治劳役饮食不节，内障目病。（内障者，睛里昏暗。与不病之眼无异，惟瞳神
青白者，东垣曰∶五脏六腑之精气，皆禀受于脾胃，而上贯于目。脾者，诸阴之首
气血之宗也。故脾虚，则五脏之精气，皆失所司，不能归明于目矣。心者，君火
宜静而安，相火代行其令。相火者，包络也，主百脉，皆荣于目。既劳役运动，
及因邪气所并，而损其血脉，故诸病生焉。医者不理脾胃及养血安神，治标不治
理也。）

（类苑） 治目疾内障。（倪仲贤曰∶经曰∶心者，五脏之专精。目者，其窍也，又为
肝窍。肾主骨，骨之精为神水。故肝木不平，内挟心火，为势妄行，火炎不制，神水受伤，
上为内障，此五脏病也。诸脉皆属于目，相火者，心包络也，主百脉，上荣于目。火盛则百
脉沸腾，上为内障，此虚阳病也。膀胱小肠三焦胆脉，俱循于目，其精气亦上注为目之精。
四腑一衰，则精气尽败，邪火乘之，上为内障，此六腑病也。神水黑眼，皆法于阴。白眼赤
脉，皆法于阳。阴齐阳侔，故能为视。阴微不立，阳盛则淫。经曰∶壮火食气，壮火散气。
上为内障，此弱阴病也。四者，皆为阴弱不能配阳也。）
夜明砂（淘净） 蝉蜕 木贼（去节） 当归（一两酒洗） 以羊肝四两。水煮。捣烂
和丸。
蚊，食血之虫，夜明砂，皆蚊眼也，故能散目中恶血而明目。（蝙蝠食蚊而眼不化，其

治疗因过度劳累和饮食不规律导致的内障眼病。（所谓内障，是指眼球内部昏暗。外观上与健康的眼睛没有区别，只有瞳孔呈现青白色。李东垣说：五脏六腑的精气，都依赖脾胃的受纳运化，并向上灌注于眼睛。脾是诸阴经之首，也是气血的根源。所以脾虚时，五脏的精气都失去统摄，不能使目光清明。心主君火，应当安静平和，若君火不安，则相火代行其职权。相火由心包络所主，主管全身血脉，皆上荣于目。既然因为劳累运动，以及邪气侵犯而损伤了血脉，各种疾病便由此产生。医生如果不调理脾胃及养血安神，只是治标而不治本，是不对的。）
黄芩、人参（一两）、甘草（炙八钱）、白芍药、黄柏（酒炒四次，三钱）、蔓荆子（二钱）。每次取四钱药。
人参、甘草，大补中气，以强健脾胃。蔓荆子升发清阳而通利九窍，白芍药入厥阴肝经以调和营血。（眼睛得到血液的滋养……）
治疗火眼突发红肿疼痛，热邪在皮肤腠理之间，容易消散和解脱的，用此药点眼，即可痊愈。（如果热邪由内发出且深伏分肉之间的，不宜外用凉药，这不仅不能去除内热，反而会闭阻火邪。）
取鸡蛋一枚，开一个小孔，只取其蛋清，盛在瓷碗中，用黄连一钱，研成粉末，撒在蛋清上面，用筷子搅拌……取出蛋清……效果奇妙。
（《类苑》）治疗目疾内障。（倪仲贤说：医经记载：心是五脏精气的专注所在。眼睛是心的外窍，也是肝的外窍。肾主骨，骨的精气化为神水。所以肝木之气不平，内挟心火，气势妄行，火势炎上不受制约，损伤神水，向上发展为内障，这是五脏的疾病。所有脉络都归属于眼睛，相火即心包络，主管百脉，向上荣养眼睛。火盛则百脉沸腾，向上发展为内障，这是虚阳的病证。膀胱、小肠、三焦、胆的经脉，都循行经过眼睛，它们的精气也向上注入成为眼的精华。四腑之一衰退，则精气全部败坏，邪火趁机侵袭，向上发展为内障，这是六腑的疾病。神水和黑眼（角膜/晶状体等），都效法于阴。白眼和赤脉，都效法于阳。阴阳平衡，所以能视物。阴气微弱则无法支撑，阳气过盛则淫溢泛滥。医经说：壮火消耗元气，壮火散失元气。向上发展为内障，这是弱阴的病证。这四种情况，都是因为阴弱不能配合同阳所致。）
夜明砂（淘洗干净）、蝉蜕、木贼（去节）、当归（一两，酒洗）。用羊肝四两，水煮后捣烂，混合制成丸剂。
蚊子是食血的昆虫，夜明砂是蝙蝠的粪便（蝙蝠吃蚊子的眼睛不消化，其排泄物即为夜明砂），所以能消散眼中的恶血而明目。（蝙蝠吃蚊子而眼睛不变化，其粪便为……厥阴……）
（羊肝丸方）济生羊肝丸：黄连一两，羯羊肝一副。去掉筋膜，生用，捣烂混合制丸。本事方：煮烂后捣碎使用。
治疗肝……口不……昏花……利而明矣……解血郁也……降也。蔓……至于东……则玄府……
Treats internal cataracts caused by overexertion and irregular diet. (Internal cataract refers to dimness within the eyeball. It appears indistinguishable from a healthy eye externally, except that the pupil presents as blue-white. Li Dongyuan stated: The essence and qi of the five zang organs and six fu organs are all derived from the spleen and stomach, and ascend to nourish the eyes. The spleen is the head of all yin meridians and the source of qi and blood. Therefore, when the spleen is deficient, the essence and qi of the five zang organs lose their control and cannot clarify vision. The heart governs the Ministerial Fire (Jun Huo), which should be tranquil and peaceful; if not, the Dependent Fire (Xiang Huo) assumes its function. The Dependent Fire is governed by the Pericardium (Bao Luo), which controls the hundred vessels and nourishes the eyes. Since exertion and invasion by pathogenic factors damage the blood vessels, various diseases arise. If physicians fail to regulate the spleen and stomach and nourish the blood to calm the spirit, treating only symptoms without addressing the root cause is incorrect.)
Scutellariae Radix (Huang Qin), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen, 1 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle (Zhi Gan Cao, 8 qian), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao), Phellodendri Cortex (Huang Bo, stir-fried with wine four times, 3 qian), Viticis Fructus (Man Jing Zi, 2 qian). Take 4 qian per dose.
Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen) and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle (Zhi Gan Cao) greatly tonify Middle Qi to strengthen the spleen and stomach. Viticis Fructus (Man Jing Zi) raises clear Yang and unblocks the nine orifices. Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao) enters the Jueyin Liver Meridian to harmonize Ying Blood. (The eyes benefit from blood nourishment...)
Treats sudden redness, swelling, and pain of fire-eye, where heat is located in the skin and interstices and is easily dissipated. Apply this medication topically to the eyes for cure. (If heat originates internally and is deeply seated in the muscle layers, topical cooling medications are contraindicated, as they will not remove internal heat but instead trap the pathogenic fire.)
Take one egg, make a small hole, extract only the albumen, and place it in a porcelain bowl. Take 1 qian of Coptidis Rhizoma (Huang Lian), grind into powder, sprinkle onto the egg albumen, stir with chopsticks... extract the albumen... miraculous effect.
(From *Lei Yuan*) Treats ocular diseases and internal cataracts. (Ni Zhongxian said: The classics state: The heart is the concentration of the essence of the five zang organs. The eyes are its orifice, and also the orifice of the liver. The kidney governs bones, and the essence of bones transforms into Divine Water (Shen Shui). Thus, if Liver Wood is imbalanced, it harbors Heart Fire internally, causing reckless movement. Uncontrolled flaming fire damages Divine Water, leading upward to internal cataracts; this is a disease of the five zang organs. All vessels belong to the eyes. The Dependent Fire is the Pericardium, governing the hundred vessels and nourishing the eyes upward. Excessive fire causes the hundred vessels to boil, leading upward to internal cataracts; this is a disease of deficient Yang. The Bladder, Small Intestine, Sanjiao, and Gallbladder meridians all traverse the eyes, and their essence and qi also ascend to become the essence of the eyes. If any of these four fu organs declines, essence and qi are completely depleted, and pathogenic fire takes advantage to invade, leading upward to internal cataracts; this is a disease of the six fu organs. Divine Water and the black eye follow Yin. The white eye and red vessels follow Yang. When Yin and Yang are balanced, vision is possible. If Yin is weak, it cannot stand firm; if Yang is excessive, it becomes invasive. The classics state: Vigorous fire consumes Qi, vigorous fire scatters Qi. Leading upward to internal cataracts, this is a disease of weak Yin. These four conditions all result from Yin deficiency failing to match Yang.)
Pharbitidis Semen (Ye Ming Sha, washed clean), Cicadae Periostracum (Chan Tui), Equiseti Herba (Mu Zei, remove nodes), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Dang Gui, 1 liang, washed with wine). Use 4 liang of Ovis Caprae Hepar (Yang Gan), boil in water, mash, and mix to form pills.
Mosquitoes are insects that feed on blood. Pharbitidis Semen (Ye Ming Sha) is bat feces (bats eat mosquitoes, and their eyes do not digest them; their excrement constitutes Ye Ming Sha). Therefore, it can dissipate evil blood in the eyes and improve vision. (Bats eat mosquitoes without eye degeneration; their feces constitute... Jueyin...)
(Jisheng Yanggan Wan): Coptidis Rhizoma (Huang Lian, 1 liang), male sheep liver (Ge Yang Gan, one piece). Remove fascia, use raw, mash, and mix to form pills. *Ben Shi Fang*: Boil until soft, mash, and use.
Treats Liver... mouth not... blurred vision... clear and bright... resolves blood stagnation... descends. Man... regarding Dong... then Xuanfu...
