【枫香脂】
主治：调理气机，活血化瘀，促进肌肉生长，止痛，解毒。适用于吐血、咯血、金属利器造成的创伤、痈疽、疮疥、瘾疹（风团）引起的皮肤瘙痒及浮肿。
【枫香子】
主治：辟除瘴气，明目，舒展经络。适用于水肿、肢体拘挛、全身痹痛。
枫香丸：由枫香脂、白鲜皮、白蒺藜、蛇床子、羚羊角屑各一两，川乌（炮制）、本（细辛）、仙灵脾（淫羊藿）、蔓荆子、莽草、赤箭（天麻）各五钱组成。研成粉末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次饭后服用三十丸。用于治疗难以忍受的风疹瘙痒。
枫子膏：取大枫子仁，在铜锅内炒至三分红、七分黑，研成细膏。加入砂糖，用铜器盛装，在火上熬煮四五次沸腾后，倒在纸上沥干水分，置于地面使其冷却，并用物体覆盖。用细茶送服。用于治疗麻风病。一年内禁止房事和食用食盐，否则无法治愈。同时忌食酱、醋、酒以及一切鸡肉、鱼类等发物动风之物。
【乳香】
主治：活血化瘀，舒筋活络，降气，益精生肌，止痛，托毒外出并保护心脏。适用于霍乱、瘟疫、中风、口噤（牙关紧闭）、风水肿毒、癫狂失眠、瘾疹、耳聋、心腹痛、大肠泄泻、淋证癃闭、尿血、肾气不足、遗精、阴茎肿胀（可与葱白捣烂外敷）。适用于妇女气血病、难产、治疗跌打损伤、痈疽、杖疮。
乳香丸：乳香二十两，苦参（锉碎）四两，好酒四升。将苦参浸泡在瓶中，隔水慢火煎煮一个时辰（约两小时），滤去药渣。再将乳香放入砂锅中煎炼如饴糖状。加入天麻末四两，大麻仁（另研成膏）二两，搅拌均匀，慢火熬制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用二十丸，空腹或晚饭后服用，用大麻仁酒送下。用于治疗麻风病。
又一方：乳香、没药、夏蚕砂、草乌各五钱，五灵脂二钱，木鳖子五枚。研成粉末，用酒煮面糊制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用七丸，用薄荷汤送下。用于治疗头目疼痛、血瘀攻筋、筋脉拘急、身体疼痛。
又一方：乳香、轻粉、砒石各五分，麝香少许。先将乳香研细，与其他药物粉末混合均匀。取一张薄纸，宽度如韭菜叶，将药按在纸上揉搓，制成如黄米大小的药丸。临睡前将药填入患处，至第二天早晨痊愈。用于治疗走马牙疳（急性坏死性牙龈炎）。忌食盐、醋等物。
又一方：乳香、没药（均单独研磨），羌活、五灵脂、独活各三钱，川芎、当归、绿豆粉、交趾桂（肉桂的一种）、白芷、白胶香各五钱。研成粉末，用蜂蜜制成弹子大小的药丸。每次服用一丸，细细咀嚼，用薄荷煎汤送下。用于治疗发背（背部痈疽）、各种疮疽溃烂，疼痛难忍。如果手足肿痛无法起身者，可加川乌，用木瓜盐汤送下。
又一方：乳香五分，沉香、没药各一钱，蝎梢十四枚，鸡心槟榔一钱五分。研成粉末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用二丸，用菖蒲钩藤汤调服。用于治疗小儿惊风内钓（惊风伴有腹部抽缩）、腹痛惊啼。
乳香搜风丸：乳香三斤。（制作方法：用河水添加更换煮四到五次；用川乌十两捣碎煎汁一钵，加入乳香煎煮，直到汁液干涸；再用防风、石菖蒲、荆芥、苍术各四两煎汁一钵，加入乳香煮至汁干；又用石菖蒲四斤煎汁一钵，加入乳香煮干。每制备一斤乳香，配药一斗。）升麻、牛蒡子、胡麻、白鲜皮、连翘、苦参、桑寄生、当归、怀生地、秦艽、枸杞子、槟榔、何首乌各四两，鳖甲一个（重量一两为佳），凌霄花、川芎、大风肉（去油同川乌煎煮）、防己、虎胫骨（炙酥）、陈皮、牛膝、甘菊、紫草、海风藤、木瓜各二两，杜仲、白芷各一两二钱，甘草一两五钱，薏仁六两，芝麻二合。用鲜皂角刺三斤，捣碎清煎去渣，熬成膏。加入前述药物，捣匀制成梧桐子大小的药丸。初次服用一钱五分，三天后增加五分，直至三钱为止。用于治疗血痹痛风及各种风疾。服药二十日后，手指伸展时会有酸麻感，一个月后面容光彩焕发，百日可愈。
乳豆丸：乳香、生肉豆蔻（单独研磨）。用酒浸泡乳香并研成膏，与豆蔻粉末混合制成梧桐子大小的药丸。每次服用五十丸，空腹用米汤送下。用于治疗滑泄不止，其他药物无效的情况。
乳香定痛散：乳香、没药（均去油）各五钱，滑石一两，冰片一钱。用葱汁调和涂抹。用于治疗各种痈疽、伤损、溃烂疼痛。也可加入南星、半夏、蓖麻仁，效果更佳。
又一方：乳香、没药各五钱，川芎、白芷、赤芍、丹皮、生地各七钱五分，炙甘草二钱。研成散剂。每次服用四钱，用醇酒和童便调服。用于治疗跌打损伤导致的筋脉疼痛、大便不通。若大便不通，加大黄（酒制）。
乳香消毒散：乳香、没药、栝蒌各五钱，大黄（煨）、牛蒡子（炒）、银花、牡蛎（盐泥煨）各五两，甘草三两。研成粉末。每次服用五钱，水煎服。疮疡在上部者饭后服，在下部者饭前服。用于治疗恶疮。
乳香散：乳香、没药（均去油）各三钱，自然铜（醋淬七次）、当归各五钱，茴香四钱。研成散剂。每次服用五钱，温酒调服。用于治疗杖疮（受杖刑后的伤痕）。
又一方：乳香、防风、荆芥、川芎、白芷、细辛、本（细辛）、羌活、白菊、石菖蒲、天麻、蔓荆子、瓜蒂、赤小豆、防己、菟丝子、谷精草、自然铜（制）、郁金、当归、石膏、没药、雄黄、蛇蜕（炒焦）、蝉蜕（炒焦）、穿山甲、鸡子蜕（均烧存性）、龙脑、薄荷各五分，麝香、片脑各五厘。研成粉末。每次取少许吹入鼻中。用于治疗内外障眼、攀睛瘀肉、倒睫卷毛、翳膜遮睛等各种眼疾。
又一方：乳香、腻粉各五分，黄柏、龙骨、大黄各三钱，麝香一字。研成粉末。先用苦竹沥清洗疮口，擦干后撒药。用于治疗多年的恶疮。
又一方：乳香、古半两钱（一种古钱币或特定药材代称，此处保留原名）各五分，紫藤香五钱，轻粉、麝香（当门子）各少许。研成粉末。每次取少许，先用甘草汤清洗患处，擦干后敷药，随即用灯草塞住。用于治疗嵌甲。
又一方：乳香一钱。（用荷叶包裹，在炭火上烤至半融化，放在地上另行研磨），肉豆蔻、白姜、炙甘草、草果各一两。细细切碎，用醋和面粉包裹，在热灰中煨至红色，取出去掉面粉，研磨成粉末，加入乳香粉末拌匀。每次服用五分或一钱，用陈米汤调服。用于治疗各种泻痢。
乳香趁痛散：乳香三两，虎胫骨（酒炙黄色）、败龟板（酒炙）各二两，血竭、赤芍、当归、没药、防风、自然铜（醋淬细研）、白附子（泡）、辣桂、白芷、苍耳子（微炒）、骨碎补（炒去毛）各三两，牛膝、天麻、槟榔、五加皮、羌活各一两。研成粉末。每次服用一钱，温酒调服。用于治疗跌打坠落引起的腰痛、香港脚（足部肿痛）。也可加入全蝎。

乳香护心散：乳香一两，绿豆粉四两，朱砂三钱。研成粉末。每次服用二钱，用甘草汤调服。用于治疗痈疽、疔疮、恶疮、喉舌生疮。预先服用以预防毒邪攻心。
乳香膏：乳香、没药、川芎、自然铜各七钱，当归、羌活、独活、牛膝、石膏、刘寄奴、黑牵牛、黄柏皮、破故纸（补骨脂）、白胶香、生地、熟地、赤芍、白芍、紫金皮、黄丹、白芷各五钱，黄蜡一两，清油四两。除去黄丹、胶、香、蜡外，其余药物研成粉末，放入油中煎煮。用柳枝不停搅拌，试膏成熟后，再加入这三味药，再次试膏成熟。用生布过滤干净，装入瓦器，倒入水中，倾入水中后用篦子摊开。用于治疗金疮、杖疮，贴于患处。伤口深者，捻成膏条插入孔中。感觉发热者，加入轻粉、片脑、朴硝，混入膏内贴之。
[Fengxiang Zhi (Liquidambar Resin)]
Indications: Regulates Qi, invigorates blood and resolves stasis, promotes tissue regeneration, alleviates pain, and detoxifies. Applicable to hematemesis (vomiting blood), hemoptysis (coughing up blood), traumatic injuries from metal weapons, carbuncles and sores, skin ulcers and scabies, urticaria (wind wheals) causing severe itching, and edema.
[Fengzi (Liquidambar Fruit)]
Indications: Dispels miasma, brightens the eyes, and relaxes the sinews and collaterals. Applicable to edema, muscle spasms and contractures, and generalized bi-syndrome (painful obstruction syndrome).
Fengxiang Wan (Liquidambar Pill): Composed of Fengxiang Zhi, Baixianpi (Densefruit Barberry Bark), Baijili (Japanese Tribulus Fruit), Shechuangzi (Cnidium Fruit), Lingyangjiao Xie (Antelope Horn Shavings), each 1 liang; Chuanwu (Prepared Aconite Root), Ben (Asarum), Xianlingpi (Epimedium), Manjingzi (Vijaya Fruit), Mangcao (Acorus Rhizome - *Note: historical text may refer to different herb*), Chijian (Gastrodia Rhizome), each 5 qian. Pulverized into powder, formed into pills the size of mulberry seeds with honey. Take 30 pills after meals. Treats unbearable itching due to wind-induced urticaria.
Fengzi Gao (Large Maple Seed Ointment): Take Da Fengzi Ren (Semina Gymnemicae), stir-fry in a copper pot until one-third red and two-thirds black, grind into a fine paste. Add refined sugar, boil in a copper vessel over fire for four or five boils. Pour onto paper to drain excess moisture, place on the ground to cool, and cover. Take with fine tea. Treats leprosy (Lifeng). Abstinence from sexual intercourse and salt is required for one year; violation leads to treatment failure. Also avoid soy sauce, vinegar, alcohol, and all triggering foods such as chicken and fish that generate wind.
[Ruxiang (Frankincense)]
Indications: Invigorates blood and resolves stasis, relaxes sinews, directs Qi downward, benefits essence and promotes tissue regeneration, alleviates pain, expels pus and protects the heart. Applicable to cholera, epidemic febrile diseases, stroke, trismus (lockjaw), wind-water edema and toxicity, mania and insomnia, urticaria, deafness, epigastric and abdominal pain, large intestine diarrhea, stranguria and anuria, hematuria, kidney Qi deficiency, seminal emission, penile swelling (can be mashed with scallion white for external application). Applicable to women's Qi and blood disorders, difficult labor, treating fractures, carbuncles, and corporal punishment wounds.
Ruxiang Wan (Frankincense Pill): Ruxiang 20 liang, Kushen (Sophora Root, crushed) 4 liang, good wine 4 sheng. Soak Kushen in a bottle, decoct slowly over water bath for one fu period (approx. 2 hours), filter out dregs. Return Ruxiang to a clay pot and decoct until it resembles maltose. Add Tianma Powder (Gastrodia Rhizome) 4 liang, Daren (Hemp Seed, ground into paste) 2 liang. Mix well, decoct slowly into pills the size of mulberry seeds. Take 20 pills per dose, on an empty stomach or after evening meal, washed down with Hemp Seed Wine. Treats leprosy.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang, Moyao (Myrrh), Xiacansha (Silkworm Sand), Caowu (Aconite Root), each 5 qian; Wulingzhi (Trogopterus Dung) 2 qian; Mibiezi (Momordica Seed) 5 pieces. Pulverize,煮 with wine and wheat gluten paste to form pills the size of mulberry seeds. Take 7 pills per dose, washed down with Mint Decoction. Treats headache, eye pain, blood stasis attacking sinews, tendon spasm, and body pain.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang, Qingfen (Calomel), Pi Shi (Arsenic Trioxide), each 5 fen; Shexiang (Musk) a small amount. First grind Ruxiang finely, mix with other powders. Place on a thin paper strip width of a leek leaf, press and roll medicine into pills the size of millet grains. Before sleep, insert medicine into the affected area. Cured by morning. Treats gan gangrene (Noma/acute necrotizing gingivitis). Avoid salt and vinegar.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang, Moyao (both ground separately), Qianghuo (Notopterygium Rhizome), Wulingzhi, Du Huo (Angelica Pubescens Root), each 3 qian; Chuanxiong (Sichuan Lovage Rhizome), Danggui (Chinese Angelica Root), Lv Dou Fen (Mung Bean Powder), Jiaozhi Gui (Cinnamon Bark from Cochinchina), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root), Baijiaoxiang (Elemi Resin), each 5 qian. Pulverize, form pills the size of a bullet with honey. Take 1 pill per dose, chew thoroughly, wash down with Mint Decoction. Treats back carbuncle (Fabei), all types of ulcerating carbuncles and sores with unbearable pain. For those unable to rise due to hand/foot swelling and pain, add Chuanwu, wash down with Papaya Salt Decoction.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang 5 fen, Chenxiang (Agarwood), Moyao, each 1 qian; Xieshao (Scorpion Tail) 14 pieces; Jixin Binglang (Betel Nut) 1.5 qian. Pulverize, form pills the size of mulberry seeds with honey. Take 2 pills per dose, adjust with Changpu Gouteng Decoction (Acorus and Uncaria Decoction). Treats pediatric convulsion with internal drawing, abdominal pain, and startled crying.
Ruxiang Soufeng Wan (Frankincense Wind-Expelling Pill): Ruxiang 3 jin. Use 3 jin of fresh Zaoguo Ci (Gleditsia Spine), crush, decoct clearly, filter dregs, boil into paste. Add previous herbs, pound into pills the size of mulberry seeds. Initial dose 1.5 qian, increase by 0.5 qian every three days, up to 3 qian. Treats blood bi-syndrome, gout, and various wind syndromes. After 20 days of服用, fingers may feel sore and numb; within one month, complexion will glow; cured within 100 days.
Rudou Wan (Frankincense and Nutmeg Pill): Ruxiang, Sheng Roudoukou (Raw Nutmeg, ground separately). Soak Ruxiang in wine and grind into paste, mix with Nutmeg powder to form pills the size of mulberry seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, on an empty stomach with Rice Water. Treats persistent slippery diarrhea unresponsive to other medicines.
Ruxiang Dingtong San (Frankincense Pain-Stopping Powder): Ruxiang, Moyao (both defatted), each 5 qian; Huashi (Talcum) 1 liang; Bingpian (Borneol) 1 qian. Mix with Scallion Juice and apply externally. Treats all carbuncles, sores, traumatic injuries, ulceration, and pain. Adding Nanxing (Arisaema), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Bibaren (Castor Seed) is even better.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang, Moyao, each 5 qian; Chuanxiong, Baizhi, Chishao (Red Peony Root), Danpi (Moutan Cortex), Shengdi (Rehmannia Root), each 7.5 qian; Zhi Cao (Prepared Licorice) 2 qian. Pulverize into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, adjust with strong wine and child's urine. Treats pain from sprains and strains, constipation. If constipated, add Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, wine-processed).
Ruxiang Xiaodu San (Frankincense Detoxifying Powder): Ruxiang, Moyao, Gualou (Trichosanthes Fruit), each 5 qian; Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, baked), Niubangzi (Arctium Fruit, fried), Yinhua (Honeysuckle Flower), Muli (Oyster Shell, salt-mud baked), each 5 liang; Gancao 3 liang. Pulverize. Take 5 qian per dose, decoct in water. For sores above the waist, take after meals; for sores below the waist, take before meals. Treats malignant sores.
Ruxiang San (Frankincense Powder): Ruxiang, Moyao (both defatted), each 3 qian; Ziran Tong (Natural Pyrite, quenched in vinegar 7 times), Danggui, each 5 qian; Huixiang (Fennel) 4 qian. Pulverize. Take 5 qian per dose, adjust with warm wine. Treats corporal punishment wounds.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang, Fangfeng, Jingjie, Chuanxiong, Baizhi, Xixin (Asarum), Ben (Asarum), Qianghuo, Baiju (Chrysanthemum), Shichangpu, Tianma, Manjingzi, Guiti (Melon Tip), Chixiaodou (Adzuki Bean), Fangji, Tusizi (Cuscuta Seed), Gujingcao (Euphrasia Herb), Ziran Tong (Processed), Yujin (Curcuma Rhizome), Danggui, Shigao (Gypsum), Moyao, Xionghuang (Realgar), Shetui (Snake Slough, fried until charred), Chantui (Cicada Slough, fried until charred), Chanshanjia (Pangolin Scales), Jizitui (Chicken Eggshell, calcined), Longnao (Borneol), Bohe (Mint), each 5 fen; Shexiang, Pian Nao (Camphor), each 5 li. Pulverize. Blow a small amount into the nose. Treats internal and external eye obstructions, pterygium, inverted eyelashes, cataracts, and all eye diseases.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang, Nifen (Calomel), each 5 fen; Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark), Longgu (Fossil Bones), Dahuang, each 3 qian; Shexiang "Yi Zi" (a small measure). Pulverize. First wash the sore with Ku Zhuli (Bamboo Sap), dry, then sprinkle medicine. Treats chronic malignant sores.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang, Gu Banliang Qian (Ancient Half-Tael Coin - *historical term*), each 5 fen; Ziteng Xiang (Wisteria Fragrance) 5 qian; Qingfen, Shexiang (Dangmenzi), each a small amount. Pulverize. Take a small amount, first wash the affected area with Licorice Decoction, dry, apply medicine, then plug with rush grass. Treats ingrown toenails.
Another Prescription: Ruxiang 1 qian. (Wrap in lotus leaf, roast over charcoal fire until half-melted, place on ground and grind separately). Roudoukou, Baijiang (White Ginger), Zhi Cao (Prepared Licorice), Caoguo (Black Cardamom), each 1 liang. Finely chop, wrap in flour mixed with vinegar, bake in hot ashes until red, remove flour, grind to powder, mix with Ruxiang powder. Take 0.5 or 1 qian per dose, adjust with aged rice water. Treats all types of diarrhea and dysentery.
Ruxiang Chengtong San (Frankincense Pain-Chasing Powder): Ruxiang 3 liang; Hu Jinggu (Roasted with wine), Baiguiban (Tortoise Plastron, roasted with wine), each 2 liang; Xuexue (Dragon's Blood), Chishao, Danggui, Moyao, Fangfeng, Ziran Tong (Quenched in vinegar and finely ground), Baifuzi (Prepared), Lagui (Cinnamon Twig), Baizhi, Cang'erzi (Lightly fried), Gusuibu (Drynattia Rhizome, fried to remove hairs), each 3 liang; Niuxi, Tianma, Binglang, Wujia Pi (Acanthopanax Bark), Qianghuo, each 1 liang. Pulverize. Take 1 qian per dose, adjust with warm wine. Treats lower back pain from falls and Hong Kong foot (gouty arthritis). Can add Quanxie (Scorpion).
Ruxiang Huang [Missing Character] San: Ruxiang, Moyao (both defatted), each 5 qian; Huang [Missing], Danggui (Washed with wine), Chuanxiong, Mahuang (Ephedra), Sheng Caojie (Raw Licorice Joint), Baishao (White Peony Root), Renshen (Ginseng), Yingsuke (Poppy Capsule, de-veined and honey-roasted), Chenpi, each 1 liang. Pulverize. Take 3 qian per dose, decoct in water. Treats all malignant sores, carbuncles, Fabei, Dingzhong (furuncles), traumatic injuries, and bone/tendon pain. For sores above, take after meals; for sores below, take before meals. Unruptured ones will dissipate; ruptured ones will drain.
Ruxiang Zhanluo San (Frankincense Headache-Relieving Powder): Ruxiang 3 qian; Yumi Ke (Poppy Husk, de-stemmed) 4 liang; Chenpi, Zhi Cao, Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Chaihu (Bupleurum Root), each 1 liang. Pulverize. Take 3 qian per dose, add 10 lamp wicks, decoct in water. Treats lateral and frontal headaches.
Ruxiang Huxin San (Frankincense Heart-Protecting Powder): Ruxiang 1 liang, Lv Dou Fen (Mung Bean Powder) 4 liang, Zhusha (Cinnabar) 3 qian. Pulverize. Take 2 qian per dose, adjust with Licorice Decoction. Treats carbuncles, ding sores, malignant sores, and mouth/throat ulcers. Take prophylactically to prevent toxin from attacking the heart.
Ruxiang Gao (Frankincense Ointment): Ruxiang, Moyao, Chuanxiong, Ziran Tong, each 7 qian; Danggui, Qianghuo, Du Huo, Niuxi, Shigao, Liu Ji Nu (Knawel Herb), Heiqianniu (Black Morning Glory Seed), Huangbo Pi (Phellodendron Bark), Poguzhi (Psoralea Fruit), Baijiaoxiang, Shengdi, Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia), Chishao, Baishao, Zijin Pi (Purple Skin Bark), Huangdan (Lead Monoxide), Baizhi, each 5 qian; Huangla (Yellow Beeswax) 1 liang, Qingyou (Clear Oil) 4 liang. Except for Huangdan, Jiao (Glue), Xiang (Resins), La (Wax), grind remaining herbs into powder and fry in oil. Stir constantly with willow branch, test for ointment consistency. When nearly ready, add the three excluded ingredients, test again for consistency. Filter through raw cloth, pour into water-filled earthenware vessel, spread with a comb. Treats traumatic injuries and corporal punishment wounds; apply to affected area. For deep wounds, roll into ointment strips and insert into cavities. For heat sensation, add Qingfen, Pian Nao, Puxiao (Mirabilite) into the ointment and apply.
