After Bing stopped, leakage continued with frequent coughing. Both Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) and Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) are damaged, complicated by Wind pathogen invasion. Treatment should address both.
Danggui Tan (Charred Angelica Sinensis Root, 2 qian), Zhi Ouguz (Prepared Cuttlefish Bone, 4 qian), Qianhu (Peucedanum Root, 1 qian), Shayuanzi (Astragalus Complanatus Seed, 3 qian), Zhenling Dan (Zhenling Pill, 2 qian), Xiang Beimu (Fritillaria Thunbergii Bulb, 2 qian).
Chuanduan Rou (Sargentodoxa Stem, 1.5 qian), Duzhong (Eucommia Bark, 3 qian), Xingren Ni (Apricot Kernel Paste, 3 qian).
Right: Recurrent Bing (Flooding), progressing from flooding to leakage (Lou), with lower abdominal pain. The Chong and Ren extraordinary vessels lose their binding constraint. Fear of recurrent Bing leading to Jue (Coma).
Qiai Tan (Charred Qidong Mugwort Leaf), Zhen Ejiao (Authentic Donkey-hide Gelatin), Zhi Xiangfu (Processed Cyperus Rhizome), Nong Duzhong (Concentrated Eucommia Bark), Gong Dingxiang (Cloves), Ouguz (Cuttlefish Bone), Shayuanzi (Astragalus Complanatus Seed), Tusizi (Cuscuta Seed), Chuanduan Rou (Sargentodoxa Stem), Zhenling Dan (Zhenling Pill, 2 qian).
Fan (Right): Bing Lou (Metrorrhagia and Metrostaxis) has not stopped for several days. Initially, there was lower abdominal pain; now the pain has ceased but soreness is felt. Every few days, clumps and sheets are discharged. Dizziness and tinnitus, floating yellow complexion, poor appetite, discomfort in the epigastrium. The pulse is Shu Ru Ruan (Rapid, Soft, and Weak); the tongue coating is floating white and lusterless. This is due to chronic Bing Lou causing deficiency of both Liver and Spleen, and impairment of the Zang organs' function to store and control blood. Fear of recurrent bleeding leading to syncope.
Taishenxu (Ginseng Radicula, separately decocted and taken, 7 fen), Yuanzhi Rou (Polygala Root Flesh, fried with Licorice Decoction, 5 fen), Zhu Fushen (Vermilion-coated Poria with Hostwood, 3 qian), Paojiang (Prepared Ginger, 4 fen), Chao Shanyao (Fried Chinese Yam, 3 qian), Xueyutan (Charred Human Hair, 1 qian).
Shufupian (Prepared Aconite Slice, 3 fen), Ye Yuzhu (Wild Atractylodes Rhizome, 1.5 qian), Muxiang (Aucklandia Root, 4 fen), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, thoroughly fried, 1.5 qian), Tong Shayuan (Astragalus Complanatus Seed, salt-water fried, 3 qian).
Chuanduan Rou (Sargentodoxa Stem, 3 qian), Zhenling Dan (Zhenling Pill, taken with Lotus Seed Decoction).
Zhang (Right): Metrorrhagia does not stop, discharging clumps and sheets. Recently, chest and epigastric discomfort, surging saliva with nausea, Qi distension and abdominal fullness. The pulse is Xi (Fine), Guan position is Xian Jin (Wiry and Forceful). This is due to Yin Blood failing to nourish, causing Jue Qi (Rebellious Qi) to rush up and harass Stomach Earth. Fear of complications arising from deficiency; caution is essential.
Guangpi (Broad Tangerine Peel), Zhibanxia (Prepared Pinellia Tuber), Fuling (Poria), Xuanfuhua (Inula Flower), Zhesi (Hematite), Jinlingzi (Melia Fruit), Jinshihu (Dendrobium Stem), Sharen (Amomum Fruit), Salt-water fried Zhuru (Bamboo Shavings), Zuojin Wan (Left Metal Pill).
Second Visit: Regulating Qi and suppressing rebellion, while harmonizing Liver and Stomach Yin, nausea has stabilized. However, blood clumps were discharged again; Qi distension and chest fullness have since relaxed. This is because Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) is the Sea of Blood; its channel ascends from Qichuan alongside the navel and disperses in the chest. Once Chong Mai stasis moves, Qi in the chest naturally expands. However, the mouth remains sticky; all body fluids have turned into saliva/phlegm, unable to swallow. After frequent spitting, the throat and tongue become dry. White fungal spots are scattered on the tongue edges. The pulse is Xu (Deficient) and Left is Large; Right Guan lacks vitality. Stomach Yin is severely depleted. Fear that Deficient Fire carrying turbid pathogens steams upward, causing widespread ulceration/destruction. What is meant by "complications from deficiency" refers precisely to this.
Xiyangshen (American Ginseng), Maidong (Ophiopogon Tuber), Chi Fuling Shen (Red Poria with Hostwood), Zhibanxia (Prepared Pinellia Tuber), Ju pi (Tangerine Peel), Ouguz (Cuttlefish Bone), Qiancao Tan (Charred Rubia Root), Zhesi (Hematite), Zhuru (Bamboo Shavings), Pipaye (Loquat Leaf).
Third Visit: Yesterday, administering herbs to descend rebellious Stomach Qi and harmonize Stomach Yin, oral stickiness and nausea decreased abruptly. This reveals the extent of Stomach Yin depletion. The pulse has become more restrained; tongue ulceration has resolved. Since the medication is effective, the prescription should be expanded.
Remove Zhesi (Hematite) from the previous formula; add Zixi Qin (Young Scutellaria Root), Beishashen (Northern Glehnia Root), Jinshihu (Dendrobium Stem).
