（汤、仲景）五般奇，甘草硝黄并桂枝。〔桃仁五十枚（去皮尖研），大黄四两，芒硝、
桂枝、甘草各二两。硝、黄、甘草，调胃承气汤也。热甚搏血，故加桃仁润燥缓肝，表证未
除，故加桂枝调经解表。〕热结膀胱小腹胀，如狂蓄血最相宜。（小腹胀而小便自利，
知为血蓄下焦，蓄血发热故如狂。）
（汤）芍药丹，（生地半两，白芍一两，丹皮、犀角二钱半。每服五钱。）血升胃热火邪
干。斑黄阳毒皆堪治，（犀角大寒，解胃热而清心火；芍药酸寒，和阴血而散肝火；丹皮苦
寒，泻血中之伏火；生地大寒，凉血而滋水，以期平诸经之僭逆也。）或益柴芩总伐肝。（因
怒致血者，加柴胡、黄芩。）
（丹溪）中诃子收，栝蒌海石山栀投。青黛蜜丸口噙化，咳嗽痰血服之瘳。〔诃子（煨
取肉）、栝蒌仁（去油）、海石（去砂）、栀子（炒黑）、青黛（水飞）等分，蜜丸，嗽甚加杏
仁。青黛清肝泻火，栀子清肺凉心，栝蒌润燥滑痰，海石软坚止嗽，诃子敛肺定喘。不用血
药者，火退而自止也。〕
归尾桃仁枳实攒。地榆泽泻皂角子，糊丸血痔便艰难。（大肠燥结故便难。）秦艽、白术、
归尾（酒洗）、桃仁（研）、地榆各一两，枳实（麸炒）、泽泻、皂角子（烧存性）各五钱，
糊丸。归尾、桃仁以活血，秦艽、皂子以润燥，枳实泄胃热，泽泻泻湿邪，地榆以破血止血，
白术以燥湿益气。仍有苍术防风剂，润血疏风燥湿安。（本方除白术、当归、地榆，加苍术、
防风、大黄、黄柏、槟榔，名秦艽苍术汤。除枳实、皂角、地榆，加防风、升麻、柴胡、陈
皮、炙甘草、黄柏、大黄、红花，名秦艽除风汤，治并同。）
（桃核承气汤）由五味药组成，分别是甘草、芒硝、大黄和桂枝。〔桃仁五十枚（去皮尖后研碎），大黄四两，芒硝、桂枝、甘草各二两。其中芒硝、大黄、甘草组成了调胃承气汤。因为热邪炽盛与血相搏，所以加入桃仁以润燥并缓和肝急；表证尚未解除，所以加入桂枝以调和经脉并解表。〕此方适用于热邪结聚于膀胱导致的小腹胀满，对于如狂状的蓄血证最为适宜。（小腹胀满且小便自利，可知是瘀血蓄积在下焦，因蓄血发热故出现如狂的症状。）
（芍药丹）由芍药、生地黄、牡丹皮、犀角组成。〔生地黄半两，白芍一两，牡丹皮、犀角各二钱半。每次服用五钱。〕此方用于治疗血随火升、胃中有热、火邪干扰的病症。斑疹发黄、阳毒等症均可治疗。〔犀角大寒，能清解胃热并清心火；白芍酸寒，能调和阴血并疏散肝火；牡丹皮苦寒，能泻除血中潜伏之火；生地黄大寒，能凉血并滋养肾水，以期平抑各条经络的亢逆之气。〕若因愤怒导致出血者，可加入柴胡、黄芩以总括性地清泻肝火。
（诃子散）由诃子收敛肺气，配合瓜蒌、海浮石、山栀投用。〔诃子（煨后取肉）、瓜蒌仁（去油）、海浮石（去砂）、栀子（炒黑）、青黛（水飞）等量，制成蜜丸，咳嗽剧烈时加杏仁。青黛清肝泻火，栀子清肺凉心，瓜蒌润燥滑痰，海浮石软坚止嗽，诃子敛肺定喘。不使用止血药的原因在于，火邪退去则出血自止。〕将药物制成青黛蜜丸含化，服用后可治愈咳嗽伴痰血的病症。
〔当归尾、桃仁、枳实聚集在一起。〕加上地榆、泽泻、皂角子，制成糊丸，用于治疗血痔及大便困难。〔大肠干燥结滞故导致大便困难。〕秦艽、白术、当归尾（酒洗）、桃仁（研碎）、地榆各一两，枳实（麸炒）、泽泻、皂角子（烧至存性）各五钱，制成糊丸。当归尾、桃仁用以活血，秦艽、皂角子用以润燥，枳实泄除胃热，泽泻泻除湿邪，地榆用以破血止血，白术用以燥湿益气。此外还有苍术防风剂，通过润血、疏风、燥湿使身体安宁。〔本方除去白术、当归、地榆，加入苍术、防风、大黄、黄柏、槟榔，名为秦艽苍术汤。除去枳实、皂角、地榆，加入防风、升麻、柴胡、陈皮、炙甘草、黄柏、大黄、红花，名为秦艽除风汤，两者的主治功效相同。〕
(Tao Ren Cheng Qi Tang) Consists of five ingredients: Licorice Root (Gancao), Mirabilite (Mangxiao), Rhubarb (Dahuang), and Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi). [Peach Kernel (Tao Ren) 50 seeds (skin and tip removed, ground), Rhubarb (Dahuang) 4 liang, Mirabilite (Mangxiao), Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi), and Licorice Root (Gancao) each 2 liang. Mirabilite, Rhubarb, and Licorice Root constitute the Tiaowei Chengqi Decoction (Stomach-Regulating Purging Decoction). Since intense heat combats with blood, Peach Kernel is added to moisten dryness and soothe the Liver; since the exterior syndrome has not been resolved, Cinnamon Twig is added to harmonize the meridians and release the exterior.] This formula is indicated for fullness and distension in the lower abdomen caused by heat accumulation in the Bladder, and is most suitable for manic-like symptoms due to Blood Stasis retention. (Lower abdominal distension with normal urination indicates Blood Stasis retained in the Lower Jiao; fever due to retained blood causes manic-like behavior.)
(Shaoyao Dan) Consists of Peony Root (Shaoyao), Rehmannia Root (Shengdihuang), Moutan Cortex (Danpi), and Rhino Horn (Xijiao). [Rehmannia Root (Shengdihuang) 0.5 liang, White Peony Root (Baishao) 1 liang, Moutan Cortex (Danpi) and Rhino Horn (Xijiao) each 0.25 liang. Take 5 qian per dose.] It treats conditions where blood rises due to stomach heat and fire pathogen interference. It is effective for macules, jaundice, and Yang Toxicity. [Rhino Horn is very cold, clearing stomach heat and heart fire; White Peony is sour and cold, harmonizing yin-blood and dispersing liver fire; Moutan Cortex is bitter and cold, draining latent fire from the blood; Rehmannia Root is very cold, cooling blood and nourishing kidney water, aiming to calm hyperactivity in all meridians.] If bleeding is caused by anger, add Bupleurum Root (Chaihu) and Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) to comprehensively drain liver fire.
(Hezi San) Uses Chebula Fruit (Hezi) to astringe, combined with Trichosanthes Fruit (Gualou), Pumex (Haishi), and Gardenia Fruit (Zhizi). [Chebula Fruit (Hezi) (roasted for flesh), Trichosanthes Seed (Gualouren) (oil removed), Pumex (Haishi) (sand removed), Gardenia Fruit (Zhizi) (charred black), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai) (water-floated) in equal parts, made into honey pills, swallow slowly in the mouth. Add Apricot Seed (Xiren) if cough is severe. Indigo Naturalis clears liver and drains fire; Gardenia clears lungs and cools heart; Trichosanthes moistens dryness and lubricates phlegm; Pumex softens hardness and stops cough; Chebula astringes lungs and stabilizes panting. Hemostatic herbs are not used because once fire recedes, bleeding stops on its own.] Made into Indigo Naturalis honey pills to be held in the mouth and dissolved, it cures cough with hemoptysis.
[Angelica Sinensis Tail (Guiwei), Peach Kernel (Tao Ren), and Immature Bitter Orange (Zhishi) gather together.] Add Sanguisorba Root (Diyu), Alisma Rhizome (Zexie), and Gleditsia Sinensis Thorn (Zaojiaozhi), made into paste pills, to treat bloody hemorrhoids and difficult defecation. [Dryness and constipation in the Large Intestine cause difficult defecation.] Qinjiao (Gentian Root), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu), Angelica Sinensis Tail (Guiwei) (wine-washed), Peach Kernel (Tao Ren) (ground), and Sanguisorba Root (Diyu) each 1 liang; Immature Bitter Orange (Zhishi) (bran-stir-fried), Alisma Rhizome (Zexie), and Gleditsia Sinensis Thorn (Zaojiaozhi) (burned to retain nature) each 5 qian, made into paste pills. Angelica Sinensis Tail and Peach Kernel invigorate blood; Qinjiao and Gleditsia Thorn moisten dryness; Immature Bitter Orange drains stomach heat; Alisma Rhizome drains dampness; Sanguiorba Root breaks stasis and stops bleeding; Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome dries dampness and boosts qi. There is also a Cangzhu Fangfeng preparation that moistens blood, dispels wind, and dries dampness for peace. [This base formula removes Baizhu, Guiwei, and Diyu, adding Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu), Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng), Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang), Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai), and Areca Seed (Binglang), named Qinjiao Cangzhu Decoction. Removing Zhishi, Zaojiaozhi, and Diyu, adding Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng), Cimicifuga Rhizome (Shengma), Bupleurum Root (Chaihu), Citrus Reticulata Pericarpium (Chenpi), Glycyrrhiza Preparata (Zhi Gancao), Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai), Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang), and Carthamus Flower (Honghua), named Qinjiao Chufeng Decoction; both have identical indications.]
