(Jin Gui Yao Lue) first contains Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction), then add Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Aye (Mugwort Leaf), and Gancao (Licorice Root) to complete it. (Ejiao, Chuanxiong Rhizoma, and Gancao are each two liang; Aye and Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis are each three liang; Shaoyao Radix Paeoniae Alba and Dihuang Radix Rehmanniae Preparata are each four liang. Decoct with wine and water, melt Ejiao separately, and take the solution. Siwu Tang nourishes blood, Ejiao tonifies Yin, Aye tonifies Yang, Gancao harmonizes the Stomach, and adding wine promotes the flow of meridians.) The Liuren Liangfang (Good Prescriptions for Women) uses single Ejiao, (also named Jiao'ai Tang.) It cures fetal restlessness, bleeding leakage, and abdominal pain. Adding Xiangfu Cyperi Rhizoma to Jiao'ai Siwu Tang, (Xiangfu is soaked in child's urine, salt water, wine, and vinegar for three days each, then stir-fried.) Named Fubao Dan (Women's Treasure Pill), it specializes in regulating menstruation.
(Jin Gui Yao Lue) benefits pregnant women, using Baizhu Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Shaoyao, Chuanxiong, Danggui, and Ziqin (Scutellaria Root). It is suitable for regular use to calm the fetus and nourish blood, with profound efficacy for both postpartum and antenatal periods. (Pregnant women should take this decoction warm; it facilitates easy delivery at term and prevents various diseases. Danggui, Chuanxiong, Shaoyao, and Huangqin Scutellariae Radix are each one jin, Baizhu half a jin. Grind into powder and take mixed with wine. Zhu Danxi said: Huangqin and Baizhu are the sacred medicines for calming the fetus. Pregnancy requires clearing heat and cooling blood; if blood does not move recklessly, the fetus remains stable. Huangqin nourishes Yin and retreats Yang, eliminating Stomach heat; Baizhu tonifies Spleen Qi and also eliminates Stomach heat. When the Spleen and Stomach are healthy, they can transform nutrients into blood to nourish the fetus, naturally avoiding risks of miscarriage, fetal restlessness, and bleeding leakage.)

Decoct together with wine and child's urine. Shudihuang, Danggui, and Shaoyao moisten and nourish blood; Puhuang and Heidou slide and promote blood flow; Heijiang (Black Ginger) and Guizhi provide heat to move blood; Gancao slows and moderates; Tongbian disperses and moves...)
