At Zi hour (11 PM - 1 AM), select Yangfu (GB-38) of the Gallbladder Meridian. At Yin hour (3-5 AM), select Xiaohai (SI-8) of the Small Intestine Meridian peacefully. At Xu-Chen hours (note: text implies specific flow), Qi is received into the Sanjiao Meridian; pierce Zhigou (TE-6), and it will surely heal; this is the Jing-Fire point.
On the Ji (Yin Earth) day, at Si hour (9-11 AM), start with Yinbai (SP-1) of the Spleen Meridian. At Wei hour (1-3 PM), select Yuji (LU-10). At You hour (5-7 PM), select Taixi (KI-3); note the mention of Taibai (SP-3) in context of Yuan points. At Hai hour (9-11 PM), select Zhongfeng (LR-4) located by the medial malleolus. At Chou hour (1-3 AM), select Shaohai (HT-3) of the Heart Meridian. At Mao hour (5-7 AM), select Jianshi (PC-5) of the Pericardium Meridian to stop.
On the Geng (Yang Metal) day, at Chen hour (7-9 AM), Shangyang (LI-1) is located. At Wu hour (11 AM - 1 PM), Tonggu (BL-64) of the Bladder Meridian connects. At Shen hour (3-5 PM), Linqi (GB-41) is the Shu-Stream point belonging to Water; Hegu (LI-4), the Metal Yuan-Source point, returns to the root. At Xu hour (7-9 PM), Yanggu (SI-5) of the Small Intestine Meridian belongs to Fire. At Zi hour (11 PM - 1 AM), Sanli (ST-36) of the Stomach Meridian is suitable. At Yin hour (3-5 AM), Qi is received into the Sanjiao Meridian's He-Sea point Tianjing (TE-10); there is no doubt.

At Wu hour (11 AM - 1 PM), Houxi (SI-3) of the Small Intestine Meridian is the Shu-Stream point returning to Jinggu (BL-64) as the root and origin. Seeking the Sanjiao Meridian, it resides at Yangchi (TE-4); returning to the root and origin seems intimate. At Xu-Shen hours, Jie Xi (ST-41) of the Stomach Meridian is annotated; Daxue (LI-11) of the Large Intestine Meridian at Geng-Xu hour is true. At Zi hour (11 PM - 1 AM), Qi is received into the Sanjiao Meridian's Jing-Well point Guanzhong (TE-1). A piece of gold. Guanzhong belongs to Metal, Ren belongs to Water; Mother and Son generate each other, the bond is deep.
On the Gui (Yin Water) day, at Hai hour (9-11 PM), the Jing-Well point Yongquan (KI-1). At Chou hour (1-3 AM), Xingjian (LR-2) is certain. At Mao hour (5-7 AM), the Shu-Stream point Shenmen (HT-7) is sought as the root; Kidney Water's Yuan-Source point Taixi (KI-3), Pericardium's Yuan-Source point Daling (PC-7) pass through. At Si hour (9-11 AM), Shangqiu (SP-5) is by the medial malleolus. At Wei hour (1-3 PM), the Lung Meridian combines at Chize (LU-5). At You hour (5-7 PM), Zhongchong (PC-9) connects with the Pericardium.
The method of Ziwu Liuzhu (Midnight-Noon Ebb-Flow) is difficult to verify completely. Although recorded in the "Four Books of Acupuncture," it remains incomplete; the principles of returning to the root and origin, and the points where Qi and Blood are received, are hidden and not fully detailed. I have now compiled the time-based point selection for Liuzhu into ten songs to make it easy for later students to memorize, so that when used, no deliberation is needed. Moreover, the subsequent diagrams were added by sages past, so I dare not discard them. They are included here for reference. The original twelve diagrams are now divided and fixed into ten.
