The song says: The method of acupoints has always been in the fingers, treating diseases instantly reveals divine efficacy. I advise you to know various diseases, why did you not memorize the Jade Dragon Song initially?
Regarding the treatment of general body pain mentioned above, one must first ask the patient to indicate the site of pain, then press it with the thumb or index finger nail of the left hand. If the patient grits teeth, grimaces, trembles in fear, indicating extreme pain, carefully examine and determine the acupoint among the non-fixed points. Where tendons and bones are present, shallow needling is appropriate; measure the moxibustion dosage temporarily.
For the moxibustion methods mentioned above, the criterion is that the skin under the acupoint turns red, larger than a coin by two fen, which indicates blistering will occur. In winter, use cat hair; in summer, use bamboo membrane. Apply mixed with sesame oil; this causes no harm. The so-called non-fixed acupoint refers to the painful area itself.
