包，至轻者服四包，量病增减，大人每包五钱，小儿减半。如喉痹滴水难下咽者，噙一口，仰
面浸患处，少顷有稀涎吐出，再噙再吐，至四五次，喉自能开；或绞取汁，从鼻孔灌之，毒尽则愈。如服至
八九次，外不怕冷，内则大便不通，腹中满痛，每包加酒炒大黄一钱，牙皂三分，研入同煎。

黑苔黑瓣底。其亲人向余求救，不忍袖手，即用此方，惟生石膏加重四倍，循环急灌，一日夜连投多剂，病患
陆续泻出极臭之红黑粪甚多，次日即神识稍清，舌中黑瓣亦渐退，复连服数剂，三日皆全愈。以一方活四十九

效。至消滞，莫如红曲，鸡内金；达下，莫如车前子；降气，莫如苏子、川贝。
宽膨散 活癞蛤蟆十只，将腹皮剖开，用五灵脂、砂仁末各半分量，垫满腹中，用酒捣黄泥包裹，炭
火上 燥，研极细末，每服一钱，一日三次，绿萼梅五分泡汤送下；专治气胀气膨，小儿疳积腹大，妇人胸痞
脘痛等症，屡奏捷效。
宣清导浊汤 赤苓（五钱） 猪苓（五钱） 炒香皂荚子（钱半） 先用寒水石六钱，晚蚕沙四钱，煎汤代水。

刘氏苏羌饮：紫苏叶（钱半），羌活（八分），新会皮（钱半），防风（一钱），淡香豉（三钱），鲜生姜（一钱），鲜葱白（两枚）。
按语：此方纯用辛散之品，即是发汗药；专门治疗深秋入冬时节，因暴冷损伤阳气，外感风寒引起的头痛发热、身体疼痛、呕吐恶心等症状，服用一剂即可见效。如果是伤风证，多属肺病，应当去掉羌活、生姜，加入光杏仁二钱、前胡钱半、桔梗一钱。叶天士治疗正伤寒症时，常使用此方，以代替麻黄汤和桂枝汤。
葱豉加葛根汤：鲜葱白（两枚），淡香豉（三钱），生葛根（钱半）。如果在冬季恶寒严重且无汗者，服用此方无效时，加入青麻黄五分，这是王焘《外台秘要》中的方法，投药后往往有效。
九味羌活汤：羌活（八分），防风（八分），川芎（六分），白芷（八分），北细辛（三分），杜苍术（七分），青子芩（一钱），当归（一钱），炙甘草（五分），鲜生姜（两片），鲜葱白（两枚）。
五叶芦根汤：藿香叶（一钱），薄荷叶（一钱），佩兰叶（一钱），荷叶（一钱）。先用枇杷叶一两、水芦根一两、鲜冬瓜二两，煎汤代水。
新定牛黄清心丸：西牛黄、明雄黄、黄连、黄芩、山栀、犀角、郁金、朱砂（各一两），真珠（五钱），冰片、麝香（各二钱五分）。研成细末，炼蜜为丸，每丸重一钱，用金箔做外衣，蜡封保存，使用时去掉蜡壳。
按语：此方治疗热病邪气侵入心包，出现神志昏迷、狂躁、说胡话等症状，比万氏牛黄丸的力量更大，重症使用此方，轻症仍使用万方（指万全的牛黄丸）。
犀珀至宝丹：白犀角（五钱），羚羊角（五钱），广郁金（三钱），琥珀（三钱），炒川甲（二钱），连翘心（三钱），石菖蒲（三钱），蟾酥（五分），飞辰砂（五钱），真玳瑁（五钱），当门子（即麝香，一钱），血竭（三钱），藏红花（五钱），桂枝尖（二钱），粉丹皮（三钱）。以上药物研成细末，用猪心血和丸，金箔做外衣，每丸重五分，成人每次服一丸，小儿每次服半丸，婴儿每次服四分之一丸。
按语：此丹能大剂量通瘀，直达心窍，又能上清脑络，下降浊阴；专门治疗一切时行邪气内陷血分，瘀塞心房，导致不省人事、昏厥如尸体状、目瞪口呆、四肢冰冷等症状；又治疗妇人热结血室，以及产后瘀血冲心，小儿痘疹内陷，急惊暴厥，中风中恶等症，使用得当，疗效极快。

水仙膏：水仙花根不拘多少，剥去老赤皮与根须，放入石臼捣如膏状，敷于肿胀处，中间留一个孔排出热气，干了就更换，以肌肤上生出黍米大小的黄疮为度。
三黄二香散：小川连（一两），生锦纹（一两），明乳香（五钱），川柏（一两），净没药（五钱）。以上制成极细末，初用时用细茶汁调敷，干了就更换，继则用香油调敷。

按语：此丹由苏州温疫盛行，告危甚速，苏州巡抚嘱咐叶天士先生撰写方子救世：专门治疗温热暑疫，耗液伤营，痉厥昏谵，斑疹，舌色光绛，或圆硬，或黑苔，都用此丹救治。如果初病即神情躁乱，舌赤口干，是热邪直入营分，酷热之时，阴虚之体，及新产妇人，尤其容易患此，急须用此挽回，不可拘泥日数，迟疑贻害，兼治痘毒重，夹带紫斑，及痘后余毒，口糜目赤，神烦抽搐等症，屡效。
黄连解毒合犀角地黄汤：小川连（二钱），青子芩（钱半），焦山栀（钱半），川柏（钱半），鲜生地（一两），白犀角（一钱），粉丹皮（二钱），赤芍（钱半）。
陈氏四虎饮：白犀角（一钱），生锦纹（三钱），生石膏（一两），川连（钱半），鲜生地（一两），白知母（四钱），上青黛（五分），元参（三钱），苏马勃（八分）。先用西藏橄榄一钱、生萝卜四两，煎汤代水。
陈氏夺命饮：小川连（一钱），鲜生地（一两），粉丹皮（二钱），赤芍（钱半），鲜沙参（三钱），青连翘（三钱），甘中黄（钱半），元参（三钱），上青黛（五分），土贝母（钱半），苏马勃（五分），金汁（一两）。先用白犀角一钱、羚角片钱半、生石膏二两，煎汤代水。
犀羚二鲜汤：鲜生地（一两），鲜沙参（四钱），焦山栀（三钱），象贝（钱半），小川连（一钱），甘中黄（一钱），人中白（五分），金汁（一两），新银花（三钱），青连翘（三钱），苏马勃（五分），元参（三钱）。先用白犀角一钱、羚角片钱半、生石膏二两，煎汤代水。
陈氏清肺饮：冬桑叶（钱半），鲜沙参（三钱），川贝母（三钱），广皮（钱半），青连翘（钱半），苦桔梗（一钱），生甘草（八分）。先用羚角一钱、鲜枇杷叶一两去毛抽筋，煎汤代水。
桑丹泻白散：冬桑叶（二钱），生桑皮（三钱），地骨皮（三钱），丹皮（二钱），光杏仁（三钱），滁菊花（二钱），川贝母（三钱），银花（钱半），生甘草（八分）。
叶氏养胃汤：生玉竹（三钱），生扁豆（三钱），北沙参（三钱），麦冬（三钱），冬桑叶（二钱），生甘草（一钱）。
麦门冬汤：大麦冬（五钱），仙露夏（三钱），潞党参（二钱），红枣（四枚），炙甘草（一钱），生粳米（四钱，用荷叶包裹）。
按语：此方大生津液，上输于肺，妙在佐半夏一味以降气，从胃中降冲气下行，使火不上干的方法。或者去掉粳米，加白蜜，更滋润。善于治疗燥痰咳嗽，及冲气上逆，挟痰血而干肺者，都有效。加乌贼骨丸五钱，能治疗妇人气竭肝伤，液燥气冲，经闭不通者，屡验。
养阴清肺汤：鲜生地（一两），北沙参（四钱），川贝母（四钱），元参（八钱），大麦冬（六钱），生白芍（三钱），生甘草（二钱），丹皮（四钱），苏薄荷（二钱）。喉间肿甚者，加生石膏四钱；大便燥结，数日不通者，加青麟丸二钱、元明粉二钱；胸下胀闷者，加神曲二钱、焦山楂二钱，小便短赤者，加细木通一钱、泽泻二钱、知母二钱；燥渴者，加天冬三钱、马兜铃一钱；面赤身热，或舌苔黄色者，加银花四钱、连翘三钱。
桑麻六味汤：冬桑叶（二钱），黑芝麻（三钱），大熟地（四钱），萸肉（八分），浙茯苓（三钱），淮山药（三钱），粉丹皮（钱半），泽泻（钱半）。
藿香正气散：杜藿香（钱半），真川朴（一钱），姜半夏（钱半），广皮（钱半），带皮苓（三钱），生晒术（七分），苦桔梗（八分），白芷（一钱），紫苏（一钱），炙甘草（五分），春砂仁（八分研冲）。
藿朴二陈汤：杜藿香（二钱），真川朴（一钱），姜半夏（钱半），广皮（钱半），佩兰叶（钱半），生苡仁（四钱），带皮苓（四钱），泽泻（钱半），白蔻末（八分拌），飞滑石（六钱），紫金片二分开水烊冲。
千金苇茎汤：生苡仁（六钱），原桃仁（三钱），冬瓜子（五钱），苇茎（二钱）。
苏合香丸：苏合香（五钱），安息香（一两），公丁香（一两），沉香（一两），青木香（一两），白檀香（一两），制香附（一两），荜茇（一两），薰陆香（二钱），飞朱砂（一两），白犀角（一两），梅冰（二钱），当门子（二钱）。以上为细末，入安息香膏炼蜜和剂，丸如芡实大，每次四丸，空心用沸汤化下，温酒下亦得。
按语：此辟邪驱秽之圣方，专门治疗传尸骨蒸，盘肺痿，疰忤鬼气，卒心痛，霍乱吐泻，时气瘴疟，赤白暴痢，瘀血经闭，癖疔肿，惊痫，小儿吐乳，大人狐迷等症。
二金汤：焦鸡金（五钱），薄川朴（三钱），大腹绒（三钱），猪苓（三钱）。先用海金沙五钱、丝通草三钱，煎汤代水。
开郁通络饮：香橼皮（钱半），广郁金（三钱），炒延胡（钱半），远志（八分），真新绛（钱半），陈木瓜（钱半），蜣螂虫（二钱），通草（一钱），佛手片（五分）。先用丝瓜络一枚、路路通十枚、生苡仁八钱，煎汤代水。
按语：薛瘦吟医赘云：鼓胀证，湿邪入络居多，消滞利水，徒伤气分，焉能奏功；用此方出入加减，自能奏效。至于消滞，莫如红曲、鸡内金；达下，莫如车前子；降气，莫如苏子、川贝。
宽膨散：活癞蛤蟆十只，将腹皮剖开，用五灵脂、砂仁末各半分量，垫满腹中，用酒捣黄泥包裹，炭火上焙燥，研极细末，每次服一钱，一日三次，绿萼梅五分泡汤送下；专门治疗气胀气膨，小儿疳积腹大，妇人胸痞脘痛等症，屡奏捷效。
Chongchi Baihu Decoction: Fresh Scallion White Bulb (3 stalks), Light Fragrant Fermented Soybean (3 qian), Raw Gypsum Fibrosum (4 qian), Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (3 qian), Asari Radix (0.3 qian), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (0.5 qian), Raw Oryzae Fructus (3 qian, wrapped in Lotus Leaf).
Zhichi Qin Ge Decoction: Scorched Gardeniae Fructus (3 qian), Light Fragrant Fermented Soybean (3 qian), Raw Puerariae Radix (1.5 qian), Scutellariae Radix slice (1 qian), Coptidis Rhizoma small (0.3 qian), Moutan Cortex (1 qian), Platycodonis Radix (1 qian), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (0.5 qian).
Liu's Suqiang Yin: Perillae Folium (1.5 qian), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (0.8 fen), Xinhui Peel (1.5 qian), Saposhnikoviae Radix (1 qian), Light Fragrant Fermented Soybean (3 qian), Fresh Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (1 qian), Fresh Scallion White Bulb (2 stalks).
Note: This formula consists purely of acrid-warm herbs and acts as a diaphoretic; it is specifically used for sudden cold damaging Yang in late autumn or early winter, causing exterior Wind-Cold invasion with symptoms such as headache, fever, body pain, vomiting, and nausea. One dose yields immediate results. For Wind-Cold injury where Lung pathology predominates, remove Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix and Fresh Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, and add Apricot Seed (2 qian), Peucedani Radix (1.5 qian), and Platycodonis Radix (1 qian). Ye Tianshi often used this formula to treat typical Shanghan (Cold Damage) instead of Mahuang Tang (Ephedra Decoction) and Guizhi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction).
Chongchi Jia Gen Gen Decoction: Fresh Scallion White Bulb (2 stalks), Light Fragrant Fermented Soybean (3 qian), Raw Puerariae Radix (1.5 qian). In winter, if chills are severe and there is no sweating, and this formula is ineffective, add Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 麻黄) (0.5 fen). This is the method from Wang Tao's *Waitai Miyao*, which is usually effective upon administration.
Jiuwei Qianghuo Tang: Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (0.8 fen), Saposhnikoviae Radix (0.8 fen), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (0.6 fen), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (0.8 fen), Asari Radix (0.3 fen), Atractylodis Rhizoma (0.7 fen), Scutellariae Radix green (1 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (1 qian), Roasted Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (0.5 fen), Fresh Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (2 slices), Fresh Scallion White Bulb (2 stalks).
Wuye Lugeng Tang: Agastachis Folium (1 qian), Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (1 qian), Eupatorii Caulis (1 qian), Nelumbinis Folium (1 qian). First, decoct Loquat Leaf (1 liang), Water Reed Rhizome (1 liang), and Fresh Winter Melon (2 liang) to use as water for decocting other herbs.
Xinding Niuhuang Qingxin Wan: Bovini Calculus (Xi Niu Huang), Realgar (Ming Xiong Huang), Coptidis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, Gardeniae Fructus, Rhinocerotis Cornu, Curcumae Aromatae Rhizoma, Cinnabaris (each 1 liang), Pearl (Zhen Zhu, 5 qian), Borneolum Syntheticum, Moschus (each 2.5 qian). Grind into fine powder, mix with refined honey to make pills, each weighing 1 qian, coat with Gold Foil, seal with wax. Remove wax before use.
Note: This formula treats Heat pathogens invading the Pericardium, causing coma, mania, and delirium. It is more potent than Wan Shi's Niuhuang Wan. Use this for severe cases and Wan Shi's formula for mild cases.
Xige Zhibao Dan: White Rhinoceros Horn (5 qian), Antelope Horn (5 qian), Curcumae Aromatae Rhizoma broad (3 qian), Succinum (3 qian), Stir-fried Pangolin Scales (2 qian), Forsythiae Calyx (3 qian), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (3 qian), Toad Venom (0.5 fen), Flown Cinnabar (5 qian), True Eretmochelyas Carapax (5 qian), Muskmusk (1 qian), Hematoxylon (3 qian), Safflower (5 qian), Cinnamomi Ramulus tip (2 qian), Moutan Cortex (3 qian). Grind all herbs into fine powder, bind with Pig Heart Blood to form pills, coat with Gold Foil. Each pill weighs 0.5 fen. Adults take one pill per dose; children take half a pill; infants take a quarter of a pill.
Note: This pill strongly promotes blood circulation to unblock stasis, reaching the heart orifices directly. It clears the brain collaterals upwards and descends turbid Yin downwards. It is specifically used for all epidemic pathogens sinking into the Blood level, blocking the heart chamber, leading to unconsciousness, coma resembling death, staring eyes, rigid jaw, and cold limbs. It also treats women with Heat binding in the Blood Chamber, postpartum Blood stasis rushing to the heart, infantile measles sinking inward, acute convulsions, stroke, and sudden evil invasion. When used appropriately, its efficacy is extremely rapid.
Jiajian Puji Xiaodu Yin: Green Forsythiae Fructus (1.5 qian), Perilla Mint (1 qian), Stir-fried Barbary Apple Seed (1.5 qian), Moellerenae Herba (0.4 fen), Schizonepeta Spike (1 qian), White Silkworm (1 qian), Isatidis Folium (1.5 qian), Scrophulariae Radix (1 qian), New Honeysuckle Flower (1.5 qian), Platycodonis Radix (1 qian), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (0.8 fen). First, decoct Living Water Reed Rhizome (2 liang) to use as water.
Daizhen Puji San: Platycodonis Radix, Cimicifugae Rhizoma, Lemna Minor, Honeysuckle Flower, Forsythiae Fructus, Scrophulariae Radix (each 10 liang), Barbari Apple Seed, Schizonepeta Spike (each 8 liang), Cicada Slough, Scutellariae Radix, Isatidis Folium, White Silkworm (each 6 liang), Perilla Mint, Human Manure Ash, Moellerenae Herba, Belamcandae Rhizoma, Processed Rheum Palmatum (each 4 liang). Grind all herbs into coarse powder, weigh and mix evenly. Decoct in boiling water for 3-5 boils, strain, and drink hot.
Note: This formula is recorded in Wu Juztong's medical cases. It generally treats Wind-Warmth and Warm-Toxicity, throat obstruction, neck and facial swelling, measles, smallpox, syphilis toxins, and carbuncles. It covers all Wind-Heat patterns in the Upper and Middle Jiao and muscle-coupling. Externally: fever, aversion to wind/cold, no sweating. Internally: restlessness, depression, coughing, insomnia, difficult urination and defecation. For severe cases, take up to 12 packs day and night; for mild cases, 4 packs. Adjust dosage based on condition. Adults take 5 qian per pack; children take half. If throat obstruction prevents swallowing liquids, hold a mouthful against the affected area, tilt head back, expectorate thin saliva after a moment, repeat 4-5 times until the throat opens; or extract juice and instill into nostrils until toxins are cleared. If after 8-9 doses external cold sensation disappears but internal constipation and abdominal fullness/pain persist, add Wine-fried Rheum Palmatum (1 qian) and Tooth Soap (0.3 fen) to each pack, grind together and decoct.
Jingfang Baidu San Jia Jinzhi Fang: Schizonepeta Spike (1.5 qian), Saposhnikoviae Radix (1 qian), Chai Hu (0.8 fen), Peucedani Radix (0.8 fen), New Honeysuckle Flower (1.5 qian), Green Forsythiae Fructus (1.5 qian), Platycodonis Radix (1 qian), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (0.6 fen), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (0.6 fen), Angelicae Pubescentis Radix (0.6 fen), Stir-fried Barbary Apple Seed (1 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (0.6 fen), Sappan Wood (0.8 fen), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (0.8 fen), Rhubarb Root (1 qian), Prunus Persica Radix (0.8 fen). For hard swelling that does not resolve, add Gleditsiae Spina (0.8 fen) and Pangolin Scales (1 qian); for dry stool, add Wine-processed Rheum Palmatum.
Shuixian Gao: Narcissus bulb root, any amount. Peel off old red skin and roots. Pound in a stone mortar into a paste. Apply to swollen areas, leaving a hole in the center to release heat. Change when dry. Continue until millet-sized yellow blisters appear on the skin.
Sanhuang Erxiang San: Coptidis Rhizoma small (1 liang), Raw Rheum Palmatum (1 liang), Frankincense (Ming Ruxiang, 5 qian), Phellodendri Cortex (1 liang), Myrrha (Jing Moyao, 5 qian). Grind into very fine powder. Initially mix with fine tea juice for application, change when dry. Subsequently mix with Sesame Oil for application.
Wu's Liangxue Jiedu Tang: Fresh Rehmanniae Radix (1 liang), Old Arnebiae Radix (3 qian), Green Forsythiae Fructus (3 qian), Platycodonis Radix (1.5 qian), White Silkworm (1.5 qian), Safflower (0.5 fen), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (0.6 fen). First, decoct Siebold's Thistle Herb (8 qian) and New Honeysuckle Flower (5 qian) to use as water. For Blood Heat, add White Rhinoceros Horn (0.8 fen) and Moutan Cortex (2 qian); for excessive Fire, add Antelope Horn (1.5 qian), Raw Gypsum Fibrosum (8 qian), Coptidis Rhizoma small (1 qian); for macules/rash, add Jinzhi (1 liang) and Scrophulariae Radix (3 qian); for failure of rash to erupt on head/face, add Chuanxiong Rhizoma (1 qian) and Chicken Comb Blood (10 drops); for sore throat, add Scrophulariae Radix (3 qian), Sophorae Tonkinensis Radix (0.8 fen), Belamcandae Rhizoma (1.5 qian), Tibetan Olive (0.8 fen); for mania/restlessness, add Gua Shuang Zi Xue Dan (0.5 fen); for heavy toxin and Blood coagulation, add Pig Tail Blood (10 drops) and Plum Ice (0.05 fen).
Fei's Qinghuo Jiedu Tang: White Rhinoceros Horn (1 qian), Raw Rheum Palmatum (1.5 qian), Moutan Cortex (3 qian), Red Peony Root (1.5 qian), Old Arnebiae Radix (3 qian), Green Forsythiae Fructus (3 qian), Clean Hawthorn Flesh (3 qian), Akebia Caulis (1 qian), Small Green Citrus Peel (0.8 fen), Trichosanthis Radix (1.5 qian), Raw Gypsum Fibrosum (8 qian), Carthami Flos (0.5 fen).
Bacui Xige Dihuang Tang Jia Jinzhi Yuanming Fen Fang: White Rhinoceros Horn (1 qian), Fresh Rehmanniae Radix (1 liang), Raw Rheum Palmatum (3 qian), Coptidis Rhizoma (1 qian), Scutellariae Radix green (3 qian), Mirabilite (Yuan Ming Fen, 3 qian), Jinzhi (1 liang, mixed in).
Ye's Zhuye Dihuang Tang: Fresh Rehmanniae Radix (5 qian), Moutan Cortex (1.5 qian), Light Asparagus Fern Root (1 qian), Ophiopogonis Radix (1 qian), Forsythiae Calyx (0.5 fen), Scrophulariae Radix heart (1.5 qian), Fresh Rolled Heart Bamboo Leaf (30 leaves).
Zicao Chengqi Tang: Old Arnebiae Radix (3 qian), Raw Rheum Palmatum (3 qian), Small Immature Tangerine Fruit (1.5 qian), Magnolia Bark (0.6 fen).
Shiquan Kuhuan Jiubu Tang: Raw Gypsum Fibrosum (8 qian), Scutellariae Radix green (6 qian), Raw Rheum Palmatum (3 qian), Coptidis Rhizoma (3 qian), White Rhinoceros Horn (2 qian), Genuine Magnolia Bark (1 qian), Small Immature Tangerine Fruit (1.5 qian), Mirabilite (3 qian), Raw Phellodendri Cortex (4 qian), Anemarrhenae Rhizoma white (6 qian). Administer frequently and urgently regardless of time or dosage form to rescue the patient.
Note: This formula was transmitted by Liang Yuyu of Maoming. He stated: In July of Xinmao year, passing through Qingjiangpu, I saw several boatmen suffering from plague, emitting a foul odor, unconscious. Local doctors declared them incurable and left them on shore to die. Out of pity, I examined them. All had open mouths blowing air, were unconscious, and had black tongue coating with cracked base. Their relatives begged for help. I used this formula, quadrupling the dosage of Raw Gypsum Fibrosum, administering it urgently in rotation. Over one day and night, multiple doses were given. Patients passed large amounts of extremely foul-smelling dark red/black stool. The next day, consciousness slightly improved, and black tongue cracks receded. After several more doses, all recovered in three days. One formula saved 49 people; locals then regarded my prescription as an immortal remedy.
Xige Daqing Tang: White Rhinoceros Horn (1 qian), Raw Gypsum Fibrosum (1 liang), Coptidis Rhizoma small (1 qian), Isatis Root (1.5 qian), Scorched Gardeniae Fructus (1.5 qian), Human Manure Ash (1.5 qian), Scutellariae Radix green (1.5 qian), Phellodendri Cortex (1 qian), Scrophulariae Radix (1.5 qian), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (0.5 fen), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (0.5 fen).
Ye's Shenxi Dan: White Rhinoceros Horn (6 liang, ground into juice), Fresh Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (6 liang, crushed into juice), Fresh Honeysuckle Flower (1 jin, crushed into juice), Fresh Rehmanniae Radix (2 jin 8 liang, crushed into juice), Green Forsythiae Fructus (10 liang), Human Manure Ash (4 liang), Flown Indigo Naturalis (9 liang), Scutellariae Radix green (6 liang), Light Fermented Soybean (8 liang), Scrophulariae Radix (7 liang), Old Arnebiae Radix (4 liang), Trichosanthis Radix (4 liang). Sun-dry and grind all herbs finely. Do not expose to fire. Mix with juices and knead into pills. Do not add honey. If difficult to pill, boil fermented soybean until soft. Each pill weighs 3 qian. Take with cool boiled water; children take half.
Note: This pill was created during a severe epidemic in Suzhou at the request of the Suzhou Governor and Mr. Ye Tianshi. It specifically treats Warm-Heat Summer-Damp epidemics consuming fluids and damaging Ying (Nutritive) level, causing spasms, coma, delirium, macules/rash, glossy crimson tongue, round/hard tongue, or black coating. Use this pill to save patients. If initial illness presents with agitation, red tongue, and dry mouth, Heat pathogen has entered Ying level directly. During extreme heat, those with Yin deficiency constitution and postpartum women are especially susceptible. Urgent use is required; do not delay by adhering strictly to days. It also treats severe smallpox toxins with purple spots, residual toxins after smallpox, oral ulcers, red eyes, mental restlessness, and convulsions. It has proven effective repeatedly.

First, decoct Antelope Horn (1 qian) and Fresh Loquat Leaf (1 liang, de-haired and veinless) to use as water.

Ye's Yangwei Tang: Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma (3 qian), Coix Seed (3 qian), Glehniae Radix (3 qian), Ophiopogonis Radix (3 qian), Mulberry Leaf (2 qian), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (1 qian).
Maimendong Tang: Large Ophiopogonis Radix (5 qian), Pinellia Ternata (Xian Lu Xia, 3 qian), Codonopsis Pilosula (Lu Dangshen, 2 qian), Red Date (4 pieces), Roasted Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (1 qian), Raw Oryzae Fructus (4 qian, wrapped in Lotus Leaf).
Note: This formula greatly generates Body Fluids and sends them upward to the Lung. Its brilliance lies in the addition of Pinellia Ternata to direct Qi downward, descending rebellious Qi from the Stomach, preventing Fire from harassing upward. Alternatively, remove Oryzae Fructus and add White Honey for greater moistening. It effectively treats Dry-Phlegm cough and rebellious Qi carrying Phlegm-Blood harassing the Lung. Adding Wumei Pill (5 qian) treats women with Qi exhaustion and Liver injury, dry fluids, rebellious Qi, and amenorrhea. It has proven effective repeatedly.
Yangyin Qingfei Tang: Fresh Rehmanniae Radix (1 liang), Glehniae Radix (4 qian), Fritillaria Cirrhosa Bulb (4 qian), Scrophulariae Radix (8 qian), Large Ophiopogonis Radix (6 qian), Raw White Peony Root (3 qian), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (2 qian), Moutan Cortex (4 qian), Perilla Mint (2 qian). For severe throat swelling, add Raw Gypsum Fibrosum (4 qian); for dry stool and constipation for several days, add Qinglin Pill (2 qian) and Mirabilite (2 qian); for chest/epigastric distension, add Medicated Leaven (2 qian) and Scorched Hawthorn (2 qian); for scanty dark urine, add Tetrapanaxis Plastrum (Akebia Caulis) (1 qian), Alisma Rhizoma (2 qian), Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (2 qian); for dry thirst, add Asparagus Fern Root (3 qian), Aristolochiae Fructus (1 qian); for red face, fever, or yellow tongue coating, add Honeysuckle Flower (4 qian), Forsythiae Fructus (3 qian).
Sangma Liuwei Tang: Mulberry Leaf (2 qian), Black Sesame Seed (3 qian), Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (4 qian), Cornus Officinalis Fruit (0.8 fen), Zhejiang Poria (3 qian), Chinese Yam (3 qian), Moutan Cortex (1.5 qian), Alisma Rhizoma (1.5 qian).
Huoxiang Zhengqi San: Duhuo Agastache (1.5 qian), Genuine Magnolia Bark (1 qian), Ginger-processed Pinellia Ternata (1.5 qian), Broad-leaved Orange Peel (1.5 qian), Poria with Skin (3 qian), Sun-dried Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizoma (0.7 fen), Platycodonis Radix (0.8 fen), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (1 qian), Perilla Leaf (1 qian), Roasted Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (0.5 fen), Spring Amomum Fruit (0.8 fen, ground and mixed in).
Huopo Erchen Tang: Duhuo Agastache (2 qian), Genuine Magnolia Bark (1 qian), Ginger-processed Pinellia Ternata (1.5 qian), Broad-leaved Orange Peel (1.5 qian), Eupatorium Folium (1.5 qian), Coix Seed (4 qian), Poria with Skin (4 qian), Alisma Rhizoma (1.5 qian), White Cardamom Powder (0.8 fen, mixed), Flown Talcum (6 qian), Zijian Pian (2 pieces, dissolved in warm water and mixed in).
Qianjin Weijing Tang: Coix Seed (6 qian), Original Peach Kernel (3 qian), Winter Melon Seed (5 qian), Reed Stem (2 qian).
Suhe Xiang Wan: Liquidambar Resin (5 qian), Benzoin Resin (1 liang), Male Clove Bud (1 liang), Agarwood (1 liang), Aquilaria Wood (1 liang), Sandalwood (1 liang), Processed Cyperi Rhizoma (1 liang), Long Pepper Fruit (1 liang), Frankincense (2 qian), Flown Cinnabar (1 liang), White Rhinoceros Horn (1 liang), Plum Ice (2 qian), Muskmusk (2 qian). Grind into fine powder, mix with Benzoin Resin paste and refined honey. Form pills the size of Quinoa seeds. Take 4 pills on an empty stomach dissolved in boiling water; warm wine may also be used.
Note: This is a sacred formula for expelling evil and driving away filth. It specifically treats consumption with bone-steaming fever, pulmonary fibrosis, pestilential qi, sudden heart pain, cholera with vomiting/diarrhea, epidemic malaria, bloody dysentery, amenorrhea due to Blood stasis, masses/carbuncles, convulsions, infant regurgitation, and adult spirit confusion.
Erjin Tang: Scorched Chicken Gizzard Lining (5 qian), Thin Magnolia Bark (3 qian), Areca Seed Fiber (3 qian), Polyporus (3 qian). First, decoct Lygodii Spora (5 qian) and Securinega Vine (3 qian) to use as water.
Kaiyu Tongluo Yin: Eriobotrya Peel (1.5 qian), Curcumae Aromatae Rhizoma broad (3 qian), Stir-fried Corydalis Rhizoma (1.5 qian), Polygalae Radix (0.8 fen), Genuine Xinjiang (Red Silk) (1.5 qian), Aged Papaya (1.5 qian), Dung Beetle (2 qian), Tinospora Capillaris (1 qian), Bergamia Slice (0.5 fen). First, decoct Luffa Loop (1 piece), Liquidambar Fruit (10 pieces), and Coix Seed (8 qian) to use as water.
Note: Xue Shouyin's *Yi Zhui* states: In Drum Distension (Tympanites), Damp-Evil entering collaterals is common. Merely resolving stagnation and promoting urination only damages Qi level and cannot achieve efficacy. Using this formula with modifications will naturally yield results. For resolving stagnation, nothing beats Red Yeast Rice and Chicken Gizzard Lining; for draining downward, nothing beats Plantago Seed; for directing Qi downward, nothing helps more than Perilla Seed and Fritillaria.
Kuanpeng San: Ten live toads. Cut open the belly skin. Fill the cavity halfway with Powder of Trogopterus Dung and Amomum Fruit. Wrap in mud mixed with wine. Bake over charcoal fire until dry. Grind into extremely fine powder. Take 1 qian per dose, three times daily, taken down with Green Rose Tea (0.5 fen). Specifically treats Qi distension/bloating, infant malnutrition with abdominal enlargement, and women's chest oppression/epigastric pain. It has yielded frequent successful results.
Xuanqing Daozhuo Tang: Red Poria (5 qian), Polyporus (5 qian), Stir-fried Fragrant Soap Pod Seed (1.5 qian). First, decoct Halloysitum Rubrum (6 qian) and Bombyx Batryticatus (4 qian) to use as water.
