The diseases caused by the "Five Corpse" pathogens are indeed diverse. The most severe among them are the Five Corpse diseases. If the onset is rapid, resembling a running or flying motion, it is named Fei Shi (Flying Corpse). If the pathogen lingers and does not dissipate, it is called Dun Shi (Lurking Corpse). If it becomes deeply entrenched in the internal organs, it is called Chen Shi (Sinking Corpse). If it is triggered by wind exposure, it is called Feng Shi (Wind Corpse). If it remains latent for years without being eradicated, it is called Fu Shi (Hidden Corpse).
The qi of these five corpse pathogens manifests in various ways. Generally, they cause lethargy and silence, with pain occurring at unpredictable locations. Beyond the five corpses, there is also the pathogen of Zhu Shi (Infectious Corpse). Although each has distinct symptoms, they are largely similar with minor differences, and can be treated with general formulas. These formulas are originally designed for broad application.
Fei Shi (Flying Corpse): Wanders through the skin and penetrates the viscera. Each attack causes stabbing pain and unpredictable changes.
Dun Shi (Lurking Corpse): Adheres to bones and muscles, attacking blood vessels. During an attack, one feels unable to approach others; it is triggered by witnessing funerals or hearing crying sounds.
Feng Shi (Wind Corpse): [Text missing] causes inconvenience in the four limbs.
Zhu Shi (Infectious Corpse): Causes heaviness of the whole body, mental confusion, and a constant feeling of drowsiness and debility. It flares up with every change of solar term and is very severe.
