老山栀为末，溶黄蜡等分，和为丸弹子大，空心茶酒嚼下。半月效。忌酒炙爆。
用枇杷叶去毛，焙干末之，茶调下一二钱。日三服。
治心脾壅热，生木舌肿胀。
玄参 升麻 大黄（湿纸裹甑上蒸） 犀角（镑各三分） 甘草（半两炙）
上细末，每服三钱，水一盏，煎至五分，温服，不拘时候。
治口生疮方。
治食诸鱼骨鲠久不出方。
皂角末少许吹鼻中，得鲠出，多秘此方。
治悬痈肿痛不下食。

白矾 成白灰，每用一钱，入胭脂一字，研匀，用绵杖子缠去耳中脓及黄水尽，即别用
绵杖子引药入耳中。令到底掺之即干。如壮盛之人，积热上攻，耳出脓水瘥。用无忧散雄黄
丸，泻三五行即瘥。
治肾虚耳鸣。夜间睡着如打战鼓，觉耳内风吹，更四肢抽掣痛。

治男子二十岁因疮毒后肾经热，右耳听事不真。每心中不意，则转觉重，虚鸣疼痛。

上粗末，每服四钱，水一盏半，煎七分，去滓，日二三服，不拘时候。
用老山栀子研成粉末，与融化的黄蜡按等量混合，调和制成如弹子大小的药丸。空腹时嚼服，送服茶水或酒。半个月可见效。忌食酒类、烤炙及油炸食物。
取枇杷叶去除绒毛，焙干后研成粉末，用茶水调服一至二钱。每日服用三次。
治疗心脾积热导致的木舌肿胀（舌头僵硬肿大）。

治疗口内生疮的方剂。
升麻（一两一分） 黄连（三分，去须）
以上药物研成细末，用绵絮包裹含在口中，让药汁慢慢咽下。
治疗食用各种鱼类后鱼骨卡喉久久不出的方剂。
将少许皂角末吹入鼻中，使异物排出，多数人依赖此方。
治疗悬痈肿痛导致无法进食。
玄参（一两） 升麻 射干 大黄（用湿纸包裹，放在蒸笼上蒸熟，各半两） 甘草（一分，炙过）
以上药物研成细末，每次服用三钱，加水一盏，煎煮至七分，放温，时时含咽，疗效良好。
治疗耳道流脓。
将白矾烧制成白灰，每次使用一钱，加入胭脂一字，研磨均匀。用棉签棒伸入耳中，将脓液和黄水彻底清除干净，然后另换一根棉签棒蘸取药粉送入耳底撒布，即可干燥。如果是体质壮实之人，因积热上攻导致耳道流脓久治不愈，可使用无忧散或雄黄丸，泻下三到五次后即可痊愈。
治疗肾虚耳鸣。夜间入睡时感觉如同打战鼓，醒来觉得耳内有风吹感，且四肢抽搐疼痛。
黄芪（选用独茎者，去芦头，一两，蜜炙） 白蒺藜（炒制，在瓦片上摩擦扬去细碎刺） 羌活（去芦头，各半两）
以上药物研成细末，用酒糊制成梧桐子大小的药丸，每次服用三四十丸，空腹及晚饭前，用煨葱盐汤送服。
治疗男子二十岁时因疮毒后遗症导致肾经有热，右耳听力不真。每当心中无故烦躁时，便感觉头部沉重，出现虚鸣和疼痛。
生干地黄（二两半） 桑白皮（洗净，蜜炙至黄色，一两） 磁石（捣碎，用水淘洗二三十次，直到赤色汁液完全去除为止，二两） 枳壳（去瓤，细切，麸炒至黄色） 羌活（去芦头） 防风（去钗股状部分） 黄芩（去皮）
以上药物制成粗末，每次服用四钱，加水一盏半，煎煮至七分，去渣，每日服用二到三次，不限时间。
Use old Gardenia jasminoides fruit (Zhizi, 栀子) ground into powder, mixed with an equal amount of melted Beeswax (Huangla, 黄蜡), blended and formed into pills the size of a bullet. Chew on an empty stomach with tea or wine as a vehicle. Efficacy observed within half a month. Avoid alcohol, roasted, and fried foods.
Take Loquat leaf (Pipaye, 枇杷叶), remove hairs, dry by roasting, and grind into powder. Mix with tea water for oral administration, one to two qian per dose. Take three times daily.
Treats Heart and Spleen heat accumulation causing Wood Tongue swelling (stiff and swollen tongue).
Scrophulariae Radix (Xuan Shen, 玄参) Cinnamomi Ramulus (Sheng Ma, 升麻) Rheum Palmatum Root and Rhizome (Dahuang, 大黄) [wrapped in wet paper and steamed] Cornu Rinocerotis (Xijiao, 犀角) [sliced, each 3 fen] Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草) [half lian, honey-fried]
Grind the above into fine powder. For each dose, take 3 qian, add one zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 0.5 zhan, take warm, at any time.
Formula for treating mouth ulcers.
Cinnamomi Ramulus (Sheng Ma, 升麻) [1 lian 1 fen] Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, 黄连) [3 fen, remove roots]
Grind the above into fine powder. Wrap in cotton wool, hold in mouth, allow juice to drip and swallow.
Formula for treating fish bones stuck in the throat for a long time after eating various fish.
Blow a small amount of Sophora Flavescens Seed powder (Zaojiao, 皂角) into the nose to expel the bone; many rely on this method.
Treats Frenulum abscess (Xuan Yong, 悬痈) with swelling and pain preventing eating.

Grind the above into fine powder. For each dose, take 3 qian, add one zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 0.7 zhan, let cool slightly, hold in mouth and swallow occasionally; effective.
Treats otorrhea (pus discharge from ear).
Burn Alum (Bai Fan, 白矾) into white ash. Use 1 qian per dose, add 1 zi of Carthamus tinctorius flower (Yanzhi, 胭脂), grind evenly. Use a cotton swab to wipe out pus and yellow fluid from the ear completely, then use another swab dipped in the medicine to reach the bottom of the ear canal and sprinkle it there to dry. In robust individuals with accumulated heat attacking upwards causing chronic otorrhea, use Wuyou San or Xionghuang Wan; purging three to five times will lead to recovery.
Treats Kidney deficiency tinnitus. At night while sleeping, sound like beating war drums is heard; upon waking, wind blowing sensation in ears, accompanied by spasmodic pain in four limbs.
Astragali Membranaceus Radix (Huangqi, 黄芪) [single stem, remove rhizome, 1 lian, honey-fried] Tribuli Fructus (Bajili, 白蒺藜) [fried, rubbed on tile to remove sharp spines] Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, 羌活) [remove rhizome, each half lian]
Grind the above into fine powder, make pills with wine paste the size of Wu Zi (Chinese quince seeds). Take 30-40 pills per dose on an empty stomach and before evening meal, downed with decoction of baked green onion and salt.
Treats men aged twenty who, following toxic sores, developed Heat in the Kidney Meridian, resulting in inaccurate hearing in the right ear. Whenever feeling inexplicable mental agitation, heaviness in the head is felt, along with empty ringing and pain.
Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (Sheng Dihuang, 生干地黄) [2 lian 5 qian] Morus Alba Cortex (Sangbaipi, 桑白皮) [washed clean, honey-fried to yellow, 1 lian] Magnetitum (Cishi, 磁石) [crushed, washed in water 20-30 times until red color disappears, 2 lian] Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhiqiao, 枳壳) [remove pith, cut finely, bran-fried to yellow] Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, 羌活) [remove rhizome] Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, 防风) [remove twig-like parts] Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, 黄芩) [remove bark]
Grind the above into coarse powder. For each dose, take 4 qian, add 1.5 zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 0.7 zhan, strain, take two to three times daily, at any time.
