栝蒌实（一枚捣） 薤（半斤） 白酒（十升）
上三味同煮取二升分温再服
即前方加半夏（半升）减薤白（五两）煮取四升温服一升日三服治胸痹不得卧

即前方加枳实（四枚）浓朴（四两）桂枝（一两）不用白酒以水五升先煮枳实浓
升去滓
内诸药煮数沸分温三服治胸痹心中痞气气结在胸胸满胁下逆抢心
凡是治疗中风，如果不审察六经的证候表现进行加减，虽然用药，与不用药没有区别。
治疗中风身热、无汗、不恶寒且口渴，本方中加入知母、石膏各一钱四分，去掉附子。
治疗中风身热、有汗、恶风，本方中加入葛根、官桂、茯苓各一钱半。
治疗中风肢节挛痛、麻木不仁，本方中加入羌活、连翘各一钱五分。
即小续命汤去掉芍药、川芎、防风、附子，加入当归、独活、干姜（各一两）、石膏五钱，治疗半身不遂。
即小续命汤中有防己，加入白花蛇、独活、干蝎（各三钱），治疗突然暴发的中风，人事不省，逐渐出现半身不遂。
即独活续命汤去掉黄芩、芍药、杏仁、防己，加入天麻、僵蚕、白术、赤箭（细辛）、白附子、半夏、白... 治疗中风急症，牙关紧急，精神昏愦。
即小续命汤去掉芍药、黄芩，加入独活、防己、茯苓、升麻、细辛、石膏、白术，研为粗末，装入小绢袋，用水煎煮... 每日服用，注意避风寒，疗效很好，治疗各种风病，不论轻重。
治疗胸痹病，喘息、咳唾、胸背疼痛、短气，寸口脉沉而迟，关上脉小紧数。
栝蒌实（一枚，捣碎） 薤白（半斤） 白酒（十升）
以上三味同煮，取汁二升，分两次温服。
即前方加入半夏（半升），减少薤白（五两），煮取四升，温服一升，每日三次，治疗胸痹不能平卧者。
即前方加入枳实（四枚）、厚朴（四两）、桂枝（一两），不用白酒，以水五升，先煮枳实、厚朴... 去滓，加入其他药物煮数沸，分三次温服，治疗胸痹心中痞塞感，气结在胸，胸满胁下逆气抢心。
In the treatment of wind-stroke (Zhong Feng), if one does not examine the manifestations and syndromes of the Six Channels (Liu Jing) for modification, administering medication is no different from not doing so.
For wind-stroke with absence of sweating and aversion to cold, double the dosage of Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), and Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren) in this formula.
For wind-stroke with presence of sweating and aversion to wind, double the dosage of Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao), and Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren) in this formula.
For wind-stroke with fever, absence of sweating, no aversion to cold, but thirst, add Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) and Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu), each 1 qian 4 fen, and remove Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi).
For wind-stroke with fever, presence of sweating, and aversion to wind, add Puerariae Radix (Gegen), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guizhi), and Polyporus (Fuling), each 1 qian 5 fen.
For wind-stroke with absence of sweating and cool body, double the dosage of Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi) and add Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang) 1 qian.
For wind-stroke with presence of sweating and no fever, double the dosage of Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guizhi), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi), and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao).
For wind-stroke with spasmodic pain in limbs and joints and numbness, add Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo) and Forsythiae Fructus (Lianqiao), each 1 qian 5 fen.

Decoct these three ingredients together to obtain two sheng, take warm in two doses.
