(There are twenty-eight acupoints on both sides.)
The *Jingmai Pian* (Chapter on Meridians) states: The Liver is the meridian of Foot-Jueyin. It originates at the tufted hair of the big toe. (Dadun, LR1) Ascending along the medial margin of the dorsum of the foot (Xingjian, LR2; Taichong, LR3), it passes one cun anterior to the medial malleolus (Zhongfeng, LR4). At eight cun above the medial malleolus (Sanyinjiao, SP6; Ligou, LR5; Zhongdu, LR8), it crosses behind the meridian of Foot-Taiyin. It then ascends along the medial aspect of the thigh. (Xiguan, LR7; Ququan, LR8) Following the yin aspect of the thigh (Yinbao, LR9; Wuli, LR10; Yinlian, LR11), it enters the pubic region. (Jimai, LR12; Chongmen, SP12; Fushé, SP13) It passes around the external genitalia and reaches the lower abdomen. (Qugu, CV2; Zhongji, CV3; Guanyuan, CV4) It flanks the stomach, belongs to the Liver, and connects with the Gallbladder. It ascends through the diaphragm (Zhangmen, LR13; Qimen, LR14), distributing into the hypochondriac region. It follows the posterior aspect of the throat, ascends into the nasopharynx, and connects with the eye system. It emerges from the forehead and meets the Du vessel at the vertex. A branch descends from the eye system to the cheek interior, encircling the inner lips. Another branch diverges from the Liver, pierces the diaphragm, and flows upward into the Lungs. (Note: Below "meets at the vertex," the commentary in *Jia Yi Jing* states: One version says a branch arises from the lower abdomen, knots at the lumbosacral region, flanks the spine downward, at the level of the third and fourth intervertebral foramina.)
It also states: The collateral named Ligou (LR5) of the Foot-Jueyin meridian is located five cun above the medial malleolus and branches off to connect with the Shaoyang meridian. Its branch ascends along the tibia and knots at the penis.
The *Jingbie Pian* (Chapter on Divergent Meridians) states: The proper pathway of the Foot-Jueyin meridian diverges from the dorsum of the foot, ascends to the pubic region, and joins with the Shaoyang meridian, traveling together with the collateral. This is referred to as the "second combination."
The *Weiqi Pian* (Chapter on Defensive Qi) states: The root of the Foot-Jueyin meridian is located five cun above Xingjian (LR2); its mark is on the back.
The *Jingjin Pian* (Chapter on Sinew Meridians) states: The sinew meridian of Foot-Jueyin originates above the big toe, ascends and knots anterior to the medial malleolus, follows the tibia upward, knots below the medial condyle of the tibia, ascends along the medial thigh, and knots at the external genitalia, connecting with various sinews.
The *Re Lun* (Treatise on Cold Damage/Heat Diseases) states: The Jueyin meridian circulates around the external genitalia and connects to the Liver.
Dadun (LR1): Where the Foot-Jueyin meridian travels.
Xingjian (LR2): Where the qi flows rapidly (Liu).
Taichong (LR3): Where the qi accumulates (Zhu).
Zhongfeng (LR4): Where the qi accumulates (Zhu). (*Zhen Jiu Ju Ying* records this as "Where the meridian travels").
Ligou (LR5): Luo-connecting point, branching to the Shaoyang meridian.
Zhongdu (LR8): [Text missing].
Xiguan (LR7): Where the qi emerges/fae (Fa). (*Qian Jin Fang* states: Foot-Jueyin...).
Ququan (LR8): Where the qi enters (Ru).
Yinbao (LR9): Luo-connecting point, branching... (Commentary notes: Text is missing here).
Wuli (LR10).
Yinlian (LR11).
Jimai (LR12): Secondary commentary states: The great collateral of the Jueyin meridian.
Zhangmen (LR13): Intersection of Foot-Jueyin and Foot-Shaoyang meridians.
Qimen (LR14): Intersection of Foot-Taiyin, Foot-Jueyin, and Yinwei vessels.
According to *Lei Jing*: The acupoint Jimai (LR12) is not recorded in books following *Jia Yi Jing*. *Wai Tai Mi Yao* lists twenty-two points, excluding Zhangmen (assigned to the Gallbladder meridian) and Qimen (assigned to the Spleen meridian). *Ru Men* and *Da Quan* mention the acupoint Yangshi, detailed in the section on Extraordinary Points.
Sanyinjiao (SP6): Meeting point of this meridian.
Fushé (SP13), Chongmen (SP12), Qugu (CV2), Zhongji (CV3), Guanyuan (CV4): Meeting points of this meridian.
