Poeqiancao (Lysimachia christinae), also known as Qianliguang (Senecio scandens) and Qianguangcao. It tastes pungent and bitter, and is warm in nature. Its main indications are inducing sweating (releasing the exterior through perspiration), dispersing wind-caused headaches of various types, improving vision, eliminating corneal opacities (nebula), promoting urination, and treating jaundice.
[Formula] Qianliguang (30 g) Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix, 2 g) Muzei (Equiseti Herba, 15 g) Gujingcao (Sparganii Rhizoma, 15 g) Danshen (Gentianae Radix, 9 g) Chantui (Cicadae Periostracum, 15 g) Caojueming (Haliotidis Concha, 15 g) Jingjiesui (Schizonepetae Spica, 9 g) Baijili (Tribuli Fructus, 15 g) Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 15 g) Qianhu (Peucedani Radix, 15 g) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 15 g) Qingui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 15 g) Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus, 15 g) Baijuhua (Chrysanthemi Flos, 30 g) Manjingzi (Vitalbae Fructus), dehusked, soaked in urine of a healthy young boy for three days, changing the urine daily, then dried by baking.
For each dose, take one liang (approx. 30-50 g depending on era/region, here likely referring to total herb weight or specific ratio context, translated as "one unit") of the mixed herbs, add one liang of Manjingzi. Take two qian (approx. 6-7.5 g) per serving, washed down with boiling water.

Gaoben (Ligusticum sinense), tastes bitter and pungent, warm in nature. Its action is ascending. It treats conditions where cold pathogenic factors invade the Taiyang Meridian (the meridian governing the exterior and back), and wind-cold pathogens flow to the vertex of the head. It treats headache due to wind, stops various types of headaches, and improves vision.
[Formula] Gaoben (3 g) Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 1 g) Baijuhua (Chrysanthemi Flos, 3 g) Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 3 g) Faxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum, 1.5 g) Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 3 g) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 1.5 g) Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 1.5 g). Use one slice of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) as an adjunctive ingredient. Decoct in water and take orally.
Shuixiancai (Oenanthe javanica), tastes pungent and slightly bitter, cool in nature. It can induce sweating, with effects similar to Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba). It treats leukorrhea in women, but may damage the eyes if misused.
(Attached Formula) For treating prolonged fever in children lasting over a month without subsiding, this formula yields excellent results.

Tougucacao (Phytolacca acinosa), tastes pungent, aromatic, and spicy, warm in nature. It has slight toxicity. Its seeds are used to treat bone and joint pain caused by phlegm-fire; soaking them in wine is effective. Its roots and stems are used to wash Wind-Cold-Dampness Bi Syndrome (painful obstruction syndrome caused by wind, cold, and dampness pathogens) and bone/joint pain. It warms the tendons and penetrates the bones; decoct it for washing the affected area.
