The *Huangdi Neijing* (Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon) states: Among the true qi of the zang-fu organs, the Lung is positioned highest. It also states: When true qi is depleted, deficiency occurs. Currently, cold in the Lung leads to insufficiency of the Lung's true qi. Consequently, upper-body deficiency fails to control the lower body, resulting in Lung萎 (Lung Flaccidity Syndrome) above and frequent urination below. Symptoms such as spitting out saliva and froth, and having the urge to cough but being unable to do so, are all manifestations of this syndrome. The treatment principle should be to harmonize with warm herbs.
