乌雄鸡肉，微温。主补中，
止痛。胆，微寒，主疗目不明，肌疮。心，主五邪。血，主 折，骨痛及痿痹。肪，主耳聋。
鸡肠，平，主遗溺，小便
数不禁。肝及左翅毛，主起阴。冠血，主乳难。 里黄皮，微寒，主泄痢，小便利，遗溺，
除热，止烦。
屎白，微寒。主消渴，伤寒，寒热，破石淋及转筋，利小便，止遗溺，灭瘢痕。黑雌鸡，
主风寒湿痹，五缓六急，安胎。其血，无毒，平。疗中恶腹痛，及 折骨痛，乳难。翮羽，
主下血闭。黄雌鸡，味酸、甘，平。主伤中，消渴，小便数不禁，肠 泄痢，补益五脏，续
绝伤，疗虚劳，益气力。肋骨，主小儿羸瘦，食不生肌。鸡子，主除热火疮，疗痫 ，可作
琥珀神物。卵白，微寒，疗目热赤痛，除心下伏热，止烦满，咳逆，小儿下泄，妇人产难，
胞衣不出。醯渍之一宿，疗黄胆，破大烦热。卵中白皮，主久咳结气，得麻黄、紫菀和服之
立已。鸡白蠹能肥脂，生朝鲜平泽。
鸡此例又甚多，云鸡子作琥珀者，用欲 卵黄白，混杂煮作之，亦极相似，惟不拾芥耳。又
金。鸡子不可合葫、蒜及李子食之。乌鸡肉，不可合犬肝、肾食之。小儿食鸡肉，好生蛔虫。
又鸡不可合芥叶蒸食之。朝鲜乃在玄兔乐浪，不应总是鸡所出。今云白蠹，不知是何物，恐
此别一种耳。

【豺皮】
性味热。主治冷痹（因寒邪凝滞导致的肢体麻木疼痛）和香港脚（足部肿胀疼痛之病），将其煮熟后，缠绕于患处，即可痊愈。（新附）
【丹雄鸡】
味甘，性微温、微寒，无毒。主治妇女崩中漏下（非经期大量出血或淋漓不尽）、赤白带下，具有补虚损、温中焦、止血的功效，治疗不愈合的疮疡，通利神志，解毒杀毒，辟除不祥之气。
鸡头，主治驱鬼（指祛除邪祟致病），东门上悬挂者效果更佳。
白雄鸡肉，味酸，性微温，主治降气，治疗狂乱邪气，安养五脏，治疗中焦损伤，消渴症。
乌雄鸡肉，性微温。主治补益中气，止痛。
鸡胆，性微寒，主治治疗视力不明，肌肤疮疡。
鸡心，主治五邪（泛指各种不正之气或杂病）。
鸡血，主治跌折（骨折扭伤），骨痛及痿痹（肢体萎软无力、麻木疼痛）。
鸡脂肪，主治耳聋。
鸡肠，性平，主治遗尿，小便频数且无法控制。
鸡肝及左翅毛，主治起阴（治疗阳痿不起）。
鸡冠血，主治乳汁难下。
鸡内金（鸡胗里的黄皮），性微寒，主治泄泻痢疾，通利小便，遗尿，清除热邪，止烦渴。
鸡屎白，性微寒。主治消渴，伤寒，寒热往来，破石淋（尿路结石）及转筋（肌肉痉挛），通利小便，止遗尿，消除瘢痕。
黑雌鸡，主治风寒湿痹，五缓六急（形容筋脉拘急或弛缓的各种病症），安胎。其血，无毒，性平。治疗中恶腹痛，以及跌折骨痛，乳汁难下。
翮羽（翅膀上的硬羽），主治下血闭（便血或月经闭止等瘀血阻滞）。
黄雌鸡，味酸、甘，性平。主治中焦损伤，消渴，小便频数且无法控制，肠鸣泄痢，补益五脏，接续绝伤，治疗虚劳，益气力。
肋骨，主治小儿羸瘦（身体消瘦虚弱），饮食不能生肌。
鸡蛋，主治清除热火疮，治疗癫痫，可制作成琥珀状的神物。
卵白（蛋清），性微寒，治疗目热赤痛，清除心下伏热，止烦闷胀满，咳逆，小儿腹泻，妇人产难，胞衣不出。用醋浸泡一夜，治疗黄疸，破除大烦热。
卵中白皮（蛋壳内膜），主治久咳结气，配合麻黄、紫菀一起服用，立即见效。
鸡白蠹（一种寄生在鸡体内的虫或物质）能使人肥脂，产于朝鲜平泽。
关于鸡的记载还有很多，有人说用鸡蛋制作琥珀，是将蛋黄蛋白混杂煮制而成，也非常相似，只是不能吸引芥子罢了。又有说法称其为“金”。鸡蛋不可与葱、蒜及李子同食。乌鸡肉不可与犬肝、肾同食。小儿吃鸡肉，容易生蛔虫。另外，鸡不可与芥叶蒸食。朝鲜位于玄兔乐浪之地，不应全是鸡所出。如今所说的白蠹，不知是什么东西，恐怕是另一种东西吧。

[Chai Pi (Cheetah Skin)]
Nature: Hot. Indications: Cold Bi syndrome (painful obstruction due to cold pathogen) and Hongjiao (foot swelling and pain). Preparation: Cook thoroughly, wrap around the affected area, and it will heal. (Newly added)
[Danzhongji (Red Rooster)]
Flavor: Sweet. Nature: Slightly warm, slightly cold. Toxicity: Non-toxic. Indications: Benzhong loudxia (metrorrhagia and leukorrhea) in women, red and white vaginal discharge; tonifies deficiency, warms the middle jiao, stops bleeding; treats non-healing sores; unblocks the spirit; detoxifies; wards off misfortune.
Chicken head: Treats "killing ghosts" (dispelling evil spirits causing illness); those from the east gate are superior.
White rooster meat: Flavor sour, nature slightly warm. Indications: Directs qi downward, treats mania and邪气 (evil influences), calms the five zang organs, treats middle jiao injury, xiaoke (wasting-thirst syndrome).
Black rooster meat: Nature slightly warm. Indications: Tonifies the middle jiao, relieves pain.
Gallbladder: Nature slightly cold. Indications: Treats blurred vision, skin sores.
Heart: Indications: Treats wuxie (five evils/miscellaneous pathogens).
Blood: Indications: Treats fractures/dislocations, bone pain, and wei-bi (flaccidity and numbness).
Fat: Indications: Treats deafness.
Intestines: Nature neutral. Indications: Enuresis, frequent urination with incontinence.
Liver and left wing feathers: Indications: Promotes erection (yang rising).
Comb blood: Indications: Difficult lactation.
Jineijin (Inner lining of gizzard): Nature slightly cold. Indications: Diarrhea and dysentery, promotes urination, enuresis, clears heat, relieves irritability.
Chicken feces (white part): Nature slightly cold. Indications: Xiaoke (wasting-thirst), shanghan (cold damage), alternating chills and fever, breaks shilin (urinary calculi) and zhuanjin (muscle cramps), promotes urination, stops enuresis, eliminates scars.
Black hen: Indications: Wind-cold-damp Bi syndrome, wu huan liu ji (various tendon spasms and flaccidity), calms the fetus. Its blood: Non-toxic, nature neutral. Indications: Abdominal pain due to sudden evil invasion, fracture pain, difficult lactation.
Feathers (wing quills): Indications: Lower bleeding and blood stasis.
Yellow hen: Flavor sour, sweet; nature neutral. Indications: Middle jiao injury, xiaoke, frequent urination with incontinence, intestinal diarrhea, tonifies the five zang organs, repairs severe injuries, treats xu lao (deficiency consumption), supplements qi and strength.
Ribs: Indications: Emaciation in children, poor muscle growth from diet.
Egg: Indications: Clears hot fire sores, treats epilepsy, can be processed into amber-like divine substance.
Egg white (albumen): Nature slightly cold. Indications: Red and painful eyes due to heat, clears latent heat under the heart, relieves irritability and fullness, cough and reverse flow, pediatric diarrhea, dystocia, retained placenta. Processed by soaking in vinegar overnight: treats jaundice, resolves severe irritability and heat.
Membrane inside eggshell: Indications: Chronic cough with qi stagnation; when taken with Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) and Ziwan (Asteris Radix), relief is immediate.
Jibaidu (parasite/substance in chicken): Promotes fat gain; originates from Pyeongjeok in Joseon.
There are many other records regarding chickens. Some say amber made from eggs involves boiling yolk and white together, which looks very similar but does not attract mustard seeds. It is also referred to as "gold." Eggs should not be eaten with scallions, garlic, or plums. Black chicken meat should not be eaten with dog liver and kidneys. Children eating chicken meat are prone to roundworms. Also, chicken should not be steamed with mustard leaves. Joseon is located in Xuanmou and Laelang, implying it may not be the sole origin. The current "Baidu" is unknown, possibly a different species.
