一己亥下见甲寅少阳相火在泉甲本寄寅命曰直符符者合也地化自然别无刑克
二乙巳下见庚申少阳相火在泉庚本在申直符者支干合德也地火不能胜于年运也即一火不胜二金也
三丁酉下见壬子少阴君火在泉壬本在子支干合德地化自令别无刑克
四辛卯下见丙午少阴君火在泉丙住南方午为家室地化之令时化不迁间运无犯
五壬辰下见丁未太阴土在泉丁本寄未支干同家气令自正别无胜至
六甲辰下见己未太阴土在泉己亦住未支干同乡命曰直符地令应候
七戊戌下见癸丑太阴土在泉癸本在丑太干相合地令化专别无间刑
八庚子下见乙卯阳明金在泉乙来归东支干合德地化应睛气令无失

一壬子下见丁卯丁壬木运地见阳明在泉阳明金也地胜于运白气上腾运化不应对化之地其胜犹小

三癸丑下见戊辰戊癸火运地见太阳在泉太阳水也地胜于运黑气下生火令灭半对化之地其胜乃微

一、己亥年，地支见甲寅。少阳相火居于在泉之位。甲木本气寄于寅位，称为“直符”。“符”意为符合，地气变化顺应自然，没有其他刑克关系。
二、乙巳年，地支见庚申。少阳相火居于在泉之位。庚金本位在申，“直符”意味着天干地支德性相合。地火之气不能胜过当年的岁运（即一火不胜二金）。
三、丁酉年，地支见壬子。少阴君火居于在泉之位。壬水本位在子，天干地支德性相合，地气变化自行其令，没有其他刑克。
四、辛卯年，地支见丙午。少阴君火居于在泉之位。丙火驻守南方，午为火之宅舍，地气变化之令与时令变化不迁异，间气运行没有侵犯。
五、壬辰年，地支见丁未。太阴湿土居于在泉之位。丁火本气寄于未位，天干地支同家，气令自然端正，没有胜复之气至。
六、甲辰年，地支见己未。太阴湿土居于在泉之位。己土亦居住于未位，天干地支同乡，称为“直符”，地令应合时令。
七、戊戌年，地支见癸丑。太阴湿土居于在泉之位。癸水本位在丑，天干地支相互结合，地令化气专一，别无间隙和刑克。
八、庚子年，地支见乙卯。阳明燥金居于在泉之位。乙木来归于东方，天干地支德性相合，地气变化应合晴明之气令，没有失误。
九、丙子年，地支见辛酉。阳明燥金居于在泉之位。辛金来向西位，天干地支同位，地气变化根据时令，别无形体上的异常。
十、戊申年，地支见癸亥。厥阴风木居于在泉之位。癸水到达北方，天干地支合位，地气变化时令不失其本源。
十一、癸未年，地支见戊戌。太阳寒水居于在泉之位。戊土到天间如同归家宅舍，地气变化专精，更没有其他克制。
十二、甲寅年，地支见己巳。厥阴风木居于在泉之位。己土归入地户，好似返回家乡，地气变化时令应合，没有失误。
地气胜于在泉的十二种法则
一、壬子年，地支见丁卯。丁壬化木运，地气见到阳明在泉（阳明属金）。地气胜于岁运，白气（金气）上腾，岁运化气不应，在对化之地，其胜势尚小。
二、壬午年，地支见丁酉。丁壬化木运，地气见到阳明在泉（阳明属金）。地气胜于岁运，白气（金气）上腾，燥气生而风气灭，在正化之地，其胜势乃威猛。
三、癸丑年，地支见戊辰。戊癸化火运，地气见到太阳在泉（太阳属水）。地气胜于岁运，黑气（水气）下生，火令减半，在对化之地，其胜势乃微弱。
四、癸未年，地支见戊戌。戊癸化火运，地气见到太阳在泉（太阳属水）。地气胜于岁运，黑气（水气）下生，火运乃灭，在正化之地，其胜势甚为雄强。
五、甲寅年，地支见己巳。甲己化土运，地气见到厥阴在泉（厥阴属木）。地气胜于岁运，青气（木气）上腾，土湿还弱，在对化之地，其胜势乃虚浮。
六、甲申年，地支见己亥。甲己化土运，地气见到厥阴在泉（厥阴属木）。地气胜于岁运，青埃四起，雨湿全亏，在正化之地，其胜势甚为坚固。
七、乙酉年，地支见庚子。乙庚化金运，地气见到少阴在泉（少阴属君火）。地气胜于岁运，赤气（火气）下生，燥失化气，在对化之地，其胜势至微。
八、乙卯年，地支见庚午。乙庚化金运，地气见到少阴在泉（少阴属君火）。地气胜于岁运，赤气（火气）下生，燥金全失，在正化之地，其胜势至甚。
九、丙戌年，地支见辛丑。丙辛化水运，地气见到太阴在泉（太阴属土）。地气胜于岁运，黄气（土气）下升，寒运灭凛，在对化之地，其胜势犹轻。
十、丙辰年，地支见辛未。丙辛化水运，地气见到太阴在泉（太阴属土）。地气胜于岁运，黄气（土气）下起，运水失寒，在正化之地，其胜势甚重。

Twelve Methods of the Direct Symbol (Zhi Fu) in the In-Quan Position
1. In the year of Ji Hai, the Earthly Branch reveals Jia Yin. Shaoyang Ministerial Fire resides in the In-Quan position. The fundamental Qi of Jia Wood is lodged in the Yin position, termed "Direct Symbol" (Zhi Fu). "Fu" means conformity; the transformation of Earth follows nature naturally, with no other punitive clashes.
2. In the year of Yi Si, the Earthly Branch reveals Geng Shen. Shaoyang Ministerial Fire resides in the In-Quan position. Geng Metal's fundamental position is in Shen. "Direct Symbol" implies that the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch harmonize in virtue. The Earthly Fire cannot overcome the Annual Movement (i.e., one Fire cannot overcome two Metals).
3. In the year of Ding You, the Earthly Branch reveals Ren Zi. Shaoyin Sovereign Fire resides in the In-Quan position. Ren Water's fundamental position is in Zi. The Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch harmonize in virtue; the transformation of Earth issues its own command without other punitive clashes.
4. In the year of Xin Mao, the Earthly Branch reveals Bing Wu. Shaoyin Sovereign Fire resides in the In-Quan position. Bing Fire resides in the South, and Wu is its residence. The command of Earth's transformation does not shift from the seasonal transformation; the intermediate movement encounters no violation.
5. In the year of Ren Chen, the Earthly Branch reveals Ding Wei. Taiyin Wet Earth resides in the In-Quan position. The fundamental Qi of Ding Fire is lodged in the Wei position. The Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch share the same home; the Qi command is naturally upright, with no overcoming forces arriving.
6. In the year of Jia Chen, the Earthly Branch reveals Ji Wei. Taiyin Wet Earth resides in the In-Quan position. Ji Earth also resides in the Wei position. The Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch share the same locality, termed "Direct Symbol." The Earthly command corresponds to the season.
7. In the year of Wu Xu, the Earthly Branch reveals Gui Chou. Taiyin Wet Earth resides in the In-Quan position. Gui Water's fundamental position is in Chou. The Heavenly Dryness and Earthly Command combine mutually; the transformation of Earth is specialized, with no gaps or punitive clashes.
8. In the year of Geng Zi, the Earthly Branch reveals Yi Mao. Yangming Dry Metal resides in the In-Quan position. Yi Wood returns to the East. The Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch harmonize in virtue; the transformation of Earth responds to the clear Qi command without loss.
9. In the year of Bing Zi, the Earthly Branch reveals Xin You. Yangming Dry Metal resides in the In-Quan position. Xin Metal moves westward. The Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch are in the same position; the transformation of Earth adheres to the command, with no abnormal forms heard.
10. In the year of Wu Shen, the Earthly Branch reveals Gui Hai. Jueyin Wind Wood resides in the In-Quan position. Gui Water arrives in the North. The Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch align in position; the transformation of Earth does not lose its origin in time.
11. In the year of Gui Wei, the Earthly Branch reveals Wu Xu. Taiyang Cold Water resides in the In-Quan position. Wu Earth arrives at the Heaven's space as if returning to its residence. The transformation of Earth is focused and exclusive, with no other clashing forces.
12. In the year of Jia Yin, the Earthly Branch reveals Ji Si. Jueyin Wind Wood resides in the In-Quan position. Ji Earth returns to the Earth's gate, resembling a return to one's hometown. The transformation of Earth corresponds to the season without loss.
Twelve Methods of Earth Overcoming the In-Quan Position
1. In the year of Ren Zi, the Earthly Branch reveals Ding Mao. The Ding-Ren combination yields Wood Movement. The Earth reveals Yangming in the In-Quan position (Yangming belongs to Metal). Earth overcomes the Movement; White Qi (Metal Qi) ascends. The Movement's transformation does not respond. In the place of Counter-Harmonization (Dui Hua), its overcoming force is still small.
2. In the year of Ren Wu, the Earthly Branch reveals Ding You. The Ding-Ren combination yields Wood Movement. The Earth reveals Yangming in the In-Quan position (Yangming belongs to Metal). Earth overcomes the Movement; White Qi (Metal Qi) ascends. Dryness generates and Wind extinguishes. In the place of Positive Harmonization (Zheng Hua), its overcoming force is majestic.
3. In the year of Gui Chou, the Earthly Branch reveals Wu Chen. The Wu-Gui combination yields Fire Movement. The Earth reveals Taiyang in the In-Quan position (Taiyang belongs to Water). Earth overcomes the Movement; Black Qi (Water Qi) generates downward. The Fire command is extinguished by half. In the place of Counter-Harmonization, its overcoming force is slight.
4. In the year of Gui Wei, the Earthly Branch reveals Wu Xu. The Wu-Gui combination yields Fire Movement. The Earth reveals Taiyang in the In-Quan position (Taiyang belongs to Water). Earth overcomes the Movement; Black Qi (Water Qi) generates downward. The Fire Movement is extinguished. In the place of Positive Harmonization, its overcoming force is very powerful.
5. In the year of Jia Yin, the Earthly Branch reveals Ji Si. The Jia-Ji combination yields Earth Movement. The Earth reveals Jueyin in the In-Quan position (Jueyin belongs to Wood). Earth overcomes the Movement; Green Qi (Wood Qi) ascends. Earth's dampness remains weak. In the place of Counter-Harmonization, its overcoming force is empty.
6. In the year of Jia Shen, the Earthly Branch reveals Ji Hai. The Jia-Ji combination yields Earth Movement. The Earth reveals Jueyin in the In-Quan position (Jueyin belongs to Wood). Earth overcomes the Movement; Green dust rises from all directions. Rain and dampness are completely deficient. In the place of Positive Harmonization, its overcoming force is very firm.
7. In the year of Yi You, the Earthly Branch reveals Geng Zi. The Yi-Geng combination yields Metal Movement. The Earth reveals Shaoyin in the In-Quan position (Shaoyin belongs to Sovereign Fire). Earth overcomes the Movement; Red Qi (Fire Qi) generates downward. Dryness loses its transformation. In the place of Counter-Harmonization, its overcoming force is extremely slight.
8. In the year of Yi Mao, the Earthly Branch reveals Geng Wu. The Yi-Geng combination yields Metal Movement. The Earth reveals Shaoyin in the In-Quan position (Shaoyin belongs to Sovereign Fire). Earth overcomes the Movement; Red Qi (Fire Qi) generates downward. Dry Metal is completely lost. In the place of Positive Harmonization, its overcoming force is extreme.
9. In the year of Bing Xu, the Earthly Branch reveals Xin Chou. The Bing-Xin combination yields Water Movement. The Earth reveals Taiyin in the In-Quan position (Taiyin belongs to Earth). Earth overcomes the Movement; Yellow Qi (Earth Qi) ascends downward. The Cold Movement is extinguished and chilling. In the place of Counter-Harmonization, its overcoming force is light.
10. In the year of Bing Chen, the Earthly Branch reveals Xin Wei. The Bing-Xin combination yields Water Movement. The Earth reveals Taiyin in the In-Quan position (Taiyin belongs to Earth). Earth overcomes the Movement; Yellow Qi (Earth Qi) rises. The Movement's Water loses its cold. In the place of Positive Harmonization, its overcoming force is heavy.
11. In the year of Yi Si, the Earthly Branch reveals Geng Shen. The Yi-Geng combination yields Metal Movement. The Earth reveals Shaoyang in the In-Quan position (Shaoyang belongs to Ministerial Fire). Earth overcomes the Movement; Red Qi (Fire Qi) generates downward. The Dry command is insufficient.
