罗氏保生锭子 治疔疮、背疽、瘰 ，一切恶疮。
金脚信 轻粉（各二钱） 雄黄 砂（各三钱） 麝香（一钱半） 蟾酥（一钱） 巴豆（四十九粒，另
研，文武火炮，生用尤妙）
上为细末。用黄蜡五钱，溶开，将药和成锭子，冷水浸，少时取出，旋丸捏作饼子
如钱眼大。将疮头拨开，每用一饼，次用神圣膏，后用托里散。若疮气入腹危者，服破
棺丹。（世传疔疮必有一条红线可针，红线所至之处出毒血，然后敷药。）
滴滴金 治疔疮。
砂 轻粉 人言 雄黄 朱砂（各一钱） 麝香（少许）
上为细末。每用些少，先以针刺开疮头，贴药，黄水出效。
疔疮锭子
砂（一钱） 白芷 雄黄 苍耳子 甘草（各半钱）
上为细末，用蟾酥汁和作锭子，如前法用。须五月五日合。
回疮锭子 治疔疮大效。
草乌头（一两） 蟾酥（七粒） 巴豆（七个，去皮） 麝香（一字）
上为细末，面糊和就，捻作锭子。如有恶疮、透疔，不痛无血者，用针深刺至痛处，
有血出，以此锭子 之，上用膏药贴之。疔疮四畔 之，其疔三二日自然拔出，此药最
宜紧用。此证大抵与伤寒颇类，其中亦有可针镰砭射出血者，亦有久而败烂出脓者，其
间变异百端，不可不慎也。
神圣膏药（罗氏） 治一切恶疮。
当归 本（各半两） 没药 乳香（各二钱） 白芨 琥珀（各二钱半） 黄丹 黄蜡（各二两）
白胶香（三两） 巴豆（十五粒，去油） 木鳖子（五十个，去皮） 粉霜 胆矾（各一钱） 清油 槐、柳
枝（各一百二十枝）
上件一处，先将槐柳枝下在油内熬焦，取出。复下余药熬，勿至焦，滤出。却将油澄
清，下黄丹，再熬成膏。用绯帛摊之，立有神效。
《保命集》治疔疮夺命散
乌头尖 附子底 蝎梢 雌黄 雄黄（各一钱） 蜈蚣（一两） 砂 粉霜 轻粉（各五分）
砒（二钱半） 脑子 麝香（各少许）
上为细末。先破疮出恶血，以草杖头，用纸带药末插入于内，以深为度。
郭氏寸金锭子 治疔毒恶疮。
朱砂（三钱） 黄丹 明矾（枯） 砒霜 轻粉 花碱 白芨（各一钱半） 蟾酥 脑子 麝香
（各少许）
上研极细末，稠糊和为锭子，用之。
郭氏提疔锭子（又名透肉锭子） 治疔疮危笃，发昏，兼治瘰 。
雄黄 朱砂（各二钱） 青盐 砒霜（生） 白丁香 斑蝥（支翅足） 轻粉（各一钱五分） 蟾酥
麝香（各一钱） 黄蜡 蓖麻子（三七粒）
上为细末。于银器内或瓷器，先将蜡溶开，和前药丸，如桐子大，捻作饼子。用针
刺破疔疮，放一饼子于疮头上，又刺四边五七下，恶血出为妙。却用软膏药贴之，立验。
内服首功玄黑散，或蟾酥丸。
郭氏守效散 点疔疮恶肉
砒霜（生） 白丁香 松香 轻粉 川乌 生矾（各二钱） 蜈蚣（一条，焙干）
上为极细末。 针刺破疮口，令血出。唾津调药贴之疮上，其根自溃。
麝香蟾酥丸 治一切痈疽、发背、疔疮、内毒，如未破用针刺破，捻药在内，膏药贴
之，其疮即溃。
蟾酥 轻粉 乳香（各五分） 人言 雄黄（各一钱） 巴豆（十个，去皮油） 麝香（少许） 寒水
石（三钱）
上为细末。滴水为丸，作锭子如小麦粒大，量疮大小用之，寒食面糊为丸。
追毒丹 取黄，去疔头，追脓毒立效。
蟾酥（干用，酒化） 砂 白丁香（无此味，加巴豆） 轻粉（各一钱） 雄黄 朱砂（为衣，各二
钱）
蜈蚣（酒浸，炙干黄） 巴豆（七粒，去壳，不去油）
上总为细末，面调水为丸。如丸不就，用酒打面糊为丸，如麦大两头尖，入于针破口
内，用水沉膏贴之。后用膏药，及生肌药追出脓血毒物。又如有黑陷漏疮者，四围死败
肉不去不生肌者，不可治也，亦用此药追毒，去死肌败肉生新肉愈矣。小者用一粒，大者
加用之，病轻者不必用针，只以手指甲爬动，于疮顶上安此药，水沉膏贴之。其疮实时红
肿为度，去其败肉为妙。
水沉膏
将白芨末放在盏内，用水沉下去，用纸贴之，如用膏不可用生肌药。凡用拈点之药，
用此膏围贴则不伤好肉。
海马拔毒散 治疔疮大效，兼治恶疮、发背。
海马（二个，炙） 穿山甲（黄土炒，去土） 朱砂 水银（各一钱） 麝香 片脑（各少许） 雄黄（三
分）
上末。针破疮口，点药入内，一日一点，大有效。
芫花根膏 治鱼脐疔疮，久治不瘥者。
芫花根（一两） 黑豆（三合） 猪牙皂角（五 ） 白矾（三两， 研细）
上用醋一斗，将前三味，先浸三日，于釜中以火煎至二升，去粗。却入铛中煎至一
升，入白矾末搅令匀，去火成膏。但是鱼脐丹恶疮，摊于帛上贴，日二易之。
治鱼脐疔疮
韭菜 连须葱 丝瓜叶
上入石钵内，捣烂如泥。以酒和服，以滓贴腋下。如病在左手贴左腋下，右手贴右
腋下，在左脚贴左胯，右脚贴右胯。如在中贴心脐，并用布帛缚住，候肉下红丝处皆白
则可。如有潮热亦用此法，却用人抱住，恐其颤倒，倒则难救。
四圣旋疔散 治疔疮生于四肢，其势微者，先以好醋调药涂上，以纸封之。次服内
托里之药，其疔自旋出根。
巴豆仁（五分） 白僵蚕 轻粉 砂（各二钱半）
上为细末，醋调用之。
拔毒散 治疔疮。
蜈蚣（一条，炙） 盐白霜 粉霜 胆矾 砂（各一钱，另研）
上为末和匀。先用羊骨针挑破头，点药在上，醋糊纸粘贴，其根一时自出。
保生饼子 治诸疔等疮。
金脚信（二钱） 雄黄 砂（各三钱） 轻粉 麝香（各一钱） 巴豆（四十九，泡熟，去壳，研）
上为末，和匀。用黄蜡一两，饼和药成锭，水浸少时取出。用时始捻作饼，如钱眼
大。以羊角骨针挑疮头，按药在上，以醋糊纸贴之，膏药亦可，黄水出为效。
济生金砂散 取疔疮。
道人头（微炒存性，一两，即苍耳子） 砂（三钱半） 雄黄（三钱） 蟾酥（以多为妙）
上将疮四围刺破，以少油调药末置于疮内，绯帛封之，数日疔自出。如疮入腹呕逆
者，将苍耳捣汁饮之。（一方，但用 砂、雄黄等分，研细用蜜调。先破疮头去血，入药豆大在疮口内，
纸花贴之亦效。）
〔丹〕 日本三藏传疔疮方 江子肉十粒，半夏一大颗，研末；附子半枚，蜣螂一
枚，各为末。四味臭（麝香也）相和。看疮大小，以纸绳子围疮口，以药泥上。又用绢帛贴敷，
时换新药，以可为度。此方活人甚多。
铁罐膏 治一切恶疮、内毒，此药止痛，追死肉。
桑柴灰 荞麦秸灰 锻石（各一碗） 炭灰（少许）
上用瓦罐一个，底傍钻穴一个，塞住。将前项灰填在内，用水注满，浓纸封固一伏时，
用芦筒插在罐孔内淋之，尽其水，不用灰罐。将淋灰水于锅内慢火熬，用铁片续续搅，休
教爆定锅，稀稠滴在水内不散为度，用铁罐子盛之，封了口。或有诸般疮及肠风痔 ，量
疮用之妙。
〔济〕 蟾酥丹 治疔疮。取蟾酥以白面、黄丹，搜作剂，丸如麦粒状。针破患处，以
一粒纳之，（取蟾酥法∶用癞疤破眉棱上，以手捻出酥于油纸或桑叶上，用竹篦刮下，然后插在背阴处，
自干用之。）
又方 用针刀旋破疔头，以蟾酥敷之。后用。
野菊花 莎草根 红菜头叶
擂细，以无灰酒尽量调服之，酒醒疔化水，即痛定。如热除，不必去疔，亦自愈也。
铁粉散 专治冷疔疮，经久不效。
多年生铁（三钱，炒过） 松脂（一钱） 黄丹 轻粉（各五分） 麝香（少许）
上为细末。用清油调搽疮口，立效。
又方 治疔疮。
山茨菰 锅锈 生姜 江茶 盐（少许）
用银针拨开疔疮，即以前药搭作饼子，如大棋子，放疔头上。甚者半月皮皱可医，不
皱难治矣。
雄黄散 治疔疮。
雄黄 砂 苍耳草（烧灰）
上为末，醋调数次。将菊花捣烂、姜汁调，清者服之，浓者敷之。
追毒丸 治疔疮、发背。
蛤蟆粪（二分） 麻虫 雄黄 黄丹（各一分）
上为末，水丸如米大。将疮拨开头，入药在内，以膏药贴之。
三因苍耳散 治一切疔肿神效。用苍耳草根、茎、苗子，但取一色便可用。烧灰存
性研细，用好米醋、米泔澄定，和如泥。随疮大小涂上，浓二分，干即易之，不过十度，
即拔根出。须针破涂之。（更加雄黄尤妙。）
治一切疔肿，悬痈。
上用苍耳根、茎、苗，但取一束，烧为灰，醋、泔、蓝靛，和如泥，先以针刺疮上
及四边数下，令血出，度药气，可以入针孔中。即去血敷药，干即易之，不过数度，即
拔根出。其未结脓者，即内消也。已结脓破溃者，再不用针刺，只以药涂之。余以忽口
角上生疔肿，造甘子振家，母为贴药，经十日不瘥。予以此药涂之得愈。常作此药以救
人，无有不瘥者，故特以传后嗣。疔肿方殆有千首，皆不及此，虽齐州荣姥方，亦不能
胜此物造次易得也。
治一切疔肿
上用苍耳、草，又名羊负来草，只用根红嫩者，擂烂，无灰白酒调匀服；次用盐梅
肉研烂，以猪胆汁和涂疮顶上，其毒即散。又先用好京墨，以姜汁研烂，用姜片蘸墨，涂
四围肿热处，即效。一方，用苍耳根叶，童便绞取汁，令服一升，日三。或烧灰和腊月
猪脂敷。一方，用苗叶捣汁饮之。一方，用
子或叶或根研烂，以米醋脚调涂肿处立散，仍研汁服，以瘥为度。
治疔疮
上于九月九日，采芙蓉花叶，阴干，研细。用时以井花水调，银KT 打成膏，浓纸摊
贴疮上。次日用蝣蜒螺，即鬼丁螺一个，用银器盛，打破根据前调药，却将蝣蜒螺放在疮
上贴，待过周日揭起，其疔自出立效，其药不要摊阔。
治疔疮
上用多年墙内或泥土中锈钉。洗净，以炭火内 红醋淬，待冷用刀刮钉锈，又入火
内红，入醋淬，仍前刮末，再 再淬，再刮下未，研为细末。用时将疮口拨开，挑药
末在内，以膏药贴之少时。如病深取疔，如病浅即取出黑紫色血，其疮自愈。
拔疔法
以黑牯牛，牵于石塔上必撒粪，候粪上生菌，取焙干，与 签草叶等分，为细末。先
用竹筒两头去节，一头解十字路，将不解头套在疔上，以线紧缚，竹筒陷入肉内为度，以
前药末一匙，滴水和之，放于筒内少时，药滚起则疔自拔起。若一次未效，渐加度数，其
疔必拔也。
拔疔方 治疔疮不出者，用此药以拔出
之。
巴豆（半粒去壳） 磁石
上为末，用葱涎同蜜为膏，以敷疮上，疔疮自出。
神授疗疔肿方
以紧磁石为末。用酸醋调封于患处少时，力拔出疔神妙。
〔世〕 治疔疮 用麻内蛀虫一条，研敷疮上。却用膏药贴之，一饭时去膏药，其疔
自出。
麻虫膏 治疔疮。
上将麻虫一条捣烂，入好江茶，和作饼子如钱眼大。以羊角骨针挑疮头，按药在上，
醋糊纸贴之，膏药亦可，其毒出为效。
蜣螂膏 治疔毒。
蜣螂（三个，肚白者，佳） 黄麻虫（十个）
上二味捣匀，拨破患处贴之。如患在手足间，有红丝上臂，丝尽处将针挑断出血，仍
用前药。
愚按∶此方常用有效，如无麻虫亦效。毒盛者，更服败毒药。蜣螂即屎蚵螂也。
圣济方 治疔疮。
蜣螂（心腹下肉，稍白者）
上捕取不以多少，贴疮上半日许，未可，再上之。血尽根出神效。
治疔疮最有功效。用蝉蜕、僵蚕为末，酸醋调涂，四围留疮口，俟根出稍长，然后拔
去。再用药涂疮。海藏方，单用僵蚕为末，津调涂，亦佳。
又方 治疔疮。
螵蛸为末，敷头上，四边针刺碎红肿上，用铁锈水、紫花地丁草末，围四边肿上。即
紫花鹿蹄草。红肿外好肉上，用生姜自然汁，调船灰末，敷好肉上。
又方 治疔肿。
先以针拨破四畔中间，用海螵蛸末，水丸豆大敷于疮头上，再用箭头草末，敷四畔
红肉上。外又用旧船灰烧末，为生姜自然汁调敷后，再用湿丝绵贴，中间用手揭去疔盖，
再将螵蛸末，水调敷之。
又方 治疔疮。
大黄一大块及东壁土，汲新井水入于砂碗内，磨浓浓涂肿上。中心留一窍如钱眼大，
出热气，经宿立愈，如干再用水润之。
又方 治疔疮。
雄黄一钱，就瓦上 焦黄为末。以病患尿调敷疔上一时拔出。如发热欲死者，将大
黄、菊花研汁，灌上。若冬间取根捣汁亦可。
玉山韩光方 治疔肿。
上以艾蒿一担，烧作灰。于竹筒中淋取汁，以一二合和锻石如面浆。以针刺疮中至
痛，即点之。点三次其根自拔，亦大神效。正观中，用治三十余人得瘥。
〔衍〕 苦苣捣汁，敷疔疮殊验。青苗阴干，以备冬月，为末，水调敷。（《本草》云∶取
苦苣垄中白汁，敷疔肿出根。又取汁滴痈上，立溃。）
疔疮，用白蔹为末，水调敷之。（《圣惠方》）
〔圣〕 治疔疮。甚者用附子末，醋和涂之，干再涂。（《千金方》同。）
〔丹〕 琥珀膏（方见痈疽下杂方条。）
罗氏保生锭子：治疗疔疮、背疽、瘰疬，以及一切恶疮。
配方：金脚信（即砒霜）、轻粉（各二钱），雄黄、朱砂（各三钱），麝香（一钱半），蟾酥（一钱），巴豆（四十九粒，单独研磨，用文火武火炮制，生用效果更佳）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末。取五钱黄蜡熔化，将药粉混合其中制成锭子，放入冷水中浸泡，稍后取出，随即搓丸捏成如铜钱眼大小的饼状。将疮口挑开，每次使用一块药饼，随后敷上神圣膏，最后使用托里散。如果疮毒内攻入腹导致病情危急，服用破棺丹。（民间流传说法认为疔疮必有一条红线，可用针刺破红线尽头处放出毒血，然后再敷药。）
滴滴金：治疗疔疮。
配方：朱砂、轻粉、人言（即砒霜）、雄黄、朱砂（各一钱），麝香（少许）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末。每次取少量，先用针刺破疮口，贴上药物，流出黄色脓水即为有效。
疔疮锭子
配方：朱砂（一钱），白芷、雄黄、苍耳子、甘草（各半钱）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末，用蟾酥汁调和制成锭子，使用方法同上。必须在农历五月五日制作。
回疮锭子：治疗疔疮效果显著。
配方：草乌头（一两），蟾酥（七粒），巴豆（七个，去皮），麝香（一字）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末，用面糊调和捻制成锭子。如果遇到恶疮或透发之疔，不痛且无出血者，用针深刺至感到疼痛的部位，见血出后，将此锭子填入，上面再用膏药贴敷。在疔疮四周涂抹此药，大约两三天后疔根自然拔出，此药最适合紧急使用。这种病症大体上与伤寒相似，其中也有可以用针、镰或砭石放血治疗的，也有日久溃烂流脓的，其间变化多端，不可不谨慎对待。
神圣膏药（罗氏）：治疗一切恶疮。
配方：当归、藁本（各半两），没药、乳香（各二钱），白芨、琥珀（各二钱半），黄丹、黄蜡（各二两），白胶香（三两），巴豆（十五粒，去油），木鳖子（五十个，去皮），粉霜、胆矾（各一钱），清油，槐枝、柳枝（各一百二十枝）。
制法与用法：将上述药材放在一起，先将槐枝和柳枝放入油中熬至焦黑，取出。再放入其余药物熬制，注意不要熬焦，过滤掉药渣。待油澄清后，加入黄丹，再次熬制成膏。用红色丝帛摊涂此膏，立即显现神效。
《保命集》治疔疮夺命散
配方：乌头尖、附子底、全蝎梢、雌黄、雄黄（各一钱），蜈蚣（一两），朱砂、粉霜、轻粉（各五分），砒（二钱半），冰片、麝香（各少许）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末。先刺破疮口放出恶血，用草杖头蘸取纸裹的药末插入疮口内，以深入为度。
郭氏寸金锭子：治疗疔毒恶疮。
配方：朱砂（三钱），黄丹、明矾（枯矾）、砒霜、轻粉、花碱、白芨（各一钱半），蟾酥、冰片、麝香（各少许）。
制法与用法：研磨成极细末，用稠厚的面糊调和制成锭子，使用即可。
郭氏提疔锭子（又名透肉锭子）：治疗危重疔疮，伴有神志昏沉，兼治瘰疬。
配方：雄黄、朱砂（各二钱），青盐、砒霜（生品）、白丁香、斑蝥（去翅足）、轻粉（各一钱五分），蟾酥、麝香（各一钱），黄蜡、蓖麻子（三七粒）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末。在银器或瓷器内，先将黄蜡熔化，与前药混合搓丸，如梧桐子大小，捻成饼状。用针刺破疔疮，放一块药饼在疮头上，再在四周刺五到七下，以流出恶血为妙。然后用软膏贴敷，立即见效。内服首功玄黑散，或蟾酥丸。
郭氏守效散：点涂疔疮恶肉。
配方：砒霜（生品）、白丁香、松香、轻粉、川乌、生矾（各二钱），蜈蚣（一条，焙干）。
制法与用法：研成极细末。用针刺破疮口，令其出血。用唾液调制药粉贴在疮上，疮根自会溃烂脱落。
麝香蟾酥丸：治疗一切痈疽、发背、疔疮、内毒。如果未破溃，用针刺破，将药捻入内部，用膏药贴敷，疮口即刻溃破。
配方：蟾酥、轻粉、乳香（各五分），人言（即砒霜）、雄黄（各一钱），巴豆（十个，去皮去油），麝香（少许），寒水石（三钱）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末。滴水泛丸，做成如小麦粒大小的锭子，根据疮口大小选用，用寒食面糊作为粘合剂制丸。
追毒丹：提取黄水，去除疔头，排出脓毒立竿见影。
配方：蟾酥（干用，酒化开），朱砂、白丁香（若无此味，加巴豆替代）、轻粉（各一钱），雄黄、朱砂（作为衣料，各二钱），蜈蚣（酒浸，炙至干黄），巴豆（七粒，去壳，不去油）。
制法与用法：将所有药物总合研成细末，用面调水制成丸。如果丸不成形，用酒打面糊制丸，形状如麦粒两头尖，放入针刺破的口内，用水沉膏贴敷。之后使用膏药及生肌药，追出脓血毒物。另外，如果有黑陷漏疮，周围死败肉不去则新肉不生者，无法治愈，但也应用此药追毒，去除死肌败肉，生长新肉而痊愈。小的用一粒，大的增加用量，病轻的不必用针，只需用手指甲抓动，在疮顶安放此药，用水沉膏贴敷。以疮口实时红肿为度，去除败肉为妙。
水沉膏
将白芨末放在盏内，用水沉淀下去，用纸贴敷。如果使用此膏，不可同时使用生肌药。凡是用拈线点涂的药物，用此膏围贴则可以保护健康组织不受损伤。
海马拔毒散：治疗疔疮效果显著，兼治恶疮、发背。
配方：海马（二个，炙烤），穿山甲（黄土炒，去土），朱砂、水银（各一钱），麝香、冰片（各少许），雄黄（三分）。
制法与用法：研成粉末。针刺破疮口，点药入内，每天点一次，效果很大。
芫花根膏：治疗鱼脐疔疮，久治不愈者。
配方：芫花根（一两），黑豆（三合），猪牙皂角（五个），白矾（三两，研磨细）。
制法与用法：用醋一斗，将前三味药先浸泡三天，在釜中以火煎至二升，滤去粗渣。再倒入铛中煎至一升，加入白矾末搅拌均匀，离火即成膏。凡是鱼脐丹等恶疮，摊涂在帛上贴敷，每天更换两次。
治鱼脐疔疮
配方：韭菜、连须葱、丝瓜叶。
制法与用法：放入石钵内，捣烂如泥。用酒调和内服，药渣贴敷于腋下。如果病在左手贴左腋下，右手贴右腋下；在左脚贴左胯部，右脚贴右胯部。如果在中间，贴在心脐处，并用布帛缚住，等到肌肉下的红丝全部变白即可。如果有潮热也使用此法，但需让人抱住患者，防止其颤抖跌倒，跌倒则难以救治。
四圣旋疔散：治疗生于四肢的疔疮，势态轻微者。先用好醋调药涂上，用纸封住。接着服用内托里气的药物，疔疮自然会旋转拔出根部。
配方：巴豆仁（五分），白僵蚕、轻粉、朱砂（各二钱半）。
制法与用法：研成细末，用醋调和使用。
拔毒散：治疗疔疮。
配方：蜈蚣（一条，炙烤），盐白霜、粉霜、胆矾、朱砂（各一钱，单独研磨）。
制法与用法：研成粉末混合均匀。先用羊骨针挑破疮头，点上药物，用醋糊纸粘贴，疔根一时自然拔出。
保生饼子：治疗各种疔疮等。
配方：金脚信（二钱），雄黄、朱砂（各三钱），轻粉、麝香（各一钱），巴豆（四十九粒，泡熟，去壳，研磨）。
制法与用法：研成粉末，混合均匀。用一两黄蜡，和药制成锭子，水中浸泡片刻后取出。用时才捻成饼状，如铜钱眼大小。用羊角骨针挑开疮头，按药在上面，用醋糊纸贴敷，也可用膏药，流出黄水为有效。
济生金砂散：提取疔疮。
配方：道人头（微炒存性，一两，即苍耳子），朱砂（三钱半），雄黄（三钱），蟾酥（越多越好）。
制法与用法：先将疮口四周刺破，用少量油调药末置于疮内，用红色丝帛封住，数日后疔疮自然拔出。如果疮毒入腹出现呕吐逆气，将苍耳捣汁饮用。（另一方法，只用朱砂、雄黄等分，研细用蜜调。先破疮头去血，放入如药豆大小的药在疮口内，用纸花贴敷也有效。）
〔丹〕日本三藏传疔疮方：江子肉十粒，半夏一大颗，研成末；附子半枚，蜣螂一枚，分别研成末。四种气味相和（指加入麝香）。观察疮口大小，用纸绳围绕疮口，将药泥敷在上面。再用绢帛贴敷，时常更换新药，以痊愈为度。此方救活很多人。
铁罐膏：治疗一切恶疮、内毒，此药止痛，去除死肉。
配方：桑柴灰、荞麦秸灰、锻石（各一碗），炭灰（少许）。
制法与用法：用一个瓦罐，底部旁边钻一个孔并塞住。将前述灰填在内，注满水，用厚纸密封固定一个时辰（两小时），用芦筒插在罐孔内淋滤水分，沥尽水后，不再使用灰罐。将淋出的灰水在锅内用慢火熬制，用铁片不断搅拌，不要让锅爆定，以稀稠度滴在水内不散为限度，用铁罐盛装，封口。如果有各种疮疡及肠风痔疾，根据疮口情况使用效果奇妙。
〔济〕蟾酥丹：治疗疔疮。取蟾酥，用白面、黄丹，揉搓成药剂，丸如麦粒状。针刺破患处，纳入一粒。（取蟾酥的方法：用癞蛤蟆打破眉棱上方，用手捻出酥液于油纸或桑叶上，用竹篦刮下，然后插在背阴处，自然干燥后使用。）
又一方：用针刀旋破疔头，敷上蟾酥。之后……
野菊花、莎草根、红菜头叶
研磨细，用无灰酒尽量调和服用，酒醒后疔疮化为水，疼痛即止。如果热象消除，不必去除疔根，也会自愈。
铁粉散：专治冷疔疮，经久不愈者。
配方：多年生铁（三钱，炒过），松脂（一钱），黄丹、轻粉（各五分），麝香（少许）。
制法与用法：研成细末。用清油调和搽擦疮口，立见疗效。
又一方：治疗疔疮。
配方：山茨菰、锅锈、生姜、江茶、盐（少许）。
制法与用法：用银针拨开疔疮，即用前药搭成饼状，如大棋子大小，放在疔头上。严重的半个月皮皱可医，不皱则难治。
雄黄散：治疗疔疮。
配方：雄黄、朱砂、苍耳草（烧灰）。
制法与用法：研成末，用醋调涂数次。将菊花捣烂，姜汁调和，清的服用，浓的敷贴。
追毒丸：治疗疔疮、发背。
配方：蛤蟆粪（二分），麻虫、雄黄、黄丹（各一分）。
制法与用法：研成末，水丸如米粒大小。将疮口挑开头，将药放入内部，用膏药贴敷。
三因苍耳散：治疗一切疔肿神效。使用苍耳草根、茎、苗子，只要取同一颜色的即可使用。烧灰存性研细，用好米醋、米泔水澄清后，调和如泥。随疮口大小涂上，厚度二分，干了就更换，不超过十次，就能拔出根部。必须针刺破后涂药。（再加雄黄效果更佳。）
治一切疔肿，悬痈。
使用苍耳根、茎、苗，取一束，烧为灰，用醋、米泔水、蓝靛，调和如泥。先以针刺疮上及四周数次，令血出，估计药气可以进入针孔中。即去掉血敷药，干了就更换，不超过数次，就能拔出根部。未结脓的，自行内消。已结脓破溃的，不再用针刺，只用药涂之。我忽然口角上生疔肿，造甘子振家，母亲为我贴药，经过十天未愈。我用此药涂之得愈。常制作此药救人，没有不愈的，所以特别传授给后代。治疗疔肿的方子大概有上千首，都不如这个，即使是齐州荣姥的方子，也不能胜过此物容易获得。
治一切疔肿
使用苍耳草，又名羊负来草，只用根红嫩者，捣烂，用无灰白酒调匀服用；其次用盐梅肉研烂，用猪胆汁调和涂在疮顶上，毒性即散。又先用好京墨，用姜汁研烂，用姜片蘸墨，涂在四周肿热处，即见效。另一方法，用苍耳根叶，童便绞取汁，令服用一升，每天三次。或者烧灰和腊月猪脂敷贴。另一方法，用苗叶捣汁饮服。另一方法，用苍耳子或叶或根研烂，用米醋脚调涂肿处立散，仍研汁服用，以痊愈为度。
治疔疮
在九月九日，采集芙蓉花叶，阴干，研细。用时用井花水调和，银匙打成膏，厚纸摊贴疮上。次日用蝣蜒螺，即鬼丁螺一个，用银器盛，打破根据前法调药，却将蝣蜒螺放在疮上贴，等待过周日揭起，其疔自然拔出立效，此药不要摊得太宽。
治疔疮
使用多年墙内或泥土中的锈钉。洗净，在炭火内烧红后淬入醋中，待冷用刀刮下钉锈，又入火内烧红，入醋淬，仍然刮下末，再烧再淬，再刮下末，研为细末。用时将疮口拨开，挑药末在内，以膏药贴敷少时。如果病深取疔，如果病浅即取出黑紫色血，其疮自愈。
拔疔法
牵一头黑公牛到石塔上，它必定会撒粪，等候粪便上长出菌类，取出来焙干，与签草叶等分，研为细末。先用竹筒两头去节，一头解开十字路，将不解头套在疔上，用线紧缚，竹筒陷入肉内为度，以前药末一匙，滴水调和，放入筒内少时，药滚起则疔自拔起。如果一次未效，逐渐增加次数，其疔必然拔出。
拔疔方：治疗疔疮不出者，用此药以拔出。
配方：巴豆（半粒去壳），磁石。
制法与用法：研成末，用葱涎同蜜制成膏，敷在疮上，疔疮自出。
神授疗疔肿方
用紧实的磁石研成末。用酸醋调封于患处少时，强力拔出疔疮神妙。
〔世〕治疔疮：用麻内蛀虫一条，研敷疮上。却用膏药贴之，一顿饭的时间去掉膏药，其疔自出。
麻虫膏：治疗疔疮。
将麻虫一条捣烂，入好江茶，和作饼子如铜钱眼大。用羊角骨针挑疮头，按药在上，醋糊纸贴之，膏药亦可，其毒出为效。
蜣螂膏：治疗疔毒。
配方：蜣螂（三个，肚白者佳），黄麻虫（十个）。
制法与用法：将这两味药捣匀，拨破患处贴之。如果患处在手足间，有红丝上臂，在丝尽处将针挑断出血，仍用前药。
愚按：此方常用有效，如无麻虫也有效。毒盛者，更服败毒药。蜣螂即屎壳郎也。
圣济方：治疗疔疮。
配方：蜣螂（心腹下肉，稍白者）。
制法与用法：捕捉取用不限多少，贴疮上半日许，未可，再上之。血尽根出神效。
治疔疮最有功效。用蝉蜕、僵蚕为末，酸醋调涂，四围留疮口，俟根出稍长，然后拔去。再用药涂疮。海藏方，单用僵蚕为末，津调涂，亦佳。
又方：治疗疔疮。
海螵蛸为末，敷头上，四边针刺碎红肿上，用铁锈水、紫花地丁草末，围四边肿上。即紫花鹿蹄草。红肿外好肉上，用生姜自然汁，调船灰末，敷好肉上。
又方：治疗疔肿。
先以针拨破四畔中间，用海螵蛸末，水丸豆大敷于疮头上，再用箭头草末，敷四畔红肉上。外又用旧船灰烧末，为生姜自然汁调敷后，再用湿丝绵贴，中间用手揭去疔盖，再将螵蛸末，水调敷之。
又方：治疗疔疮。
大黄一大块及东壁土，汲新井水入于砂碗内，磨浓浓涂肿上。中心留一窍如钱眼大，出热气，经宿立愈，如干再用水润之。
又方：治疗疔疮。
雄黄一钱，就瓦上烧焦黄为末。以病患尿调敷疔上一时拔出。如发热欲死者，将大黄、菊花研汁，灌上。若冬间取根捣汁亦可。
玉山韩光方：治疗疔肿。
以上艾蒿一担，烧作灰。于竹筒中淋取汁，以一二合和锻石如面浆。以针刺疮中至痛，即点之。点三次其根自拔，亦大神效。正观中，用治三十余人得瘥。
〔衍〕苦苣捣汁，敷疔疮殊验。青苗阴干，以备冬月，为末，水调敷。（《本草》云：取苦苣垄中白汁，敷疔肿出根。又取汁滴痈上，立溃。）
Luo's Baosheng Dingzi: Treats ding sores (furuncles), back carbuncles, scrofula, and all kinds of malignant ulcers.
Ingredients: Jinjiaoxin (Realgar mixed with arsenic trioxide), Qingfen (Calomel) (each 2 qian), Xionghuang (Realgar), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (each 3 qian), Shexiang (Musk) (1.5 qian), Chansu (Toad Venom) (1 qian), Badou (Croton Seed) (49 seeds, ground separately, processed with mild and strong heat; raw use is preferable).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Melt 5 qian of yellow beeswax, mix with the powder to form "ding" (solid dosage forms), soak in cold water for a short time, then take out and roll/mold into cakes the size of a coin hole. Puncture the sore head, apply one cake each time, followed by Shensheng Gao (Divine Holy Ointment), and finally Tuoli San (Supporting Interior Powder). If the toxin invades the abdomen causing critical condition, administer Po Guan Dan (Breaking Coffin Pill). (It is said that ding sores always have a red line; prick the end of the red line to release toxic blood before applying medicine.)
Didi Jin: Treats ding sores.
Ingredients: Zhusha (Cinnabar), Qingfen (Calomel), Renyan (Arsenic Trioxide), Xionghuang (Realgar), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (each 1 qian), Shexiang (Musk) (a small amount).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into a fine powder. Take a small amount each time, first puncture the sore head with a needle, apply the medicine. Effect is indicated by the discharge of yellow fluid.
Dingchuang Dingzi (Ding Sore Solid Dosage Form)
Ingredients: Zhusha (Cinnabar) (1 qian), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Xionghuang (Realgar), Cang'erzi (Xanthii Fructus), Gancao (Licorice Root) (each 0.5 qian).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into a fine powder, mix with Chansu (Toad Venom) juice to form solid dosage forms, use as described above. Must be prepared on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.
Huichuang Dingzi (Returning Wound Solid Dosage Form): Highly effective for ding sores.
Ingredients: Caowutou (Aconitum Carmichaelii Lateral Root) (1 liang), Chansu (Toad Venom) (7 grains), Badou (Croton Seed) (7 seeds, peeled), Shexiang (Musk) (1 zi).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into a fine powder, mix with wheat paste to mold into solid dosage forms. For malignant ulcers or penetrating ding sores that are painless and non-bleeding, pierce deeply with a needle until pain is felt and blood appears. Insert this solid dosage form, cover with an ointment plaster. Apply around the four sides of the ding sore; the root will naturally extract within two to three days. This medicine is best used urgently. This condition is generally similar to Shanghan (Cold Damage Syndrome); some cases can be treated by pricking, lancing, or using stone needles to bleed, while others may suppurate after a long time. Variations are numerous, so caution is essential.
Shensheng Gaoyao (Divine Holy Plaster) (Luo's): Treats all kinds of malignant ulcers.
Ingredients: Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Bencao (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 0.5 liang), Moyao (Myrrha), Ruxiang (Olibanum) (each 2 qian), Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma), Hupo (Amber) (each 2.5 qian), Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide), Huangla (Yellow Beeswax) (each 2 liang), Baijiaoxiang (Pistacia Resin) (3 liang), Badou (Croton Seed) (15 seeds, oil removed), Muguzi (Semen Bischoffiae), Fenshuang (White Arsenite), Danfan (Alumen) (each 1 qian), Qingyou (Clear Vegetable Oil), Huaizhi (Branches of Sophora Japonica), Liuzhi (Branches of Salix Alba) (each 120 branches).
Preparation and Administration: Place all ingredients together. First, fry the Huai and Liu branches in the oil until charred, then remove. Add the remaining herbs and simmer, being careful not to burn. Filter out the dregs. Clarify the oil, add Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide), and simmer again to form the ointment. Spread onto crimson silk. It produces miraculous effects immediately.
Baoming Ji's Duoming San for Treating Ding Sores
Ingredients: Wutoujian (Tip of Aconitum), Fuzidi (Base of Aconitum lateral root), Xieshao (Tail of Scorpion), Cihuang (Orpiment), Xionghuang (Realgar) (each 1 qian), Wugong (Centipede) (1 liang), Zhusha (Cinnabar), Fenshuang (White Arsenite), Qingfen (Calomel) (each 0.5 qian), Pi (Arsenic) (2.5 qian), Naobi (Borneol), Shexiang (Musk) (small amounts).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into a fine powder. First break the sore to release bad blood. Use a grass stick tip to insert paper-wrapped powder deep into the wound.
Guo's Cunjin Dingzi: Treats ding toxicity and malignant ulcers.
Ingredients: Zhusha (Cinnabar) (3 qian), Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide), Mingfan (Alumen calcined), Pisuan (Arsenic Trioxide), Qingfen (Calomel), Huajian (Flower Alkali), Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma) (each 1.5 qian), Chansu (Toad Venom), Naobi (Borneol), Shexiang (Musk) (small amounts).
Preparation and Administration: Grind to an extremely fine powder, mix with thick paste to form solid dosage forms. Use as needed.
Guo's Ti Ding Dingzi (also known as Tou Rou Dingzi): Treats critical ding sores with coma, and also scrofula.
Ingredients: Xionghuang (Realgar), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (each 2 qian), Qingyan (Green Salt), Pisuan (Raw Arsenic Trioxide), Baidingxiang (Stolephorus), Banmao (Mylabris, wings and feet removed), Qingfen (Calomel) (each 1.5 qian), Chansu (Toad Venom), Shexiang (Musk) (each 1 qian), Huangla (Yellow Beeswax), Bamazi (Ricini Semen) (21-27 seeds).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into a fine powder. In a silver or porcelain vessel, melt the wax first, mix with the herbs, roll into pills the size of paulownia seeds, and mold into cakes. Pierce the ding sore with a needle, place one cake on the sore head, and prick the surrounding area five to seven times until bad blood flows. Cover with soft ointment. Immediate effect. Internally administer Shougong Xuanhei San or Chansu Wan.
Guo's Shouxiao San: Points at malignant flesh in ding sores.
Ingredients: Pisuan (Raw Arsenic Trioxide), Baidingxiang (Stolephorus), Songxiang (Pine Rosin), Qingfen (Calomel), Chuanwu (Aconitum Carmichaelii), Shengfan (Raw Alumen) (each 2 qian), Wugong (Centipede) (one, roasted dry).
Preparation and Administration: Grind to an extremely fine powder. Pierce the sore with a needle to let blood flow. Mix with saliva and apply to the sore; the root will naturally ulcerate and fall off.
Shexiang Chansu Wan: Treats all abscesses, back carbuncles, ding sores, and internal toxins. If unbroken, pierce with a needle, insert the medicine, and cover with a plaster to induce suppuration.
Ingredients: Chansu (Toad Venom), Qingfen (Calomel), Ruxiang (Olibanum) (each 0.5 qian), Renyan (Arsenic Trioxide), Xionghuang (Realgar) (each 1 qian), Badou (Croton Seed) (10 seeds, peeled and de-oiled), Shexiang (Musk) (small amount), Hanshuishi (Calcite) (3 qian).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into a fine powder. Make pills with water drops, forming solid dosage forms the size of wheat grains. Use according to the size of the sore. Bind with Han Shi Mian (cold food dough) paste.
Zuidu Dan: Extracts yellow fluid, removes the ding head, and expels pus/toxin with immediate effect.
Ingredients: Chansu (Toad Venom, dry, dissolved in wine), Zhusha (Cinnabar), Baidingxiang (Stolephorus) (if unavailable, add Badou), Qingfen (Calomel) (each 1 qian), Xionghuang (Realgar), Zhusha (Cinnabar, used as coating) (each 2 qian), Wugong (Centipede, soaked in wine, roasted dry yellow), Badou (Croton Seed) (7 seeds, shelled, oil not removed).
Preparation and Administration: Grind all into a fine powder. Mix with flour paste and water to make pills. If they do not hold shape, use wine and flour paste. Shape like wheat grains with pointed ends. Insert into the pierced sore, cover with Shui Chen Gao (Water-Sinking Ointment). Later use plasters and flesh-regenerating medicines to expel pus, blood, and toxins. For black sunken leaking sores where dead tissue prevents new growth, this medicine is still used to expel toxins and remove dead tissue to promote healing. Use one pill for small sores, more for large ones. For mild cases, no need to pierce; simply scratch the top with fingernails, place the medicine, and cover with Shui Chen Gao. Stop when the sore becomes red and swollen, ideally removing necrotic tissue.
Shui Chen Gao (Water-Sinking Ointment)
Place Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma) powder in a cup, let it settle with water, and apply with paper. Do not use flesh-regenerating medicines if using this ointment. When using medicated threads or point applications, surround with this ointment to protect healthy tissue.
Haima Budu San: Highly effective for ding sores, also treats malignant ulcers and back carbuncles.
Ingredients: Haima (Sea Horse) (two, roasted), Chanshunjia (Pangolin Scale, fried in yellow earth, cleaned), Zhusha (Cinnabar), Shuiyin (Mercury) (each 1 qian), Shexiang (Musk), Pian Nao (Borneol) (small amounts), Xionghuang (Realgar) (0.3 qian).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into powder. Pierce the sore, apply medicine inside. Apply once daily for great effect.
Yuanhua Gen Gao: Treats Yuqi Ding Sores (fish-umbilicus ding sores) that have not healed after prolonged treatment.
Ingredients: Yuanhua Gen (Radix Daphnes Genkwa) (1 liang), Heidou (Black Soybean) (3 he), Zhuya Zaojiao (Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit) (five), Baifan (Alumen) (3 liang, finely ground).
Preparation and Administration: Soak the first three ingredients in one dou of vinegar for three days. Boil in a cauldron down to two sheng, filter coarse residue. Decoct further in a pan down to one sheng, add Baifan powder, stir evenly, remove from heat to form ointment. Spread on silk for any Yuqi Dan or malignant ulcer, change twice daily.
Treatment for Yuqi Ding Sore
Ingredients: Jiucai (Chinese Chives), Lianxu Cong (Scallions with roots), Siguye (Leaf of Loofah).
Preparation and Administration: Pound in a stone mortar into a paste. Mix with wine for oral administration; apply the dregs to the axilla. Left hand disease -> left axilla; right hand -> right axilla; left foot -> left groin; right foot -> right groin. If in the center, apply to heart/navel area and bind tightly. Wait until red threads under the skin turn white. For tidal fever, use this method but hold the patient to prevent falling, which would be hard to rescue.
Sixiang Xuanding San: Treats ding sores on limbs with mild severity. First apply medicine mixed with good vinegar, seal with paper. Then take internal medicine to support the interior; the ding root will naturally rotate out.
Ingredients: Badou Ren (Croton Seed Kernel) (0.5 qian), Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), Qingfen (Calomel), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (each 2.5 qian).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into fine powder, use with vinegar.
Budu San: Treats ding sores.
Ingredients: Wugong (Centipede) (one, roasted), Yan Baishuang (Salted White Arsenite), Fenshuang (White Arsenite), Danfan (Alumen), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (each 1 qian, ground separately).
Preparation and Administration: Mix powders evenly. First pierce the sore head with a sheep bone needle, apply medicine, paste with vinegar-paste paper. The root will emerge instantly.
Baosheng Bingzi: Treats various ding sores.
Ingredients: Jinjiaoxin (2 qian), Xionghuang (Realgar), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (each 3 qian), Qingfen (Calomel), Shexiang (Musk) (each 1 qian), Badou (Croton Seed) (49 seeds, soaked cooked, shelled, ground).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into powder, mix evenly. Use 1 liang yellow beeswax to form solid dosage forms, soak in water briefly. Mold into cakes the size of a coin hole only when using. Pierce sore head with sheep horn bone needle, press medicine on top, cover with vinegar-paste paper (plaster also works). Yellow discharge indicates efficacy.
Jisheng Jinsha San: Extracts ding sores.
Ingredients: Daoren Tou (Daoist Head, lightly roasted to retain nature, 1 liang, i.e., Cang'erzi/Xanthii Fructus), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (3.5 qian), Xionghuang (Realgar) (3 qian), Chansu (Toad Venom) (more is better).
Preparation and Administration: Pierce around the sore, mix powder with a little oil, place inside, seal with crimson silk. After several days, the ding emerges. If toxin enters abdomen causing vomiting, drink juice of crushed Cang'erzi. (Alternative: Equal parts Zhusha and Xionghuang, ground fine, mixed with honey. Break sore head, remove blood, insert pill-sized dose, cover with paper flower; also effective.)
[Dan] Japanese Sanzang's Formula for Ding Sores: Jiangzi Rou (Seed of Croton) ten grains, Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) one large piece, ground to powder; Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata) half a piece, Qianglang (Scarabaeus) one piece, each ground to powder. Mix these four with Shexiang (Musk). Measure the sore size, wrap a paper string around the sore, apply the medicine mud. Cover with silk, replace medicine frequently until healed. This formula has saved many lives.
Tie Guan Gao (Iron Pot Ointment): Treats all malignant ulcers and internal toxins; relieves pain and removes dead tissue.
Ingredients: Sangchaihui (Ash of Mulberry Branches), Qiaomaijiehui (Ash of Buckwheat Straw), Duanshi (Burnt Alum), Tanhui (Charcoal Ash) (small amount) (each one bowl of Sangchaihui, etc.).
Preparation and Administration: Take a clay pot, drill a hole near the bottom, and plug it. Fill with the ashes, fill with water, seal thickly with paper for one fushi (two hours). Insert a reed tube into the hole to drip/filter the water. Discard the ash/pot. Slowly boil the filtered ash water in a pot, stirring continuously with an iron sheet to prevent sticking/burning. Stop when the consistency does not disperse when dropped in water. Store in an iron pot, sealed. Effective for various sores and intestinal wind hemorrhoids.
[Ji] Chansu Dan: Treats ding sores. Take Chansu (Toad Venom), mix with white flour and Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide) to form a dough, roll into pills the size of wheat grains. Pierce the affected area, insert one pill. (Method to obtain Chansu: Break the brow ridge of a toad, squeeze venom onto oil paper or mulberry leaf, scrape off with bamboo comb, hang in shade to dry.)
Another Method: Pierce the ding head with a needle/knife, apply Chansu. Then...
Ye Ju Hua (Wild Chrysanthemum Flower), Suo Cao Gen (Cyperus Rotundus Rhizome), Hong Caitou Ye (Leaf of Beta Vulgaris)
Grind fine, mix thoroughly with pure wine for oral administration. Upon waking from intoxication, the ding dissolves into water, pain stops. If heat clears, no need to remove the root; it will heal itself.
Tiefen San: Specifically treats cold ding sores that have persisted without effect.
Ingredients: Duonian Shengtie (Old Iron, 3 qian, fried), Songzhi (Pine Resin) (1 qian), Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide), Qingfen (Calomel) (each 0.5 qian), Shexiang (Musk) (small amount).
Preparation and Administration: Grind to fine powder. Mix with clear vegetable oil and apply to the sore. Immediate effect.
Another Method: Treats ding sores.
Ingredients: Shancigu (Colchicum Autumnale Corm), Guoxiu (Pot Rust), Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger), Jiangcha (River Tea), Yan (Salt) (small amount).
Preparation and Administration: Use a silver needle to open the ding sore. Form the medicine into a cake the size of a large chess piece, place on the ding head. Severe cases may heal in half a week if skin wrinkles; if not, difficult to treat.
Xionghuang San: Treats ding sores.
Ingredients: Xionghuang (Realgar), Zhusha (Cinnabar), Cang'er Cao (Xanthium Strumarium Herb, burned to ash).
Preparation and Administration: Grind to powder, mix with vinegar for multiple applications. Pound chrysanthemum flowers, mix with ginger juice. Drink the clear liquid, apply the thick residue.
Zuidu Wan: Treats ding sores and back carbuncles.
Ingredients: Hamafen (Toad Feces) (2 fen), Machong (Silkworm Moth Larva?), Xionghuang (Realgar), Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide) (each 1 fen).
Preparation and Administration: Grind to powder, make water pills the size of rice grains. Open the sore head, insert medicine, cover with plaster.
Sanyin Cang'er San: Highly effective for all ding swellings. Use roots, stems, leaves of Cang'erzi (Xanthium). Any single color is acceptable. Burn to ash retaining nature, grind fine. Mix with good rice vinegar and clarified rice wash water to form a paste. Apply according to sore size, thickness 2 fen. Replace when dry. Within ten applications, the root extracts. Must pierce before application. (Adding Xionghuang is even better.)
Treatment for all ding swellings and hanging abscesses.
Use Cang'er root, stem, leaves, bundle them, burn to ash. Mix with vinegar, rice wash water, and indigo to form a paste. Pierce the sore and surroundings several times to let blood out. Estimate that the medicinal qi can enter the needle holes. Remove blood, apply medicine, replace when dry. Within a few applications, the root extracts. Un-suppurated lesions resolve internally. Suppurated/ruptured lesions do not require piercing, just apply medicine. I once had a ding swelling on the corner of my mouth; despite ten days of treatment by another, it did not heal. Using this medicine cured me. I often make this to save people, never failing. Thus, I pass it to descendants. There are nearly a thousand formulas for ding sores, none superior to this, easily obtained even compared to famous formulas.
Treatment for all ding swellings
Use Cang'er herb (also called Yangfulai Cao), only tender red roots. Pound fine, mix with pure wine for oral administration. Next, pound salt plum meat, mix with pig bile, apply to the top of the sore; toxicity dissipates. Alternatively, use high-quality Beijing ink, grind with ginger juice, dip ginger slice in ink, apply to swollen/hot areas. Another method: Crush Cang'er root/leaves, squeeze juice with child's urine, drink one sheng, three times daily. Or burn to ash and mix with December pig fat for topical application. Another method: Juice of leaves/stems drunk. Another method: Crush seed/leaf/root, mix with rice vinegar residue to apply to swelling, also drink juice until healed.
Treatment for Ding Sores
On the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, collect Hibiscus mutabilis flowers and leaves, dry in shade, grind fine. Mix well water to form a paste, spread thickly on paper, apply to sore. Next day, use Youyanchanluo (Ghost Ding Snail, one piece), crush in silver vessel, mix with previous paste, place snail on sore, leave for a Sunday (seven days) then remove; the ding extracts immediately. Do not spread medicine too wide.
Treatment for Ding Sores
Use rusty nails from old walls or soil. Clean, heat red in charcoal fire, quench in vinegar. Cool, scrape rust, repeat heating/quenching/scraping until fine powder. Open sore, insert powder, cover with plaster briefly. Deep sores extract the ding; shallow sores release dark purple blood and heal.
Method to Extract Ding
Lead a black bull to a stone pagoda; it will defecate. Wait for mushrooms to grow on feces, harvest, roast dry. Mix equal parts with Qiancao Ye (Signet Grass Leaf), grind fine. Cut nodes off both ends of a bamboo tube. Tie one end in a cross pattern. Place the open end over the ding, tie tightly so the tube sinks into the flesh. Put one spoonful of the powder mixed with water into the tube. When the medicine bubbles up, the ding extracts itself. If ineffective once, repeat gradually; it will definitely extract.
Formula to Extract Ding: For ding sores that do not emerge.
Ingredients: Badou (Croton Seed) (half grain, shelled), Cishi (Magnetite).
Preparation and Administration: Grind to powder. Mix with onion juice and honey to form ointment. Apply to sore; ding emerges.
Shenshou Liaodingzhong Fang
Grind dense Magnetite to powder. Mix with sour vinegar, seal on affected area briefly. Powerfully extracts the ding miraculously.
[Shi] Treatment for Ding Sores: Use one worm from hemp, grind and apply to sore. Cover with plaster. Remove plaster after one meal time; the ding emerges.
Machong Gao: Treats ding sores.
Pound one hemp worm fine, mix with good River Tea, form cake size of coin hole. Pierce sore head with sheep horn needle, press medicine on top, cover with vinegar-paste paper (plaster also works). Efficacy indicated by toxin discharge.
Qianglang Gao: Treats ding toxicity.
Ingredients: Qianglang (Scarabaeus) (three, white belly preferred), Huangmachong (Yellow Hemp Worm) (ten).
Preparation and Administration: Pound evenly, pierce affected area, apply. If on limbs with red thread extending up arm, pierce at the end of the thread to bleed, then apply previous medicine.
Commentary: This formula is commonly effective; works even without hemp worms. For severe toxicity, additionally administer detoxifying medicine. Qianglang is the dung beetle.
Shengji Fang: Treats ding sores.
Ingredients: Qianglang (Meat from heart/abdomen, slightly white).
Preparation and Administration: Catch and use as needed. Apply to sore for half a day. If not resolved, reapply. When blood is exhausted, the root extracts miraculously.
Most effective treatment for ding sores. Use Cicada Slough and Bombyx Batryticatus powder, mix with sour vinegar, apply leaving the sore center open. Wait for root to lengthen slightly, then pull out. Reapply medicine. Haizang's formula uses only Bombyx Batryticatus powder mixed with saliva; also good.
Another Method: Treats ding sores.
Sepia Shell powder applied to the head. Prick surrounding red/swollen areas. Surround with Iron Rust Water and Zi Hua Di Ding Cao (Viola Yedoensis) powder. (Note: Zi Hua Di Ding refers to Viola Yedoensis). On healthy skin outside the redness, apply Ship Hui (Ship Ash) powder mixed with fresh ginger juice.
Another Method: Treats ding swelling.
First pierce the center and surroundings. Apply Sepia Shell powder, water-pill sized, on the sore head. Apply Jian Tou Cao (Arrowhead Plant) powder on the surrounding red flesh. Outside, apply Ship Ash powder mixed with ginger juice, cover with wet silk cotton. Peel off the ding cover manually, then reapply Sepia Shell powder mixed with water.
Another Method: Treats ding sores.
Take a large piece of Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) and Dongbi Tu (Earth from East Wall). Grind with fresh well water in a clay bowl to a thick paste. Apply to swelling. Leave a hole the size of a coin hole in the center to vent heat. Heals overnight. Rewet with water if dry.
Another Method: Treats ding sores.
One qian of Xionghuang (Realgar), roasted on tile until yellow-brown, ground. Mixed with patient's urine, applied to ding for one hour to extract. If feverish and near death, grind Dahuang and Ju Hua (Chrysanthemum) to juice and instill. In winter, root juice can be used.
Yushan Han Guang's Formula: Treats ding swelling.
Burn one dan of Ai Hao (Artemisia argyi) to ash. Filter juice through bamboo tube. Mix one or two he with Duanshi (Burnt Alum) to resemble flour slurry. Pierce sore to pain point, apply. Apply three times; root extracts spontaneously. Great efficacy. During Zhenguan era, treated over thirty people successfully.
[Yan] Kuju (Sonchus) juice pounded and applied to ding sores is very effective. Dry green shoots in shade for winter use, grind to powder, mix with water for application. (Bencao says: Take white juice from Sonchus ridges, apply to ding swelling to extract root. Also drip juice on carbuncles to cause immediate suppuration.)
Ding sores: Bai Lian (Ampelopsis Radix) powder mixed with water for application. (Shenghui Fang)
[Sheng] Treatment for ding sores. For severe cases, use Fuzi (Prepared Aconite) powder mixed with vinegar, apply. Reapply when dry. (Same as Qianjin Fang.)
