Odd (Extra) Points are what is called "Ashi points" (points where pressing causes pain or relief in the patient), those without a unified name. As well as local moxibustion methods of this land, which were transmitted to the Central Plains, recorded in *Shen Ying Jing* and *Sheng Ji Zong Lu*, generally collected under various treatment sections, not recorded here because they lack specific names. Mr. Okamoto on Ashi key points said: The acupoints recorded in Huangfu Mi's *Jia Yi Jing*, *Su Wen: Qi Fu Lun* with Wang Bing's commentary, and Hua Bo Ren's *Shi Si Jing Fa Hui*, currently existing only number 356 acupoints. Others such as Si Hua, Feng Shi, Yao Yan, Pi Gen, etc., are considered Odd Yu (extra acupoints), and are all Ashi points. *Nei Jing* has no concept of "Qi Shu" (Odd Acupoints). *Ling Shu: Ci Jie Zhen Xie Lun* mentions "Qi Shu", but it does not mean that outside the 356 acupoints, there are separate Qi Shu. Furthermore, the term "Ashi" is absent from *Su Wen* and *Ling Shu*; it first appears in *Qian Jin Fang*. *Jing Jin Pian* states: "Use pain as the Shu point." Ma Xuantai commented in *Zheng Fa Wei*: What is commonly known as Tian Ying point is exactly this. Shu points originally belong to the meridian system; do Qi Shu and Ashi points exist outside the meridians? Feng Shi point is the Zhu point of the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian; Yao Yan point is the Liu point of the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian. Others can be inferred by analogy. Cui Shi's Si Hua points were verified by Ming Dynasty's Gao Wu as the Ge Shu and Dan Shu four points on the second line of the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian. For any Odd Yu point, one must clarify its belonging meridian and original point for acupuncture and moxibustion effects to be clear. However, current records of Ashi key points have many omissions. I have compiled odd Shu names scattered in various books and recorded them. My knowledge is shallow and limited; how could I exhaust all here? This is left for future scholars. Regarding Ma Shi's statement that these odd points must belong to the meridian system, occasionally differing from records in other books.

Measure with a rope from the center of the nose straight up to the hairline, fold the rope in half at the middle, then enter the hair from the hairline and moxa at the end of the rope. Named Tian Cong. (From *Qian Jin Fang*)
Note: In *Qian Jin Yi Fang*, "Cong" is written as "", "Xiong" as "Xiong".
