根皮煎汤能解砒毒，烧灰油调涂汤火伤。核仁疗香港脚，然须多食，以柿漆拌核暴之即自裂也

浣油腻，同水捣浆衣杀虫虱，去痰涤垢之功可例推矣。熟则壅遏闭气，多食令人胪胀昏闷。
昔有饥者，薄暮食此过多，次日胀闷欲死，急以鹅翎蘸香油探吐，方可得生。粪清灌之亦生
，取其能降泄也。

发明 补骨脂属火，能使心包与命门之火相通。胡桃属水，润燥养血，佐补骨脂有水火
相生之妙。胡桃肉类三焦，而外皮水汁皆青黑，故能通命门，助相火；同补骨脂、杜仲、青
盐，名青蛾丸，治肾虚腰痛，以其能补肾也。同人参名应梦散，治肺寒喘嗽，以其能敛肺也
。同生姜咀嚼亦治寒痰喘嗽。若多食动风，脱人眉毛，详其同钱细嚼即与铜俱化，与甘蔗同
嚼则蔗渣消融，其消肺烁肝可知。《丹方》用其瓤烧令黑，和松脂敷瘰 有效。又以连皮胡
桃肉同贝母、全蝎枚数相等蜜丸，治鼠 痰核，总取以通郁结也。但肺有痰热，命门火炽者
勿食。其壳烧灰存性治乳痈，取灰末二钱，酒调服之，未肿即消，已溃渐敛。但不可以其烟
薰衣，衣即易毁，青胡桃皮涂髭发皆黑。

【发明】补骨脂属火，能使心包与命门之火相通。胡桃属水，润燥养血，佐助补骨脂有水火相生的妙处。胡桃肉入三焦经，而外皮水汁皆呈青黑色，故能通命门，助相火；与补骨脂、杜仲、青盐同用，名为青蛾丸，治疗肾虚腰痛，因为它能补肾。与人参同用名为应梦散，治疗肺寒喘嗽，因为它能敛肺。同生姜咀嚼也能治疗寒痰喘嗽。如果多吃则动风，使人眉毛脱落，详细考察其与铜钱细嚼即与铜一起熔化，与甘蔗同嚼则蔗渣消融，可知其消肺烁肝（耗伤肺气肝阴）的作用。《丹方》用其内种皮烧至变黑，和松脂外敷治疗瘰疬有效。又以连皮胡桃肉同贝母、全蝎数量相等制成蜜丸，治疗鼠瘘痰核，总取以疏通郁结的作用。但是肺有痰热，命门火炽的人不要食用。其壳烧灰存性治疗乳痈，取灰末二钱，酒调服，未肿的即消，已溃的逐渐收敛。但不可以用其烟熏衣服，衣服就会容易毁坏，青胡桃皮涂髭发都能变黑。

[Invention/Commentary] Yangmei (Chinese bayberry) is a fruit of the Heart blood level, and also enters the Liver, Spleen, and Pericardium channels. It can quench thirst and relieve irritability. When burned to ash, it stops dysentery; when preserved in salt, it stops hiccups and vomiting, and resolves alcohol intoxication. However, individuals with blood heat and excessive fire should not consume it in excess, as it may disturb the blood in the collaterals and cause epistaxis. Although its nature is warm, it can treat heat stagnation according to the disease's trend and resolve toxicity. Decoction of its root bark can resolve arsenic poisoning; when burned to ash and mixed with oil for topical application, it treats burns and scalds. The kernel treats Hong Kong foot (podagra/tinea pedis with swelling and ulceration), but requires large doses. If mixed with persimmon lacquer and exposed to the sun, the kernels will naturally split open.

[Invention/Commentary] Cherries belong to Fire and tend to generate damp-heat. For those with pre-existing febrile diseases or wheezing cough, consumption leads to immediate exacerbation. A smaller variety is called Mountain Cherry (Shan Yingtao), which has a sweet and neutral nature without generating heat. It can stop intestinal slipping and seminal emission. Is it because its form is unremarkable that it is harmless to eat? Its pit is currently used by people to promote the eruption of smallpox/rashes; its power assists Fire, which is highly inappropriate, especially taboo during spring and summer.
Commonly known as Baiguo (Ginkgo nut).

[Invention/Commentary] Ginkgo is used in formulas for stabilizing asthma. Chewing raw stops leukorrhea, descends phlegm, detoxifies, and kills parasites. Applied to the nose, face, hands, and feet, it removes dark spots. Raw and pounded can wash away grease; when pounded with water into a paste for clothing, it kills lice. Its ability to resolve phlegm and cleanse filth can be inferred from these examples. When cooked, it obstructs and closes the Qi; excessive consumption causes abdominal distension, fullness, and dizziness. In the past, a starving person ate too many at dusk and suffered severe distension and suffocation the next day, nearly dying. They were saved only after being induced to vomit urgently with goose feather dipped in sesame oil.灌ing fecal urine could also save them, utilizing its descending and purging properties.

[Invention/Commentary] Buguzhi (Psoralea corylifolia) belongs to Fire and facilitates communication between the Fire of the Pericardium and the Fire of the Mingmen (Gate of Life). Hetao (Walnut) belongs to Water, moistens dryness, and nourishes blood. When assisting Buguzhi, it creates the wonder of Water and Fire generating each other. Walnut meat enters the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), while the outer green-black juice indicates its ability to unblock the Mingmen and assist the Ministerial Fire. Combined with Buguzhi, Duzhong (Eucommia bark), and Qingyan (Green Salt), it forms Qing'e Wan (Blue Bird Pill), treating Kidney deficiency lower back pain due to its Kidney-nourishing property. Combined with Renshen (Ginseng), it forms Yingmeng San (Dream-Granting Powder), treating Lung cold with wheezing and cough due to its ability to astringe the Lung. Chewing with fresh Ginger also treats cold-phlegm wheezing. However, excessive consumption generates wind and causes eyebrow loss. Detailed examination shows that chewing finely with copper coins causes the copper to dissolve, and chewing with sugarcane causes the cane residue to melt, indicating its capacity to consume Lung Qi and scorchen Liver Yin. *Danfang* (Formulas of Alchemy) uses the inner seed skin burned until black, mixed with Pine resin, applied topically to treat scrofula (Luo Li). Also, walnut meat with skin combined with Beimu (Fritillaria) and Quanxie (Scorpion) in equal numbers, made into honey pills, treats rat-hole phlegm nodules (Shu Lu Tan He), primarily to unblock stagnation. However, those with Phlegm-Heat in the Lungs or blazing Fire in the Mingmen should avoid it. The shell burned to ash while retaining its nature treats Ru Yong (Mastitis). Take two qian of the ash powder, mix with wine, and ingest; if not yet swollen, it dissipates; if already ulcerated, it gradually heals. However, do not use its smoke to fumigate clothes, as this damages the fabric. Green walnut skin applied to facial hair turns it black.
