A person suffering from mania, dementia, and cold extremities was treated for mania without effect. *Records of Famous Doctors* states: This results from fright, fear, worry, and overthinking. Great fright injures the Heart, great fear injures the Kidney, and great worry/overthinking injures the Shen (Spirit). Insufficiency of Shen leads to mania and dementia; insufficiency of Zhi (Will) leads to terror. Terror causes Qi stagnation and accumulation in the Kidney. Inability to control the feet is also due to Kidney injury from accumulated fright and Qi. (For sudden death caused by Gui Ji [Ghost Strike], crush Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii (Changpu) root, extract juice, and administer orally for immediate recovery.)
