The pupil corresponds to the Water Palisade (Shui Kuo), and the cornea corresponds to the Wind Palisade (Feng Kuo); the Heaven Palisade (Tian Kuo) shares the same location as the sclera. The inner canthus belongs to the Fire (Huo) and Thunder (Lei) Palisades, while the outer canthus belongs to the Mountain (Shan) and Lake (Ze) Palisades; the upper and lower eyelids belong to the Earth Palisade (Di Kuo).
[Note] The so-called Eight Palisades refer to the Water, Wind, Heaven, Fire, Thunder, Mountain, Lake, and Earth Palisades. They are called "Palisades" (Kuo), analogous to the meaning of city walls providing defense and protection. The pupil belongs to the Kan trigram's Water Palisade. The cornea belongs to the Xun trigram's Wind Palisade. The sclera belongs to the Qian trigram's Heaven Palisade. The larger inner canthus belongs to the Li trigram's Fire Palisade and the Zhen trigram's Thunder Palisade. The smaller outer canthus belongs to the Gen trigram's Mountain Palisade and the Dui trigram's Lake Palisade. The two eyelids belong to the Kun trigram's Earth Palisade. This clarifies that the Eight Palisades are named according to the Eight Trigrams, indicating the locations of the Six Fu Organs, the Gate of Life (Mingmen), and the Pericardium.
Water Palisade — Belongs to the Urinary Bladder, also known as the Fluids Palisade (Jinye Kuo).
Wind Palisade — Belongs to the Gallbladder, also known as the Nourishing and Transforming Palisade (Yanghua Kuo).
Heaven Palisade — Belongs to the Large Intestine, also known as the Transmission Palisade (Chuandao Kuo).
Earth Palisade — Belongs to the Stomach, also known as the Food and Drink Palisade (Shuigu Kuo).
Fire Palisade — Belongs to the Small Intestine, also known as the Embracing Yang Palisade (Baoyang Kuo).

[Note] "Inner Canthus Fire Small Intestine" refers to the Inner Canthus Fire Palisade, which belongs to the Small Intestine. "Outer Canthus Sanjiao Pure and Clear Lake" refers to the Outer Canthus belonging to the Sanjiao, i.e., the Pure and Clear Lake Palisade. The Fluids Palisade is the Water Palisade; the Water Palisade belongs to the Kidney (Zhuo: Note: Text earlier states Water Palisade belongs to Bladder; here note links it to Kidney due to interior-exterior relationship). The Kidney and Urinary Bladder are exteriorly-interiorly related; the Urinary Bladder is the mansion of fluids, hence this name. The Nourishing and Transforming Palisade is the Wind Palisade; the Wind Palisade belongs to the Liver. The Liver and Gallbladder are exteriorly-interiorly related; the Gallbladder is Shaoyang, governing growth and transformation, hence this name. The Transmission Palisade is the Heaven Palisade; the Heaven Palisade belongs to the Lung. The Lung and Large Intestine are exteriorly-interiorly related; the Large Intestine is the official of transmission, hence this name. The Spleen and Stomach are exteriorly-interiorly related; the Stomach receives food and drink, hence this name. The Embracing Yang Palisade is the Fire Palisade; the Fire Palisade belongs to the Heart. The Heart and Small Intestine are exteriorly-interiorly related; because it attaches to Yang, hence this name. The Closing Spring Palisade is the Thunder Palisade; the Gate of Life is the fire of dragons and thunder, thus named Guanquan (Closing Spring), attaching to the Fire Palisade. The Pure and Clear Palisade is the Lake Palisade; the Sanjiao is the ministerial fire of yang, steaming and transforming food and drink, serving as the official of drainage, thus named Qingjing (Pure and Clear), attaching to the Fire Palisade. The Meeting Yin Palisade is the Mountain Palisade; the Pericardium is the ministerial fire of yin, attaching to the Heart as the ministerial envoy, thus named Huiyin (Meeting Yin), attaching to the Fire Palisade.
