加味四物汤
当归 生地（干炒） 白芍药（酒炒） 川芎 陈皮 苍术 浓朴（干炒，各五分）
如高风，加羌活、白芷各五分。
如小儿过食，脾胃受伤，亦发此症，消食丸主之。
雀目，手大指爪甲后第一节横纹中向上针一分许（小儿及壮者，皆神效），又横纹头内侧白肉际灸三、四壮亦效。
一方∶碧鱼烂烹，熏其热臭，亦效。
两目猝浮不能开，见浊汁流出，泻青丸加贝母、苍术、草决明、人参、桑白皮，或作汤服之亦可。
有一儿左上唇上结核，一宿核移左腮，又一宿核移左目，上胞因疼痛大浮如拳，目睛以此突然突出如瘤症，大如
木瓜块，余命以石膏平胃散加草决明一钱，人参、青皮各五分，服十余帖而愈，人皆异之。
如眼被撞刺，有血痕，因生翳膜，轻效散主之。柴胡、当归、赤芍药（酒炒）、大黄（酒煨）、犀角各一钱，甘草五
分。
（小儿夜啼不止，状若鬼祟）
蝉花散
蝉壳下半截为末，初生儿炒一字，薄荷汤入酒小许，调下即止。或误以上半截为末调服，则啼复如故，古人格物之
妙如此。
一方∶蝉蜕二七枚，去头足为末，入朱砂一字，蜜调送下为妙。
一方∶小儿达夜啼号，使其父负儿，持刀潜斫邻家篱带，勿使人知之，儿啼即止，然后潜还，系其斫带，则永不啼。
如夫音声嘶，清音散主之。
清音散
诃子皮（半生半炒，三钱） 桔梗（半生半炮，五钱） 甘草（半生半炙，二钱） 木通（半生半炙，三钱）
生地汁调下。此方，加天门冬、山药、贝母、杏仁，润补金经尤妙。
如天行咳喘，三拗汤主之。
三拗汤
麻黄 杏仁 甘草（各一钱）
剂留杏仁之皮尖，麻黄之根节，盖以藉其毒而治痰止喘也。
如痰盛，加贝母（干制）七分。
如气虚，加人参三、四分。
如感冒风寒，加柴胡五分，苏叶三分。
如喘甚，加紫菀、款冬花各五分。
如痰盛喘甚者，气降则痰化而喘止，苏合丸和蜜服之，立效。

由于心血亏虚、肝金受邪，或者脾土之气过盛而反侮其所不能胜的木行，导致高风上扰所致，适宜用四物汤为主进行治疗。
加味四物汤
当归、生地（干炒）、白芍药（酒炒）、川芎、陈皮、苍术、浓朴（干炒，各五分）。
如果伴有高风症状，加羌活、白芷各五分。
如果小儿饮食过量，损伤脾胃，也会引发此症，用消食丸为主治疗。
雀目（夜盲症），在手大指爪甲后第一节横纹中向上针刺一分左右（小儿及体质壮实者，均神效），又在横纹头内侧白肉际处艾灸三、四壮也有效。
另一方法：将碧鱼腐烂烹煮，用其热气和臭味熏蒸，也有效。
两目突然浮肿无法睁开，有浑浊液体流出，用泻青丸加贝母、苍术、草决明、人参、桑白皮，或者煎汤服用也可以。
有一个患儿左上唇出现结核，一夜之间结核移至左腮，又一夜移至左眼，上眼睑因疼痛严重肿胀如拳头大小，眼球因此突然突出如肿瘤状，大如木瓜块。我命令使用石膏平胃散加草决明一钱，人参、青皮各五分，服用十余帖后痊愈，人们对此都感到惊奇。
如果眼睛被撞击刺伤，留有血痕，因而生翳膜，用轻效散为主治疗。柴胡、当归、赤芍药（酒炒）、大黄（酒煨）、犀角各一钱，甘草五分。
（小儿夜啼不止，状若鬼祟）
蝉花散
取蝉壳下半截研为粉末，初生儿服用炒制的一字量，用薄荷汤加入少许酒调服，啼哭立即停止。如果误用上半截研末调服，则啼哭恢复如初，古人对事物探究的奥妙如此。
另一方法：蝉蜕十四枚，去掉头足研为粉末，加入朱砂一字，用蜂蜜调和送下为妙。
另一方法：小儿整夜啼哭号叫，让其父亲背着孩子，拿着刀悄悄砍邻居家的篱笆带，不要让人知道，孩子啼哭就会停止，然后悄悄回去，系好砍断的带子，就永远不再啼哭。
如果声音嘶哑，用清音散为主治疗。
清音散
诃子皮（半生半炒，三钱）、桔梗（半生半炮，五钱）、甘草（半生半炙，二钱）、木通（半生半炙，三钱）。
用地黄汁调服。此方，加上天门冬、山药、贝母、杏仁，润补肺经尤其奇妙。
三拗汤
麻黄、杏仁、甘草（各一钱）。
保留杏仁的皮尖，麻黄的根节，大概是因为借助它们的毒性来治疗痰饮和止喘。
如果痰多，加贝母（干制）七分。
如果气虚，加人参三、四分。
如果感冒风寒，加柴胡五分，苏叶三分。
如果喘息严重，加紫菀、款冬花各五分。
如果痰多且喘息严重的，气降则痰化而喘止，用苏合丸和蜜服用，立竿见影。

Jiawei Siwu Tang (Modified Four Substances Decoction)
Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Shengdi Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (dry-fried), Baishao Radix Paeoniae Alba (wine-fried), Chuanxiong Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Chenpi Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Cangzhao Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Nongpo Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis (dry-fried, each 0.5 qian).
If accompanied by high Wind symptoms, add Qianghuo Rhizoma Notopterygii and Baizhi Radix Angelicae Dahuricae, each 0.5 qian.
If the child has consumed excessive food, damaging the Spleen and Stomach, this condition may also arise; Xiaoshi Wan (Digestive Pill) is indicated as the primary treatment.
For Night Blindness (Que Mu), needle approximately 1 fen upward from the transverse crease at the first joint behind the nail of the thumb (highly effective for both children and robust adults). Also, moxibustion of three to four cones at the inner edge of the transverse crease where the white flesh meets the skin is effective.
Another method: Cook rotten Biyu (Green Fish) and fumigate with its heat and odor; this is also effective.
Sudden swelling of both eyes preventing opening, with discharge of turbid fluid; Xieqing Wan (Drain Green Pill) added with Beimu Fritillariae Bulbus, Cangzhu Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Caojueming Semen Cassiae, Renshen Radix Ginseng, Sangbaipi Cortex Mori Radicis can be used, or decocted as a soup.
A case: A child had a tubercle on the upper left lip. Overnight, the tubercle moved to the left cheek, and overnight again to the left eye. The upper eyelid swelled severely like a fist due to pain, and the eyeball suddenly protruded like a tumor, large as a papaya. I prescribed Shigao Pingwei San (Gypsum Stabilize the Stomach Powder) added with 1 qian of Caojueming Semen Cassiae, and 0.5 qian each of Renshen Radix Ginseng and Qingpi Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Viride. After taking more than ten doses, the patient recovered, surprising everyone.
If the eye is struck or pierced, leaving blood traces, leading to the formation of corneal opacity (Yi Mo), Qingxiao San (Light Effect Powder) is indicated. Chaihu Radix Bupleuri, Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Chishao Radix Paeoniae Rubra (wine-fried), Dahuang Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (wine-baked), Xijiao Cornu Rhinocerotis, each 1 qian; Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae 0.5 qian.
(Infantile night crying incessantly, resembling possession)
Chanhua San (Cicada Flower Powder)
Take the lower half of the Cicada Slough (Chansha), grind into powder. For a newborn, administer one zi (a small measure) of the fried powder, mixed with Bohe Herba Menthae water and a little wine; the crying stops immediately. If mistakenly using the upper half ground into powder, the crying resumes as before. This illustrates the profound understanding of ancient scholars regarding natural substances.
Another method: Use fourteen Cicada Sloughs (Chantui), remove head and feet, grind into powder, add one zi of Zhusha Cinnabaris, and administer with honey mixture.
Another method: For a child crying all night, have the father carry the child, secretly cut the neighbor's fence belt with a knife without others knowing. Once the crying stops, return quietly and tie the cut belt; the child will never cry again.
If hoarseness occurs, Qingyin San (Clear Voice Powder) is indicated.

Hezi Pi Pericarpium Terminaliae Chebulae (half raw, half stir-fried, 3 qian), Jiegeng Radix Platycodi (half raw, half processed, 5 qian), Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae (half raw, half honey-roasted, 2 qian), Mutong Caulis Akebiae (half raw, half honey-roasted, 3 qian).
Administer mixed with juice of Shengdi Rehmanniae Radix Preparata. Adding Tianmendong Asparagi Radix, Shanyao Rhizoma Dioscoreae Oppositae, Beimu Fritillariae Bulbus, and Xingren Semen Armeniacae Amarum to this formula is particularly excellent for moistening and tonifying the Lung Meridian.
For epidemic cough and asthma, San'ao Tang (Three Unblocking Decoction) is indicated.

Mahuang Ephedrae Herba, Xingren Semen Armeniacae Amarum, Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae (each 1 qian).
Retain the skins and tips of the apricot seeds and the roots and nodes of the ephedra, presumably to utilize their mild toxicity to resolve phlegm and stop wheezing.
If phlegm is abundant, add Banban Beimu Fritillariae Bulbus (dry-processed) 0.7 qian.
If Qi is deficient, add Renshen Radix Ginseng 0.3–0.4 qian.
If affected by wind-cold, add Chaihu Radix Bupleuri 0.5 qian and Ziyek Perilla Folium 0.3 qian.
If wheezing is severe, add Ziwan Radix Asteris and Kuandonghua Flos Farfarae, each 0.5 qian.
If phlegm is abundant and wheezing is severe, descending Qi transforms phlegm and stops wheezing; Suheli Wan (Storax Pill) taken with honey acts immediately.
