【肺虚劳伤之症】呼吸少气，喘咳气逆，胸胁作痛，痛引肩背缺盆，面目浮肿，夜卧
不能转侧，此肺经劳伤之症也。
【肺虚劳伤之因】悲哀动中，形寒饮冷，形燠饮热，预事而忧，五志之火，时起于中
，上炎刑金，则咳嗽喘逆，而肺虚劳伤之症作矣。
【肺虚劳伤之脉】右寸浮大，肺气伤损；右寸脉细，肺气不足；寸关皆细，土不生金
【肺虚劳伤之治】肺气伤损者，人参平肺散；肺气不足者，生脉散、人参固本丸；土
，四君子汤、补中益气汤；肺被火刑者，泻白散，加各经清火之药；女科，黄芩泻白散。

【肾虚劳伤之症】遗精白浊，腰脊如折，面黑遗尿，骨蒸咳逆，此肾经虚劳之症也。

【肾虚劳伤之脉】两尺细数，真阴不足；两尺数大，肾中有火；两尺沉迟，真阳不足
【肾虚劳伤之治】真阴不足者，人参固本丸、家秘肝肾丸；肾中火旺者，知柏天地煎

【精虚劳伤之症】大骨枯槁，大肉陷下，尻以代踵，脊以代头，或骨蒸潮热，大小便
牵引作痛，此精虚劳伤之症作矣。
【精虚劳伤之因】精神素亏，或色欲过度，或尽力劳动，或焦心劳思，厥阳之火，时
动于中，煎熬真阴，则阴火刑金，为喘为咳，而精虚劳伤之症作矣。
【精虚劳伤之脉】沉细而数，左脉细数，肝肾精虚；右脉细数，肺脾液少；细而未数
，精亏未竭；细而兼数，阴精已竭。
【精虚劳伤之治】肝肾精虚，三才汤、家秘肝肾丸、龟鹿二仙胶为丸。脾肺精虚，生
脉散、琼玉膏、参苓河车丸。心阴不足者，天王补心丹。

河车一具，酒煮烂收干，打白茯苓五六两为丸，加人参更妙。

【肺虚劳伤的症状】呼吸短促少气，气喘咳嗽气机上逆，胸胁部位疼痛，疼痛牵引至肩背及缺盆穴，面目浮肿，夜间卧床不能翻身侧卧，这是肺经劳伤的症状。
【肺虚劳伤的病因】悲哀情绪触动内脏，身体受寒或饮用冷物，身体过热时饮用热物，预先担忧尚未发生之事，五志（喜、怒、忧、思、恐）之火，时常从体内升起，向上燃烧灼伤肺金，导致咳嗽气喘气逆，于是肺虚劳伤的症状就发作了。
【肺虚劳伤的脉象】右寸脉浮大，表示肺气受损；右寸脉细，表示肺气不足；寸脉和关脉都细，表示脾土不生肺金。
【肺虚劳伤的治疗】肺气受损者，用人参平肺散；肺气不足者，用生脉散、人参固本丸；脾土虚弱（土不生金）者，用四君子汤、补中益气汤；肺被火邪刑克者，用泻白散，并加入各经络清火的药物；妇科方面，用黄芩泻白散。

【肾虚劳伤的症状】遗精、白浊，腰脊疼痛如折断一般，面色发黑、遗尿，骨蒸潮热、咳逆，这是肾经虚劳的症状。
【肾虚劳伤的脉象】两尺脉细数，表示真阴不足；两尺脉数大，表示肾中有火；两尺脉沉迟，表示真阳不足。
【肾虚劳伤的治疗】真阴不足者，用人参固本丸、家秘肝肾丸；肾中火旺者，用知柏天地煎；真阳不足者，用《金匮》肾气丸。

【精虚劳伤的病因】精神素来亏虚，或者房事过度，或者尽力劳动，或者忧心劳思，厥阳之火，时常在体内发动，煎熬真阴，导致阴火刑克肺金，出现喘息咳嗽，于是精虚劳伤的症状就发作了。
【精虚劳伤的脉象】脉沉细而数，左脉细数，表示肝肾精虚；右脉细数，表示肺脾液少；脉细但未数，表示精亏未竭；脉细且兼数，表示阴精已竭。
【精虚劳伤的治疗】肝肾精虚，用三才汤、家秘肝肾丸、龟鹿二仙胶制成丸药。脾肺精虚，用生脉散、琼玉膏、参苓河车丸。心阴不足者，用天王补心丹。

紫河车一具，酒煮烂后收干，捣碎与白茯苓五六两混合为丸，加入人参效果更好。

[Symptoms of Lung Deficiency and Consumption Injury] Shortness of breath with little qi, wheezing, coughing, and rebellious qi; pain in the chest and hypochondrium, radiating to the shoulder, back, and Quepen (Dazhui, GV14) area; edema of the face and eyes; inability to turn over or change position while lying down at night. These are symptoms of consumption injury affecting the Lung Meridian.
[Etiology of Lung Deficiency and Consumption Injury] Sorrow and grief disturbing the interior, external cold exposure combined with drinking cold beverages, internal heat combined with drinking hot beverages, excessive worry about future events, and the fire of the Five Emotions (Joy, Anger, Worry, Thought, Fear) arising from within and flaming upward to scorch Metal (Lung), leading to coughing, wheezing, and rebellious qi, thereby causing symptoms of lung deficiency and consumption injury.
[Pulse Signs of Lung Deficiency and Consumption Injury] A floating and large pulse at the Right Cun position indicates damage to Lung Qi; a fine pulse at the Right Cun position indicates insufficiency of Lung Qi; fine pulses at both the Cun and Guan positions indicate that Earth (Spleen) fails to generate Metal (Lung).
[Treatment of Lung Deficiency and Consumption Injury] For damaged Lung Qi, use Renshen Pingfei San (Ginseng Powder to Calm the Lungs); for insufficient Lung Qi, use Shengmai San (Generate the Pulse Powder) and Renshen Guben Wan (Ginseng Pill to Solidify the Root); for deficient Earth failing to generate Metal, use Sijunzi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction) and Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Decoction to Supplement the Middle and Augment the Qi); for Lung scorched by Fire, use Xiebai San (Drain White Powder) added with herbs that clear fire from the respective meridians; in gynecological cases, use Huangqin Xiebai San (Scutellaria Drain White Powder).

[Symptoms of Kidney Deficiency and Consumption Injury] Spermatorrhea and leukorrhea (white turbidity), waist and spine pain as if broken, dark complexion, urinary incontinence, bone-steaming fever, and rebellious coughing. These are symptoms of deficiency consumption affecting the Kidney Meridian.
[Pulse Signs of Kidney Deficiency and Consumption Injury] Fine and rapid pulses at both Chi positions indicate insufficiency of True Yin; rapid and large pulses at both Chi positions indicate Fire in the Kidney; deep and slow pulses at both Chi positions indicate insufficiency of True Yang.
[Treatment of Kidney Deficiency and Consumption Injury] For insufficiency of True Yin, use Renshen Guben Wan (Ginseng Pill to Solidify the Root) and Jiami Ganshen Wan (Secret Prescription Pill for Liver and Kidney); for flourishing Fire in the Kidney, use Zhibai Tiandi Jian (Anemarrhena and Phellodendron Heaven and Earth Decoction); for insufficiency of True Yang, use Jin Gui Shenqi Wan (Kidney Qi Pill from the Golden Cabinet).

[Symptoms of Essence Deficiency and Consumption Injury] Withering of the large bones, sinking of the large muscles, sitting on the buttocks instead of using the heels, and bending the spine forward so the head is supported by the back (indicating extreme emaciation); or bone-steaming tidal fever, and pulling pain during urination and defecation. These are symptoms of essence deficiency and consumption injury.
[Etiology of Essence Deficiency and Consumption Injury] Inherent deficiency of spirit and essence, excessive sexual activity, overexertion in labor, or mental anxiety and overthinking, causing the Fire of Jueyang to move internally, simmering and consuming True Yin, leading to Yin Fire scorching Metal (Lung), resulting in wheezing and coughing, thereby causing symptoms of essence deficiency and consumption injury.
[Pulse Signs of Essence Deficiency and Consumption Injury] Deep, fine, and rapid pulse; fine and rapid Left pulse indicates Liver-Kidney essence deficiency; fine and rapid Right pulse indicates Lung-Spleen fluid deficiency; fine but not rapid indicates essence is deficient but not exhausted; fine and rapid indicates Yin essence is already exhausted.
[Treatment of Essence Deficiency and Consumption Injury] For Liver-Kidney essence deficiency, use Santang Tang (Three Immortals Decoction), Jiami Ganshen Wan (Secret Prescription Pill for Liver and Kidney), and Guilu Erxian Jiao (Turtle and Deer Two Immortals Glue) made into pills. For Lung-Spleen essence deficiency, use Shengmai San (Generate the Pulse Powder), Qiongyu Gao (Jade Dew Paste), and Shenling Heche Wan (Ginseng, Atractylodes, and Placenta Pill).
