《纲目》故木砧条：列举了案板上的碎屑，只说能治疗疮疡、唇部及耳部等疮疡，干霍乱、虫牙等症状。《急救方》说它治疗手部毒肿如神效，因此紧急补充这一条。

治疗血臌（腹部积水伴瘀血之证）：杨春涯验方：使用二三十年前盛米的竹制栲栳一只，击碎后煎汤服用，一两次即可消除。
这是人家用来盛米的竹器，浙江人称为淘箩，用竹丝编织而成，用来淘米。旧的多用来储存柴灰淋水洗衣，年代久了就会腐烂。
截经：《同寿录》记载：妇女行经不止，服用此方可止血；用红花、烂箩底、烂八搭草鞋鼻子、莲房，这四味药都烧成灰并保存药性，共同研成末，每次服用一钱，用黄酒送下，不超过三服，经血立即停止。
Treatment for Herpes Zoster (Snake Coiling): *Jiusheng Kuhai* records: Use the belt of a waist sash, calcine it to preserve its properties, grind into fine powder, mix with good sauce, and apply. Alternatively, mix with *Shui Long Gu* (Fossilized Bones) and persimmon lacquer water for application.
Treatment for Acute Abdominal Pain due to Evil Qi Invasion (*Zhong E*): *Jiusheng Kuhai* records: Burn the scabbard of a knife to ash, take with water.
Treatment for Centipede Bite: *Jiusheng Kuhai* records: Burn the small head, bury in soil, take a small amount, grind into fine powder, and apply to the affected area; immediate recovery follows.
*Bencao Gangmu* entry on Clogs: There is a straw shoe nose under the nose rope of clogs. There is no method to extract the cloth, nor is its efficacy in promoting eruption known. This is now supplemented.
For children suffering from measles that fail to erupt: Take seven or eight strips of cloth rolled over the nose of broken straw shoes, decoct in water, and drink. The effect is immediate and miraculous (from Zhou Baosheng's *Yitong*).
Yang Chunya's Verified Prescription: For White Snake Coiling (White Herpes Zoster). Old material is preferred. Burn to ash preserving its properties, mix with sesame oil, and apply. Red Snake Coiling (Red Herpes Zoster) is also treated.
*Bencao Gangmu* entry on Old Wooden Anvil: Lists shavings from the anvil, stating only their use for treating sores, lip and ear sores, Dry Huoluan, toothache caused by worms, etc. *Jijiu Fang* states they are miraculous for treating toxic swelling of the hand, thus urgently supplemented here.
For toxic swelling involving the palm and the thenar eminence (tiger's mouth): Scrape wood shavings from the pork cutting block until paste-like, form into a cake, and apply to the affected area; cure follows immediately.
Hematemesis (Vomiting Blood): *Cihang Huoren Shu* records: In a cured meat shop, scrape the meat residue/grease from the chopping block, burn over fire until charred but not white, preserve its properties, grind into powder, and take with wine.
Dog Bite: Yang Chunya's Verified Prescription: Scrape the grease/oil residue from the chopping block, mix with rock sugar, and apply externally; miraculous effect.
Rotten Basket Bottom
Treatment for Blood Distension (Abdominal Ascites with Blood Stasis): Yang Chunya's Verified Prescription: Use one bamboo basket (*Kaolao*) used for storing rice for 20-30 years, crush it, decoct in water, and drink. Resolution occurs after one or two doses.
This is a bamboo vessel used by households for storing rice, called "Tao Luo" in Zhejiang, woven from bamboo strips, used for washing rice. Old ones were often used to store wood ash for leaching lye to wash clothes, and rotted over time.
Stopping Menstruation: *Tongshou Lu* states: For women whose menstruation does not stop, taking this can arrest it; Use *Hong Hua* (Safflower), Rotten Basket Bottom, Rotten Bada Straw Shoe Nose, and Lotus Pod (*Lian Fang*). These four ingredients are all burned to ash preserving their properties, ground together into powder. Take one qian per dose, delivered with yellow wine. Within three doses, the bleeding stops immediately.
