Damp-heat stagnates in the Spleen and Lung, causing both eyes to develop protrusions resembling fish roe or pomegranate seeds within the eyelids, accompanied by photophobia.

Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Halitum Conchae (Shijueming), Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma (Yuzhu), Poria (Fuling), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai).

Re-examination: The fish-rope-like protrusions have dissipated, but the red nebula (red翳) has not yet fully cleared. Use Bu Xue Liu Jun Zi Tang (Blood-Nourishing Six Gentlemen Decoction), remove Codonopsis Radix (Renshen), add Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma (Yuzhu).

Mr. Tang (Right patient). In his later years, he suffers from a deficiency of Liver and Kidney Yin, leading to an inability of Water and Fire to interact harmoniously (Heart-Kidney non-interaction). This results in a pale appearance of the pupil, frequent visual hallucinations of flying sparks, and blurred vision. It is appropriate to employ methods to strengthen Water to control Fire, secure essence, and facilitate communication between the Heart and Kidney.

Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Guishen), honey-fried Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhicao), Lycii Fructus (Gouqizi), Cuscutae Semen (Tusizi), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Morus Fructus (Sangshenzi), Ligustri Lucidi Fructus (Nvzhenzi), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen), Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum (Guijiao), Lotus Seed (Lianrou).

Mr. Luo (Left patient). His constitution is inherently deficient in Yin, with insufficient Essence and Blood. His left eye was injured by an external object, causing further depletion of Qi and Blood. This leads to a dilated pupil, ptosis (drooping eyelids), weakness in opening the eyelids, and unclear vision. I strive to formulate a treatment plan; there may be slight efficacy, and other matters can be discussed subsequently.

Re-examination: The eyelids can now open slightly for vision, and the pupil has shrunk slightly, but vision remains unclear. Use Zhen Yuan Yin combined with Wu Zi Yan Zong Wan (Five Seeds Decoction), add Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Astragali Radix (Huangqi), Carthami Flos (Honghua), and Aspongopus (Jiu Xiang Chong).

Re-examination: Use Sheng Mai San combined with Wu Zi Yan Zong Wan (Five Seeds Decoction), add Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Guishen), and Eglantia Gelatin (Ejiao).

Mr. Kong (Left patient). White objects appear yellow, red objects appear purple, straight lines appear crooked, and opening the eyes causes dizziness. This is a syndrome of "Extreme Yin with Flying Yang."

Raw Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdi), Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), Corni Fructus (Yurou), Moutan Cortex (Danpi), Poria (Fuling), Alisma Rhizoma (Zexie), Cinnamomi Cortex (Rougui), Cuscutae Semen (Tusizi), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen).

Re-examination: Shen Qi Wan from *Jin Gui Yao Lue* (Kidney Qi Pill, administered as a decoction) combined with Sheng Mai San, add Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen).

Re-examination: Shi Quan Da Bu Tang (Ten Significant Tonifying Decoction).

Mr. Yao (Left patient). Essence and Blood are chronically deficient, and dampness has transmitted to the Lung and Kidney. This causes a yellow membrane on the sclera of both eyes, dim pupils, poor night vision, and nyctalopia (night blindness).

Raw Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdi), Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Asparagi Tuber (Tiantong), Ophiopogonis Tuber (Maidong), Imperatae Rhizoma (Yinchen), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao), Dendrobii Caulis (Shihu), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Loquat Leaf (Pipaye), Ecliptae Herba (Hanliancao), Ligustri Lucidi Fructus (Nvzhenzi), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen).

Re-examination: Renshen Guben Wan combined with Er Zhi Wan, add Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen), Imperatae Rhizoma (Yinchen), and Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin).

Re-examination: Night vision has improved, and damp-heat has largely subsided, but internal heat remains. Use Raw Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdi), Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), and Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (Six-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia) without Corni Fructus (Yurou), combined with Er Zhi Wan, add Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi), Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen), and Vicia Faba Wild Type (Yema Liaodou).

Mr. Xu (Left patient). In his later years, he suffers from a deficiency of Liver and Kidney Yin, with intermittent pulse stops in the three Yin and three Yang meridians. Additionally, his Spleen and Stomach are weak and unable to transport effectively, causing both eyelids to become red and everted, with unclear vision.

Young Mr. Yang (Pediatric patient). Damp-fire in the Spleen and Stomach has caused a polypoid growth (eye fungus) on the lower eyelid of the left eye.

Sappan Lignum (Sumu), Carthami Flos (Honghua), Raw Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdi), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Charred Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong Tan), Red Peony Root (Chishao), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu), Magnoliae Officinalis Bark (N Houpu), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Reed Rhizome (Lugen).

Re-examination: The ocular polyp has disappeared, but the red nebula has not yet fully cleared. Follow the previous prescription, remove Sappan Lignum (Sumu) and Carthami Flos (Honghua), add Dendrobii Caulis (Shihu) and Gardeniae Fructus (Hei Shanzhi).
