菖蒲散（出自《圣惠方》），治疗肾脏风虚证，耳中经常鸣响，声音有时像风雨声。
药材：石菖蒲、附子（炮制裂开，去皮和脐）、桂心、熟地黄、沉香（各一两）、远志（去掉心，锉碎）、防风（去掉芦头）、人参（去掉芦头）、山茱萸、杜仲（去掉粗皮，炙至微黄，锉碎）、天麻、石斛（去掉根，锉碎）、黄芪（锉碎，各三分）、磁石（二两，捣碎后用水淘洗去除红色汁液，用布包裹）。以上药物研为散剂。每次服用五钱，加水一大盏，放入包裹磁石的包同煎。
肉苁蓉丸（出自《圣惠方》），治疗肾脏风虚证，耳内经常鸣响。

药材：羚羊角（镑片）、鹿茸（去皮，酒浸，炙，各三两）、五加皮、茯神（去掉木心，各二两）、酸枣仁（炒）、枳实（去掉瓤，麸炒）、熟地黄（焙，各一两半）。以上药物粗捣筛过。每次服用三钱，先用水三盏，煮一只羊肾。
万灵丸（出自《宣明论》），治疗肾脏各种耳鸣，腰疼，筋骨疼痛。
药材：草乌头（炮制）、黑狗脊（各二两）、仙茅（一两）、赤芍药、防风、五灵脂、黄芪、细辛、海桐皮、山茵陈、骨碎补、地龙、牛膝、何首乌、蔓荆子、白附子、川乌头、巨胜子（即黑芝麻，各八两）、黑牵牛（半两）、芫花（三分，炒）、青皮、御米子（即罂粟壳，炒，各二分）。以上药物研为细末，用酒和面糊制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用十丸至二十丸，温酒送下，空腹或食前服用。
补益肾肝丸（出自《阑室秘藏方》），治疗眼中流火感，视物昏花，耳聋耳鸣，困倦乏力，睡时出汗恶风，行走困难。
药材：柴胡、羌活、生地黄（炒）、苦参（炒）、防己（炒，以上各半分）、附子（一分）、肉桂（一分）、当归身（三分）。以上药物研为细末，用熟水制成鸡头仁大小的丸剂。每次服用五十丸，温水送下，食前服用。此方兼治表寒、冬寒及心肺相关症状。
太阳经嚏药（出自《阑室秘藏方》）
药材：防风根（二分）、羌活根（三分）、红豆（少许，两个）。以上药物研为细末，吸入鼻内嗅之。
牛膝海桐皮煎丸（出自《王氏普济方》），治疗肾脏风邪并肾余气，有时上攻耳目头面背膊，以及流注于手擘腰部。
药材：牛膝（半斤）、海桐皮（半斤，这两味药细锉杵成末，用好酒五升在铜石器内熬成膏）、附子（二两，炮制去皮脐）、赤箭（即天麻，二两）、川乌头（二两，炮制去皮脐）、川苦楝（二两）、五加皮（一两）、虎头骨（四两，涂酥炙令黄色）、大黄（二两半）、桃仁（二两，去皮尖，麸炒黄色）、赤芍药（一两）、肉桂（一两，去掉粗皮）、当归（一两）、麻黄（一两，去掉根节）、地龙（一两，去土微炒）、川芎（二两）、木香、独活、没药（研）、乳香（研）、防风（去掉芦头）、骨碎补、麒麟竭（血竭）、舶上茴香、沉香、天南星（生用）、干蝎（各一两）、砂（半两，研，水飞过）、麝香（半两，研）。以上二十味药，修治干净后同为细末，再研磨均匀细腻，然后加入前面的膏内调和均匀，再杵捣三两千下，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。每天空腹时，用温酒或盐汤送下十丸。忌口事项略。

Ingredients: Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, 1 liang, cracked by processing, skin and umbilicus removed), Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), Renshen (Ginseng Radix, radix neck removed), Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus, each 3 qian), Cishi (Magnetitum, crushed, washed with water to remove red juice, wrapped in cloth), Roucongrong (Cistanches Herba, soaked in wine overnight, scraped clean of wrinkled bark, dried by roasting, each 2 liang). Process the above into a powder. Take 5 qian per dose. Add 1 da zhan of water, one pair of sheep kidneys (cut open, remove fatty membrane), 0.5 fen of fresh ginger, and three stems of Xiebai (Allii Macrostemonis Bulbus). Simmer the magnetite packet together with the medicine until reduced to 0.5 da zhan. Strain.
Yangjiao Tang (Decoction of Sheep Horn) [from *Shengji Zonglu*]: Treats Kidney Wind-Deficiency, insufficiency of Zang-Qi, lower back pain with tinnitus, immobility of limbs, irritability, fatigue, and weakness.
Ingredients: Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, shaved), Lurong (Cornus Cervi Pantotrichum, skin removed, soaked in wine, roasted, each 3 liang), Wujiaopi (Acanthopanacis Cortex), Fushen (Poria cum Pinodia, wood removed, each 2 liang), Szaoren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen, stir-fried), Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, pulp removed, bran-roasted), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, baked, each 1.5 liang). Coarsely grind and sieve. Take 3 qian per dose. First, boil one sheep kidney in 3 zhan of water.
Wanling Wan (Ten Thousand Spirits Pill) [from *Xuanming Lun*]: Treats all types of tinnitus due to Kidney disorders, lower back pain, and bone-joint pain.
Ingredients: Caowutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix Praeparata), Heigouji (Drynariae Rhizoma, each 2 liang), Xianmao (Curculiginis Rhizoma, 1 liang), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Wulingzhi (Trogopterori Faeces), Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Haitongpi (Sapiae Cortex), Shan Yinchen (Artemisiae Scopariae Herba), Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma), Dilong (Pheretima), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), Heshouwu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix), Manjingzi (Vittariae Semen), Baifuze (Bellerici Fructus), Chuawutou (Aconiti Radix Praeparata), Jushengzi (Sesami Nigris Semen, each 8 liang), Qeiniu (Phaseoli Semen, half liang), Yuanhua (Genkwa Flos, 3 qian, stir-fried), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), Yumizi (Papaveris Fructus, stir-fried, each 2 fen). Process the above into powder. Make pills using wine and flour paste, size of Sophora seeds. Take 10-20 pills per dose, with warm wine, on an empty stomach or before meals.
Buyi Shen Gan Wan (Pill for Tonifying Kidney and Liver) [from *Lanshi Micang Fang*]: Treats sensation of fire flowing in eyes, blurred vision, deafness and tinnitus, fatigue, night sweats with aversion to wind, and difficulty walking.
Ingredients: Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix, stir-fried), Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, stir-fried), Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix, stir-fried, each half fen), Fuzi (Aconiti Radix Praeparata, 1 fen), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex, 1 fen), Dangguishen (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 3 qian). Process the above into powder. Make pills using boiled water, size of Chinese dates. Take 50 pills per dose, with warm water, before meals. This formula also treats exterior cold, winter-cold, and Heart-Lung conditions.
Taiyang Jing Xi Yao (Snuff Powder for Taiyang Meridian) [from *Lanshi Micang Fang*]
Ingredients: Fangfenggen (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 2 fen), Qianghuogen (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 3 fen), Hongdou (Adenantherae Pavoninae Semen, a few, two pieces). Process the above into fine powder. Sniff into the nose.
Niuxi Haitongpi Jian Wan (Pill of Achyranthes and Saposhnikovia Decoction) [from *Wangshi Puji Fang*]: Treats Kidney Wind and residual Qi of the Kidney, which sometimes attacks upwards to the ears, eyes, head, face, back, and shoulders, or flows into the hands and waist.
Ingredients: Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, 5 jin), Haitongpi (Sapiae Cortex, 5 jin; these two are finely cut, pounded into powder, and decocted with 5 sheng of good wine in a copper or earthenware vessel until forming a paste), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, 2 liang, processed, skin and umbilicus removed), Chijian (Gastrodiae Rhizoma, 2 liang), Chuawutou (Aconiti Radix Praeparata, 2 liang, processed, skin and umbilicus removed), Chuankelian (Meliae Toosendan Fructus, 2 liang), Wujiaopi (Acanthopanacis Cortex, 1 liang), Hutougu (Ossis Tigridis, 4 liang, coated with butter, roasted until yellow), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 2.5 liang), Taoren (Persicae Semen, 2 liang, skin and tip removed, bran-roasted until yellow), Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra, 1 liang), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex, 1 liang, coarse bark removed), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 1 liang), Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, 1 liang, roots and joints removed), Dilong (Pheretima, 1 liang, earth removed, slightly stir-fried), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 2 liang), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Moyao (Myrrha), Xurong (Olibanum, ground), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, radix neck removed), Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma), Qilinjie (Santalum Album? Note: Usually refers to Dragon's Blood, Dracaenae Sangue), Bo Shang Huixiang (Foeniculi Fructus), Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum), Tiannanxing (Arisomatis Rhizoma, raw use), Ganxie (Scorpio, each 1 liang), Sha (Borax, half liang, ground, water-classified), Shexiang (Moschus, half liang, ground). Process the above twenty ingredients cleanly, grind into powder, refine until uniform and fine. Then mix with the previous paste, knead 3,000-2,000 times more. Make pills size of Sophora seeds. Take 10 pills daily on an empty stomach with warm wine or salt water. Avoid certain foods.
To treat tinnitus sounding like wind and water, or like striking bells and chimes, due to Kidney Qi Deficiency, or sudden deafness. [From *Bencao*]
Method: Mix Shujiao (Zanthoxyli Fructus), Badou (Crotonis Semen), Changpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), and Songzhi (Pini Resina). Melt wax to form a tube/cylinder. Insert into the ear. Change once daily. Highly effective.
