一二次。针去血。吹秘数次。将平则烙三四下除根。再吹秘以解火气。乃灸喉下。初起一穴。
久者三穴。深甚灸五穴。灸口内出烟为妙。如不出烟。九壮为止。先服十八味加减。入大
黄三钱。行痰泻火。年大者服酒药二三十行。兼服二陈四七等汤二三十剂。大抵开郁化痰。
顺气利膈泄肺为主。若头大而无血。谓之焦头。若针不入。与甸气垂下不见形迹。俱不治。
后心痛。当用火灸。甸气用刀割。梅核用针。如灸稍好。喉中干燥。要灸气血三里穴七壮。
足三里。在膝眼下三寸。胫骨外。大筋宛中。举足取之。

单乳蛾：
此症因风热劳郁而起。若边侧痰涎壅塞严重，手足冰冷，头昏沉者，用玄明粉醋制取痰，吹入患处去血。吹入秘制药物内服十八味药，或三黄汤。若经过五六天，服用千金内托散。鼻吹通关散，脓液自然流出。灸合谷穴。用均秘生肌散。如果肿胀严重导致神志不清、生命垂危，用吴茱萸米醋调敷涌泉穴。

Take more than ten pieces of Zike (the fruit cluster of *Broussonetia papyrifera*). Burn them on a tile until they turn to ash but retain their medicinal properties. Apply to the affected area three or four times, and it will heal. Alternatively, use the root of *Achyranthes bidentata* (Niuxi), crush it to extract juice, and hold it in the mouth; this is also excellent. Single Tonsillitis (Dan Ruo):
This condition arises from wind-heat and labor/stagnation. If phlegm-saliva obstruction on the side is severe, accompanied by cold hands and feet and heavy dizziness, use Xuanmingfen (refined Mirabilite) processed with vinegar to extract phlegm, blow it into the lesion to remove blood. Blow in the secret medicine and take Shiba Wei (Eighteen Ingredients) or Sanhuang Tang (Three Yellow Decoction). If five or six days have passed, take Qianjin Neituo San (Qianjin Internal Support Powder). Blow Tongguan San (Pass Through Obstruction Powder) into the nose, and pus will discharge naturally. Moxibustion at Hegu (LI4) acupoint. Use Junmi Shengji (Generate Flesh) powder. If swelling is severe causing unconsciousness and critical life threat, apply Wuzhuyu (Evodia Fruit) mixed with rice vinegar to Yongquan (KI1) acupoint.
Single tonsillitis is due to labor, stagnation, wind, and heat. Swelling blocks the throat like a breast shape. Head and eyes are dizzy, hands and feet are cold. Induce vomiting for wind-phlegm, blow the local herb, and prick for bleeding. The eighteen divine agents can dissipate toxicity. For pus formation, use internal support with Qianjin Powder. When pus matures, fear needling; blow Tongguan San into the nose, and pus flows out naturally.

This condition arises from consuming roasted, fried, strong-flavored foods and rich wine, causing stomach fire to rush upward. It arises next to a carbuncle. Also use powder from child's teeth and Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis), mix and blow in; this is best.
Accumulated heat throat carbuncle is due to strong flavors. Swelling and pain next to the carbuncle resemble tonsillitis. Blow the local herb to remove blood, then blow the secret medicine. Scholar Sanhuang discusses in detail. On the seventh day when pus forms, take Neituo San. Blow Tongguan San into the nose to avoid knife needles. Secret combined Shengji is used to close wounds. Dead Tonsillitis (Si Ruo):
This condition arises from wind-heat, depression, and anger. The throat feels tight, a carbuncle forms near the uvula, not very painful. Eating and drinking are hindered. If mental labor occurs, without dietary restrictions or avoiding wind, if not treated daily, it grows to block the throat, gradually adding air suffocation, leading to death. The practitioner uses a knife to pierce horizontally, making the incision large enough. Wait until blood stops, insert white medicine into the incision to rot the tissue. Perform knife work and medication once daily. Blow the local herb and secret medicine to protect. Continue daily like this until rotted away, then cauterize until flat. Take Liangge San (Cool the Chest Powder) and Ganjie Tang (Licorice and Platycodon Decoction) for more than ten doses. Avoid fried chicken, fish, tofu, beef, and dog meat, which generate wind and heat. Preferably take water-based medicines to draw out toxicity.
Dead tonsillitis rises from depression and anger in the throat. Not... not painful but blocks the throat. Daily growth increases, blocking breath. Damaging the body and causing death is most ominous. This condition arises from qi anger and stagnation not extending. A nipple-like protrusion forms on the throat edge. On cloudy days, mental labor and anger cause the neck externally to feel like being strangled by a rope. Cannot eat or drink, breathing is difficult. After many years, a yellow or white skin strip grows under the tonsil into the throat bottom. The practitioner blows the local herb. Use a hook to catch the skin strip, cut it off carefully until invisible. If not completely cut, take Jiegeng Erchen Tang (Platycodon and Two-Chen Decoction), eliminate it, then cauterize. Avoid green vegetables. If the wound does not close, blow Shengji powder added with Bingpian (Borneol) and Shexiang (Musk). At the beginning, before skin like tender bone appears, blow the local herb, prick the tonsil, blow the secret medicine, take the same dosage as before. Or if prolonged, yellow skin like tender bone grows long into the throat, reaching the point where medication cannot treat it.

Throat Ulcer (Hougan) Diagram:
This condition arises from wind-heat or consuming roasted/fried food poisoning. Old people are hard to cure, young people recover easily. First, take two cups of Baiwu Houzhi (White Wuhou Juice), three qian seven fen of Nianganmo (Old Year Dry Powder), gargle to draw out toxicity. Spit out shortly after, do not swallow. Hold in mouth to stop pain. Next, use the secret medicine, add Bingpian (Borneol), Shexiang (Musk), Zhufen (Pearl Powder), and Yamo (Tooth Powder), mix and blow in. Take Xueshi Tang. Add Dahuang (Rhubarb) three qian for two doses. For robust individuals, take Tufuling (Smilax Glabra) twelve to thirteen doses. Gargle with the previous medicine frequently; if color turns red, it is treatable, otherwise not. Or take Sanhuang Tang for three doses. If there is a rotten hole, blow Shengji powder. After pain stops, fumigate with Ziyun smoke. Gargle with Gancao Tang (Licorice Decoction) to detoxify. Avoid raw mutton and fried foods.
Throat ulcer heat toxin transmits through heart and intestines. Pitifully smelly and rotten unbearable to smell. Hold Niangan plus Houzhi. Secret added with pearl and borneol blown frequently. Blooming Carbuncle Diagram:
This condition arises from summer sweat dripping into tofu eaten, eating foul self-dead poultry/beast meat, or eating rice grains with hair grown in water jars for a long time. Or arises from anger. Shape resembles flower carbuncle. Red color is easy to treat, black is difficult. Apply Zhuifeng San (Wind-Chasing Powder) several times; if turning red, it is treatable. If large and hard, hook and cauterize. Blow the local herb to stop pain. Blow the secret medicine and take Qianjin Neituo San. Then blow Shengji and Liangge San, or Ganjie Tang for two doses. If less severe, only pick out red veins. Apply the local herb, it disappears itself.
Blooming carbuncle arises from anger. Shape like blooming flower taking long name. Blow local herb, use knife to cut flat. Secret apply and cauterize, disease formless. Sanhuang and Liangge initially suitable. Qianjin Neituo treats pus formation. If toxin attacks internally frequent panting, carbuncle shape black, life hard to save.
Throat Ding (Carbuncle) Diagram:

Throat ding arises from eating toxic foul matter. Grows in throat like jujube pit shape. Red easy, purple difficult, black untreatable. First use Zhuifeng to change color and generate. Use knife to cut, blow local herb and secret medicine. Cauterizing can teach disease to be eradicated. Sanhuang and Liangge add Yincacao (Silver Grass). With pus, internal support use Qianjin.
Throat Dan Diagram:
This condition arises from eating fried hot foods and receiving qi disturbance. Throat interior slightly swollen and red. At onset, blow Zhuifeng San to extract phlegm. Blow the local herb on the lesion. Prick head and tail for bleeding. Blow the secret medicine. Take Sanhuang Liangge San. If pus forms after a long time, blow the local herb to pierce. Secret add Shengji powder to blow. Take Qianjin Neituo San. If pus does not dry, blow local herb and Zhuifeng, then heals. Another symptom shape like dog urine, cut with knife to remove blood. Knife mark closes immediately. Knife cut should be long. Blow secret medicine, can heal.

This condition arises from qi stagnation with phlegm. Two red strips on both sides in the throat are Dianqi. Purple-red spots bean-sized under the uvula named Meihe (Plum Core). If no core under the carbuncle, definitely under the front tongue root, either left or right, middle must have green vein tied... Or white like clam meat, resembling peach gum. Red veins hang down on both sides. Long term leads to front chest and back pain, belching, throat feeling like insects moving, bone obstruction choking food resistance, or touching causes pain. Treat one or two times, needle to remove blood, blow secret medicine several times. When flattening, cauterize three or four times to eradicate root. Then blow secret medicine to resolve fire qi. Then moxibustion below throat. Initial one acupoint, long-term three acupoints, deep five acupoints. Moxibustion smoke coming out inside mouth is wonderful. If no smoke, nine moxa cones stop. First take Shiba Wei modified, add Dahuang three qian, move phlegm and drain fire. Chuanxiong, Jiegeng, Zhanzi (Plantago Seed), Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica), Huafen, Huangqin (Scutellaria), Gancao, Yuan Shen, Fangfeng, Shanzhi, Zhike, Wuyao (Lindera), Chenpi.
Use one connected-root scallion, one bundle of Dengxin (Juncus), two cups of water, decoct to七分 (70%), take after meal. If stabbing pain between heart and lungs, use Danggui Lianqiao San (Angelica Forsythia Powder). Added toxin sinking can harm life.
