甘遂末三钱，用猪心取三管血和药入内缚定，纸裹煨熟取沫，入辰砂末一钱，分四丸。

中诸鬼祟
人为鬼附，昏迷笑哭或作鬼语，急将两手大指缚作一排，用艾圆嵌中间爪中尽头连肉处，
灸七壮或十七壮，鬼即去。若犹昏沉者，用麻黄三两，杏仁七十粒，甘草一两，水二碗煎半
灌之，愈后仍服参、 等补正之药。（《秘方集验》）
尸厥（由入庙吊丧问病而得者）
用附子七钱重者，泡去皮脐为末，分二服，每服酒三盏，煎一盏，如无附子，生姜汁半
盏，一盏，同煎百沸，连灌二服即醒。
卒厥（无论中风、寒、暑、热、鬼祟、邪气、食痰）
生姜汁一钟，童便一钟，调服，立知人事（单方）
中恶心痛
杀白乌骨鸡敷心，即瘥。鬼击用血涂，亦效。（李时珍方）
鬼箭打
铁屑（细净）二两 胡桃一斤（净肉） 桃仁八两
同入磁器内，加好酒四斤，隔汤煮，以糯米置上，熟为度。每日不拘时，随量暖服，盖
被发汗，服时痛稍甚，服完渐愈。勿以服药时痛而中止也。 一用炒山栀、面（炒）、桃头
七个，杵饼贴，次日作七丸，投炭火中烧响即愈。（《单方全集》）
神箭
狗骨（烧灰）三钱 山栀七个 面（飞） 糟各一两
醋调敷，不可针刺。
女人病邪（女人与邪交通，独言独笑，悲思恍惚者）
雄黄一两，松脂一两，溶化，以虎爪搅之，丸如弹子大，夜烧笼中，令女坐上，被盖露
头在外，不过三剂自断。仍以雄黄、人参、防风、五味子等份为末，每旦井水服方寸匕。（《肘
后方》）

惊气丸（症状表现为发作时牙关紧闭，涎液涌潮导致昏厥堵塞；清醒后精神恍惚如同痴呆）
药材包括：附子、木香、僵蚕、白花蛇、桔红、天麻、麻黄、干蝎、南星（用姜汁浸泡一夜），各三钱。
加入苏合香少许，冰片少许，炼蜜为丸，大小如龙眼核。每次服用一丸，用金银花和薄荷煎汤送服。曾有一呆傻之人面临死刑时获得赦免，因受惊吓而痴傻，服用此丸即愈。又有一位妇女患痴病十年，去掉方中的附子，加入铁落，也治好了。（出自许学士方）
遂心丹（治疗癫痫症）
取甘遂末三钱，用猪心切开取出三管血，将药粉混入猪心中并捆绑固定，用纸包裹后在火中煨熟，刮取里面的药沫，加入辰砂末一钱，分成四丸。用猪心煎成的汤调服，若大便排出恶浊之物即为有效，若未排出可再服用。（出自《济生方》）
经验方
郁金七两，明矾三两，研为细末，用糊剂制成丸药，每次服用十丸。曾有一位妇女患癫狂病十年，服用此方，起初感觉有物从胸中脱落，神情清爽，再服后完全痊愈。（李时珍配制）
归神丹
取猪心二个，切片，放入朱砂二两、灯芯草三两在内，用麻绳扎紧，在石器中煮一个时辰（约两小时），取出朱砂研为细末，同茯神末三两一起，用酒打糊制成梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用九丸，逐渐增加至二十五丸，用麦冬汤送服。病情严重者，用人参和乳香煎汤送服。（出自《百一选方》）
癫狂
先将病患绑伏在地上，在距膻中穴向下三指处灸七壮艾或九壮艾，再灸两侧太阳穴各六、七壮艾。接着用辰砂三钱、川贝母三钱，用酒送服两次；再用海风藤半钱、凤尾草半钱、石菖蒲三钱、川贝母半钱，服用五、六帖。或者再服用紫金锭一、二钱。痊愈后用芦蒂、枣肉制成丸药，每次服用三分，服至三丸即可全愈。遵循此治疗方法，百试百灵。（出自《卫生备要》）
治疗狂躁不眠
人参、酸枣仁各一两，辰砂五钱，乳香一钱五分。
炼蜜为丸，大小如弹子，用薄荷汤送服。曾有一人因战乱兵火导致心神失守，服用二十丸后痊愈，效果神奇。（出自《赤水玄珠》）
夜梦亡鬼（因恐惧梦见亡魂所致之病）
人参、黄芪、枸杞、薏苡仁、白术各半钱，当归、远志、茯苓、木瓜、陈皮各一钱，甘草五分。用水一钟，加入一枚猪心血，煎至八分，饮下，服用四、五帖即可自愈。（出自《新都治集》）
久痫（长期癫痫）
使用未曾落入水中的猪心一个，去除内部积血，放入射干三钱，用泥封固后在火中煨烤，待变红后取出，存性（保留药性）研为细末，每次服用三钱。百试百灵。（出自《秘方总集》）
中诸鬼祟（被邪气侵扰）
人若被鬼附身，出现昏迷、大笑大哭或说鬼话等症状，急忙将两手大拇指捆绑成一排，用艾炷嵌在中间指甲根部连肉处，灸七壮或十七壮，邪气即去。如果仍然昏沉，用麻黄三两、杏仁七十粒、甘草一两，水二碗煎至一半，灌服，痊愈后仍需服用人参等补益正气的药物。（出自《秘方集验》）
尸厥（因进入庙宇吊丧问病而得病）
选用重七钱的附子，泡透后去皮和脐，研为细末，分两次服用。每次用酒三盏，煎至一盏。如果没有附子，可用生姜汁半盏、醋一盏，同煎至沸腾，连续灌服两次即可苏醒。
卒厥（无论由中风、寒、暑、热、鬼祟、邪气、食积痰阻引起）
生姜汁一钟，童便一钟，调和后服用，立即恢复意识（单方）。
中恶心痛（突然的心腹疼痛）
杀一只白乌骨鸡敷在心口，即刻好转。若是鬼击所致，用鸡血涂抹，也有效。（李时珍方）
鬼箭打（一种外伤或毒邪）
铁屑（细净）二两，胡桃一斤（净肉），桃仁八两。
一同放入磁器内，加好酒四斤，隔水炖煮，上面放糯米，煮熟为止。每日不拘时间，适量温服，服药后盖被发汗。服药时疼痛可能会稍加重，服完后逐渐痊愈。不要因为服药时疼痛而停止服药。另一种用法：用炒山栀、炒面粉、桃头七个，捣烂成饼贴敷，次日做成七丸，投入炭火中烧响即愈。（出自《单方全集》）
神箭（类似箭伤或毒邪）
狗骨（烧成灰）三钱，山栀七个，飞面、酒糟各一两。
用醋调匀外敷，不可针刺。
女人病邪（女人与邪气交感，独自说话大笑，悲伤思绪恍惚者）
雄黄一两，松脂一两，熔化后，用虎爪搅拌，制成如弹子大的丸药。夜间在笼中燃烧，让女子坐在笼上，被子盖住只露出头，不超过三剂自然断绝。之后仍以雄黄、人参、防风、五味子等量研为细末，每天早晨用井水送服方寸匕。（出自《肘后方》）
(Note: Diseases caused by malevolent influences)
Jingqi Wan (Panic Pill)
Symptoms include clenched jaws, surging saliva leading to coma and obstruction during attacks; upon waking, the spirit appears dull as if in a state of dementia.
Ingredients: Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root), Muxiang (Costus Root), Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), Baihuashe (White-spotted Agkistrodon), Juhong (Aged Tangerine Peel), Tianma (Gastrodia Rhizome), Mahuang (Ephedra Herb), Ganxie (Dried Scorpion), Nanxing (Arisaema Cum Bile) (soaked in ginger juice overnight), each 3 qian.
Add a small amount of Suhexiang (Styrax) and Bingpian (Borneol). Form pills with honey, sized like longan seeds. Take one pill per dose, washed down with decoction of Jinyinhua (Honeysuckle Flower) and Bohe (Mint). Case: A man who was mentally slow was spared execution due to panic-induced stupor; one pill cured him. Another woman suffered from stupor for ten years; removing Fuzi and adding Tielluo (Calcined Hematite) also cured her. (From Xu Xueshi's Formula)
Suixin Dan (Heart-Calming Pill)
(Treating Epilepsy)
Take 3 qian of Gansui powder. Cut open a pig heart, extract three tubes of blood, mix the medicine into the heart, tie it securely, wrap in paper, and bake until cooked. Scrape out the residue, add 1 qian of Chencha powder (Cinnabar), and divide into four pills. Administer with decoction of pig heart. Efficacy is indicated by the passage of foul matter in stool; if not passed, take another dose. (From *Jisheng Fang*)
Empirical Formula
Yujin (Curcuma Longa Rhizome) 7 liang, Mingfan (Alum) 3 liang. Grind into powder and make pills with paste. Take 10 pills per dose. Case: A woman suffering from mania and epilepsy for ten years took this formula. Initially, she felt something detach from her chest and her spirit became refreshed; after a second dose, she was completely cured. (Formulated by Li Shizhen)
Guishen Dan (Spirit-Returning Pill)
Two pig hearts, sliced. Add 2 liang of Zhusha (Cinnabar) and 3 liang of Dengxincao (Juncus Effusus Pith). Tie tightly with hemp rope. Boil in a stone vessel for one fu shi (approx. 2 hours). Remove the Cinnabar, grind into powder, and mix with 3 liang of Fushen (Poria with Hostwood) powder. Use wine to form pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 9 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 25 pills, taken with Maidong (Ophiopogon Decorus Tuber) decoction. For severe cases, take with Ren Shen (Ginseng Root) and Ruxiang (Frankincense) decoction. (From *Baiyi Xuanfang*)
Diankuang (Mania and Epilepsy)
First, bind the patient prone on the ground. Moxibustion: Apply 7 or 9 moxa cones at a point three finger-breadths below the Shanzhong (CV17) acupoint. Then apply 6-7 moxa cones to both Taiyang (EX-HN5) acupoints. Next, administer 3 qian of Chencha (Cinnabar) and 3 qian of Chuanbei (Fritillaria Cirrhosa Bulb) with wine, twice. Then use Haifengteng (Sargentodoxa Cuneata Stem) 0.5 qian, Fengweicao (Pteris Multifida Herb) 0.5 qian, Shichangpu (Acorus Tatarinowii Rhizome) 3 qian, and Chuanbei 0.5 qian. Take 5-6 doses. Alternatively, take 1-2 qian of Zijinding (Purple Gold Pellet). After recovery, make pills from Ludi (Reed Roots) and jujube flesh. Take 3 fen per dose, up to 3 pills for full cure. This method has been tested successfully many times. (From *Weisheng Beiyao*)
Treating Mania and Insomnia
Renshen (Ginseng Root) and Zaoren (Ziziphus Jujuba Seed) each 1 liang; Chencha (Cinnabar) 5 qian; Ruxiang (Frankincense) 1.5 qian.
Make pills the size of bullet seeds with honey. Take with Bohe (Mint) decoction. Case: A person lost their mind due to war and fire; taking 20 pills cured them miraculously. (From *Chuishui Xuanzhu*)
Nightmares of Deceased Spirits (Illness caused by fear of seeing deceased spirits)
Renshen (Ginseng Root), Huangqi (Astragalus Membranaceus Root), Gouqi (Lycium Barbarum Fruit), Yiren (Coix Lacryma-Jobi Seed), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) each 0.5 qian; Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Yuanzhi (Polygala Tenuifolia Root), Fuling (Poria), Mugua (Chaenomelis Fructus), Chenpi (Aged Tangerine Peel) each 1 qian; Gancao (Licorice Root) 0.5 fen.
Use one zhong of water, add one portion of pig heart blood. Decoct to 0.8 zhong and drink. Self-heals after 4-5 doses. (From *Xindu Zhiji*)
Chronic Epilepsy
Use one pig heart that has never fallen into water. Remove internal blood. Insert 3 qian of Shegan (Belamcanda Chinensis Rhizome). Seal with mud and bake. When red, remove, preserve the medicinal property, and grind to powder. Take 3 qian per dose. Tested successfully many times. (From *Mifang Zongji*)
Attacked by Various Malevolent Influences
If a person is possessed, showing symptoms of coma, laughing/crying uncontrollably, or speaking ghostly words, quickly bind both thumbs together. Place a moxa cone between the nails at the fleshy base of the thumbs. Moxibustion: 7 or 17 cones. The evil influence will depart. If still comatose, use Mahuang (Ephedra Herb) 3 liang, Xingren (Apricot Seed) 70 grains, Gancao (Licorice Root) 1 liang. Decoct in 2 bowls of water until half remains, and force-feed. After recovery, continue administering tonics like Renshen (Ginseng Root) to support healthy qi. (From *Mifang Jiyuan*)
Shijue (Corpse-like Coma)
(Caused by visiting temples for mourning or sick calls)
Select Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root) weighing 7 qian. Soak, peel, remove navel and skin, grind to powder. Divide into two doses. For each dose, decoct in 3 cups of wine until reduced to 1 cup. If Fuzi is unavailable, use 0.5 cup of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) juice and 1 cup of vinegar, boil vigorously, and force-feed twice. The patient will awaken.
Cu jue (Sudden Collapse/Coma)
(Regardless of cause: wind-stroke, cold, summerheat, heat, malevolent influences, pathogenic qi, food stagnation, or phlegm)
Mix 1 zhong of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) juice and 1 zhong of Tongbian (Child's Urine). Take mixed. Consciousness returns immediately. (Single Formula)
Zhongdu Heartache (Sudden Heart Pain)
Apply the meat of a slaughtered white black-bone chicken to the heart area; immediate relief. If caused by "ghost strike," apply blood; also effective. (Li Shizhen's Formula)
Guijian Da (Strike by Ghost Arrow)
Tiexie (Iron Filings, fine and clean) 2 liang; Hetao (Walnut Kernel, clean meat) 1 jin; Taoren (Apricot Kernel) 8 liang.
Place in a ceramic vessel, add 4 jin of good wine. Simmer over hot water. Place glutinous rice on top; cook until soft. Take warm, as needed, at any time. Cover with blankets to induce sweating. Pain may increase slightly during administration but will gradually improve as the course completes. Do not stop due to initial pain. Alternative: Use fried Zhizi (Gardenia Fruit), fried flour, and 7 peach heads. Pound into a cake and apply externally. Next day, form 7 pills, throw into charcoal fire until they crackle; the condition cures. (From *Danfang Quanji*)
Shen Jian (Divine Arrow)
Gougou (Dog Bone, burnt to ash) 3 qian; Zhizi (Gardenia Fruit) 7; Feimian (Washed Wheat Flour) and Zao (Wine Lees) each 1 liang.
Mix with vinegar and apply externally. Do not puncture with needles.
Women's Disease Caused by Evil Influence
(Women interacting with evil spirits, talking/laughing alone, sad and absent-minded)
Xionghuang (Realgar) 1 liang, Songzhi (Pine Resin) 1 liang. Melt together, stir with tiger claws. Form pills the size of bullet seeds. Burn in a cage at night. Have the woman sit on the cage, cover with a blanket leaving the head exposed. The condition will cease within no more than three doses. Subsequently, mix equal parts of Xionghuang (Realgar), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), and Wuweizi (Schisandra Fruit) into powder. Take one fangcun bi (square inch spoonful) daily with well water in the morning. (From *Zhouhou Fang*)
