后阴肿肠脱，玉门不闭，取一斗熬黄，以水三斗投入，澄清蒸洗。兼治吐血，血痢，解酸酒毒，暖水脏，又能
伏硫黄，去锡晕，制雄黄、 砂，可用作外柜。凡使，点瘀肉，生用亦可，止血炒红色。雷公用醋浸一宿，火
令腥秽气出，存性研细，古 中及败舡茹，平，主妇人遗尿及崩中吐痢血不止，煮服或烧为末服。余治与锻石
同。
松烟墨
松烟墨辛能止血，善合金疮去目芒，痢下崩中并难产，产后血晕醋摩尝。
烧松节烟和胶作者方可入药，无毒。止血生肌合金疮，主昧目，物芒入目，磨点瞳子上即出。又止血痢，
妇人崩中漏下，难产，子死腹中，胞衣不下，产后血晕，腹痛引腰脊，酒醋童便任摩服之。又治小儿客忤，大
人中恶心腹痛胀。为末，水调服之。丹溪云∶属金而有火，入药甚助补性。汤药磨刺，丸、散火 细研，或水
浸软纸包煨锉。不问徽墨、京墨，油烟任光如漆且香者，勿用。
苏合香
苏合香甘温无毒，除邪去蛊杀三虫，霍乱瘟疟并痫 ，痰厥中气与中风。
《梁书》云∶天竺国出苏合香。是诸香汁合煎之，其形如酥。或云是狮子屎者，非也。除邪气鬼精梦魇，
杀蛊毒，去三虫，破宿血，止心腹痛、霍乱、吐泻、瘟疟、 痫、中风、中气、痰厥、口噤不省，久服通神。
安息香
安息香平辛苦味，去蛊毒辟诸恶气，暖肾涩精无梦交，更和心腹鬼胎疰。
言能安定人之气息也。出波斯国，树脂液也。形若松脂，黑色成块，新者亦柔韧。无毒。
主辟蛊毒及一切恶气，暖肾气，止遗精，夜梦与鬼交，和心腹，定霍乱、鬼胎、血邪、血晕，烧之通神。酒浸
研。
白蜡
白蜡外科之要味，禀金收敛坚凝气，生肌止痛续骨筋，补虚治痨益脾肺。
一名虫蜡，冬青树上细虫，食树液而成者。属金，全禀收敛坚凝之气，外科之要药也。生肌止血定痛，接骨
续筋，得合欢树皮良。补中虚，杀痨虫，止咳止泻，润肺脏，浓肠胃。另研用。
露蜂房
露蜂房味苦咸平，消 乳痈及齿疼，痔漏风疹与癫痫，止女崩中儿咳声。
此即木上黄蜂窠，大者如瓮，小者如桶。其蜂黑色，长寸许，螫牛、马、人乃致死者，用此尤效。人家房
间亦往往有之，但小而力慢，不若山林中得风露气者。故名。有毒。主瘰疠成 作孔，和猪脂调涂。治乳石发
则头痛，烦热，口渴，溺赤，水煎服之，当利诸恶毒，随小便出。风牙肿痛，盐填满孔，烧灰敷之。肠痈痔漏，
皮肤瘾疹瘙痒，火熬，酒调服之。惊痫螈 ，寒热邪气，癫疾，鬼精蛊毒及妇人崩中漏下，小儿咳嗽，喉痹，
并酒调服之。又疗蜂螯肿毒，解诸药毒。《别录》云∶和乱发、蛇蜕，三味烧灰，酒下，主恶疮疽、附骨疽根
在脏腑，历节肿出，疔肿恶脉、诸毒皆瘥。凡使，须十二月采，洗去蜂粪泥土，蒸半日，晒干，炙令焦黄，细
研。恶干姜、丹参、黄芩、芍药、牡蛎。土蜂窠。不入汤药。治痈肿不消；醋调涂，干即易之。
蜂子
蜂子微寒俱有毒，止呕利便和心腹，土蜂消肿制蜘蛛，蜜主吐虫黄面目， 止咳治久聋，房医霍乱乳
调服。
蜂，尾尖利有锋芒也，俱取其房中白如蛹，未成头足时炒用之，亦可以盐炒，日干，寄入京、洛以为方物。
食之者，须以冬瓜、苦 、姜苏以制其毒。大黄蜂，即人家屋上及大木间作房者，专主干呕，心腹胀痛，利大
小便。土蜂，即土穴居者。主痈，嗌痛。又烧灰油调敷蜘蛛咬。此物能食蜘蛛，亦取其相制也。蜜蜂，味甘，
主大小、小儿腹中五虫口吐出者，面目黄，补虚羸伤中，久服益气轻身，令人光泽，兼治头风蛊毒、丹毒风疹、
腹内留热、大小便闭，去浮血、妇人带下，下乳汁。大抵蜂类，性效皆不相远。畏黄芩、芍药、牡蛎。 ，
处处有之。黑色而细腰，虽名土蜂，而不在土中作穴。但HT 土于人家壁间，或器物傍作房如竹管，取他虫于房
中化为已子，《诗》云，螟蛉有子，蜾蠃负之是也。味辛、平，有毒。主久聋，咳逆，呕逆，毒瓦斯出汗。疗鼻
，生捣 竹木刺。入药妙用。其土房主痈肿风头，小儿霍乱吐泻，微炙为末，乳汁下一字即止。又研细醋调，
涂蜂螫。
雀瓮
雀瓮放子名天浆，甘平无毒抹诸疮，小儿惊痫不可缺，撮口风堪刺口傍。
即毛虫房也。好在石榴树上，似蚕而短，背上有五色斑毛，刺人有毒。欲老者口吐白汁，凝聚渐坚硬如雀
卵。其子在瓮中作蛹，久而作蛾，出枝叶上放子复为虫。又曰∶雀好食其瓮中子，故俗间呼为雀儿饭瓮，又名天
浆子。八月采，蒸之。主小儿慢惊，惊痫，寒热结气，蛊毒鬼疰。又小儿撮口不得饮乳者，先刺口傍令见血，
以瓮内汁和鼠妇捣涂之。《局方》皆以粪虫为天浆子，以之治疳则可，若治惊风方须用此也。
蜘蛛
蜘蛛寒毒敷诸疮，背疔瘰 卒脱肛，牙蛀口 腋下臭， 疝奚疳独可尝。
有知觉，吐丝结网，飞虫触则诛之。发背疔疮，先挑四畔血出根露，捣烂醋和敷上，干即易之。瘰 ，无
问有头无头，日干为末，酥调贴之。已有疮口出脓者，烧二七枚干糁。疣赘，取花蜘蛛丝于黄丹中养之，夜
系旦落。卒脱肛及久泻脱肛疼痛，瓦合内烧存性，入黄丹少许为末，先用白矾汤洗净拭干，糁药软处，手掌
托入。牙齿有孔，取壳一枚，绵裹按其内。中风口眼 僻，捣摩颊车上，候正即止。腋下狐臭，用盐泥、赤石
脂为窠子，纳裹蜘蛛，烧为末，入轻粉一字，米醋调，临卧洗净腋下敷之，来早泻下恶汁恶物。以上皆外敷也。
大人、小儿 疝，阴狐疝气，偏有大小，时时上下，小儿下奚疳，三年不能行，烧熟啖之或入丸服。有被毒
蜂、蜈蚣咬者，生置痛处，令吸其毒，其蜘蛛醉死，以冷水浸之即活。蛇蝎咬，捣汁涂之。又七夕日取其网，
置衣领中，疗喜忘。凡使，勿用五色者，要身小尻大，深灰色，腹内有苍黄脓，去头足，研膏用。然此物中人
尤惨，惟饮羊乳可制其毒。若遗尿着人，令生疮癣。壁钱虫，似蜘蛛，在暗壁间作白幕如钱。无毒。主鼻衄及
金疮下血不止，取虫汁点疮上及鼻中。亦疗外野鸡病下血。其钱幕主小儿吐逆，取二七煮汁饮之。
牡鼠
牡鼠味甘平无青，捣 折伤筋骨续，贴诸疮用蜡油煎，肝脑涂针及箭镞，肉热专消小儿疳，粪治儿痫与
劳复。
牡，雄也。其屎两头尖者是，又名 鼠。生捣全身， 折伤止血，续筋骨。又大雄鼠一枚，浑用，清油一
斤，黄丹五两，黄蜡一两，如常法煎成膏药，贴诸疮肿、冻疮、折破疮、汤火疮，去痛而凉，兼灭瘢疵极良。
又治痈疮中冷，疮口不合及蛇刺毒痛，用皮烧灰封之。鼻 出脓血及破伤风，用头烧灰，猪脂调敷。医针人
而针折及箭镞、刀刃、竹木刺入肉，在诸隐处不出者，并捣鼠肝及脑封之即出。又脊骨未长，齿多年不生者效。
四足及尾，主妇人堕胎易出。胆汁，点耳治老聋，点眼治晚不见物，但死即胆消，不可得之。肉，热，无毒。
主骨蒸痨极，四肢羸瘦，杀虫，小儿疳积，肋露腹大，内有 瘕，贪食倍常，大人石水鼓胀，妇人乳汁不通，
去皮骨取肉，和五味作羹，或煮粥食之。但勿令食着骨，甚瘦人。粪，微寒，无毒。主小儿痫疾大腹，伤寒
劳复，室女月水不通，孕妇难产，子死腹中，并烧灰水煮服之。又治鼠 ，以新屎一百粒收置密器中，六十日
杵末，即敷疮孔。 鼠 ，出山都平谷，状如蝙蝠，大如鸱鸢，毛紫色，长尾，夜行飞生，即飞生鸟也。性
温，南人取其皮以为暖帽，或取皮与产妇临蓐持之，堕胎令易产。
皮
皮无毒苦甘平，痔肿连阴及腰疼，止血宽膨除疝积，开胃进食补下停。
，畏也。周身刺利可畏，虽虎野狼亦不敢伤。主五痔肿痛，不问新久，或连阴肿痛及腰背疼，阴蚀血
汁不止，肠风下血，蛊毒下血，并酒煮服之。烧灰绵裹塞鼻，止衄。《日华》云止汗血是也。又腹胀痛、疝积，
烧灰酒下。善开胃气，止吐逆翻胃，令人能食，补下焦弱。《衍义》云∶从虫从胃有义焉。兼治小儿卒惊啼。
凡使，猪蹄者良，鼠脚者次，入药烧灰，或炙黄，或炒黑，或水煮，任入汤、丸。畏桔梗、麦门冬。得酒良。
灵脂可煮五金八石，注耳治聋。肉可五味淹食，治同皮。惟骨食之令人瘦小。又豪猪形似 而大，取其肚并屎
烧干为末，每早空心酒下二钱，有患水病鼓胀者，服此肚一个便愈。但此猪多食苦参，只治热风水胀，不治
冷胀。
石蟹
石蟹无毒味咸寒，痈肿漆疮敷即安，更点青盲并翳眼，熟水摩吞救产难。
海蟹年深水沫相着，因化为石，每遇海潮风飘出，为人所得，疗痈肿漆疮，醋摩敷之。青盲、目淫、
肤翳、下翳，细研水飞，入诸药相佐点之，又催生落胎，止血晕。治天行热病，解一切金石药毒、蛊毒，并水
摩服之。
木鳖
木鳖甘温疗折伤，消肿生肌愈恶疮，面刺乳痈腰强痛，洗痔肿痛连及肛。
形如鳖，出朗州及南中。无毒，主折伤，消结肿、风毒恶疮，生肌，除粉刺 、妇人乳痈，止腰痛，
洗痔疮及肛门肿痛，醋摩消酒毒。
去壳，细锉，麸炒。
羊蹄
羊蹄根苦寒无毒，阴蚀侵淫头上秃，癣疮肿毒醋摩敷，止血杀虫功最速。
叶似羊蹄，高三四尺，茎节间开紫赤花，子名金荞麦，根似牛蒡而坚实，夏中即枯，亦可作菜食。丹溪云∶
属水，走血分。似苦 ，甘而不苦。多食滑大肠，生痒。主头秃，疥癣，肿毒， 疡疽痔，女子阴蚀侵淫，
喉痹不语，并取根，醋摩敷之。除热，杀虫及小儿疳虫，解诸鱼毒、蛊毒，赤白痢，大便不通，肠风下血，并
水煮汁服之。又生捣汁服，治产后风秘。
天名精
天名精寒甘且芳，杀虫消肿敷诸疮，破血止血除诸痹，便难烦渴可煎汤，子如鹤虱平苦味，主蛔咬心痛莫当。
此草得天之精所生，大有灵异。昔人射一麂，剖五脏，以草塞之，蹶然而起，故又名活鹿草。南人呼为火
炊，花实全类 ，但 苦而臭，名精辛且芳，故又名麦句姜，在处有之。夏秋抽条，颇似薄荷，花紫白色，
叶似崧菜而小，无毒。杀小虫，除诸毒，疔疮痔 ，金疮内射，身痒瘾疹不止，揩之立已。主瘀血瘕欲死，
下血止血，利小便，去痹，除胸中结热，止烦渴，逐水大吐下。五月采，阴干。垣衣为使。子，形如鹤虱，
黄黑色，微毒。主蛔虫、蛲虫咬心腹痛，杀虫丸散中为最要药，兼止疟，敷恶疮，入药微炒。
柳华
柳华寒苦退疸黄，根叶皮攻疔肿疮，絮止灸疮痈用实，煎枝含汁治牙良。
从木从卯。一云从酉，古酉字也。二月建卯，逢之而荣，故从卯；八月建酉，逢之而零，故或从酉。柳
初生时，黄蕊子为花，及花干絮方出。絮之下有小黑子，随絮而飞，以絮为花者误矣。花，无毒。主风水黄胆面
热黑，痂疥恶疮，金疮止血，治湿痹，四肢挛急膝痛。叶及枝叶煎膏，涂痈疽肿毒，疔疮，妒乳反花疮，疥痂
漆疮，长肉止痛，续筋骨，煎洗马疥立愈。又治心腹内血作痛，天行热病，传尸骨蒸劳，汤火疮毒入腹，及服
金石药人，发大热闷，并下水气。絮，主止血，贴灸疮良，入池阴处化为浮萍。又多积可捍毡，与小儿卧益佳，
以性凉也。实，主溃痈，逐脓血，子汁疗渴。枝细锉煎汁含之，治齿痛、洗风毒肿痒。
桦木皮
桦木皮苦平无毒，初肿乳痈调酒服，时行热毒豌豆疮，诸黄胆症浓煎熟。
皮有花纹，北来者佳。治乳痈初发，肿痛结核欲破脓者，为末，酒下一钱即睡，一服而愈。伤寒时行热毒，
发豌豆疮及诸黄胆症，浓煮汁饮之良。又烧灰合他药治肺风毒。
黄药
黄药苦平主恶疮， 疮喉痹犬咬伤，取根研汁随含敷，治马原来用此方。
其根初采湿时红赤色，曝干则黄。无毒。主诸恶肿疮 ，喉痹，蛇犬咬毒，取根研，内服外敷，亦治马心
肺热有功。子肉，味酸。治咯血，鼻衄不止。又浸酒服之，治瘿气神效。略消即止，不可过剂。
剪草
剪草专治疥癣痒，祛痨止血效非常，根名白药诸疮用，末调鸡子护胎伤。
剪草，状如茜草、细辛、婺州产者佳。气凉，无毒。治恶疮 蚀，疥癣风痒，浸酒服之。治痨瘵，用末一
斤，蜜二斤，和成膏，不犯铁器，九蒸九晒，每用四两，以匙炒药如粥，五更面东服之，良久进粟米粥压之，
或吐虫而愈。若久病肺损咯血，一服即愈。寻常咳血妄行，服一匙即愈。白药，辛、温，无毒。主诸疮，痈肿
不散，取生根捣敷，或水调干末敷之。金疮折伤敷之，止血定痛生肌。孕妇伤寒护胎，为末，鸡子清调涂脐下。
胎存生处，干即以温水润之。又治胸中热塞，噎痹不通，咽喉肿痛，消痰止嗽，治渴止吐血。解野葛、生金、
巴豆药毒。亦治马肺热药有功。
莽草
莽草苦辛温有毒，头痒喉痹蛀牙风，瘰 诸疮皮肤痹，更消疝瘕杀鱼虫。
生蜀中，似石南而叶稀，无花实，采之作椒气。治头风痒，可用沐，勿令入眼。疗喉痹不通，及蛀牙肿
后阴（肛门）肿胀、直肠脱垂，以及玉门（女性外阴/阴道口）不能闭合，取一斗黄檗熬制浓缩，加入三斗水投入其中，澄清后用蒸汽熏洗。同时可治疗吐血、血痢，解除酸酒中毒，温暖下焦肾脏，又能抑制硫黄的毒性，去除锡锈，制约雄黄和朱砂的毒性，可用于制作外用柜具。凡使用黄檗，点涂瘀肉时生用即可，止血则炒至红色。雷公法要求用醋浸泡一夜，火烤使腥秽气味散发出去，保留药性研细。古方中用于败舡茹（一种陈旧船木或相关药材），性平，主治妇人遗尿及崩中（非经期大量出血）吐血、痢疾出血不止，煮服或烧成粉末服用。其余疗效与锻石相同。
松烟墨
松烟墨味辛能止血，善于治疗金疮（金属利器造成的创伤）并去除眼中芒刺，治疗痢疾、崩中及难产，产后血晕可用醋磨涂抹。
只有将烧松节产生的烟与胶混合制成的才能入药，无毒。具有止血、生肌、愈合金疮的功效，主治目盲、异物芒刺入眼，研磨后点于瞳子上即可排出。又治血痢，妇人崩中漏下，难产，胎儿死于腹中，胎盘不下，产后血晕，腹痛牵引腰脊，可用酒、醋或童便任意调和摩服。又治小儿客忤（外邪侵扰所致的小儿惊风），大人恶心腹痛腹胀。研为粉末，用水调服。丹溪说：它属金而含有火性，入药能极大地辅助补益作用。汤剂需磨汁服用，丸散剂需火焙后细研，或用水浸软后用纸包裹煨熟锉碎。不论徽墨、京墨，只要是油烟制成且光亮如漆、香气浓郁的，不要使用。
苏合香
苏合香味甘性温无毒，能驱除邪气、去除蛊毒、杀灭三虫，治疗霍乱、瘟疫疟疾及癫痫，痰厥、中气与中风。
《梁书》记载：天竺国出产苏合香。是各种香汁合煎而成，形状像酥油。有人说它是狮子粪便，这是不对的。能驱除邪气、鬼精、梦魇，杀灭蛊毒，去除三虫，破除陈旧瘀血，止心腹痛、霍乱、吐泻、瘟疫疟疾、癫痫、中风、中气、痰厥、口噤不省人事，长期服用能通神。
安息香
安息香性平，味辛苦，能去蛊毒、辟除各种恶气，温暖肾脏、固涩精气防止无梦遗精，更能调和心腹部的鬼胎疰病。
意思是它能安定人的气息。出自波斯国，是树脂液。形状像松脂，黑色成块，新的也柔韧。无毒。
主要功效是辟除蛊毒及一切恶气，温暖肾气，止遗精，夜间做梦与鬼交合，调和心腹，定霍乱、鬼胎、血邪、血晕，燃烧可通神。用酒浸泡后研磨。
白蜡
白蜡是外科的重要药物，禀受金的收敛坚凝之气，能生肌止痛、接续骨筋，补虚劳、治疗痨病、益脾肺。
又名虫蜡，是生长在冬青树上的细小虫子，食用树液而成的。属金，完全禀受收敛坚凝之气，是外科的要药。能生肌止血定痛，接骨续筋，配合合欢树皮效果良好。补中气虚弱，杀灭痨虫，止咳止泻，润肺脏，增厚肠胃。另研细末使用。
露蜂房
露蜂房味苦咸性平，能消散乳痈及牙疼，治疗痔漏、风疹与癫痫，止女子崩中及小儿咳嗽声。
这就是长在树上的黄蜂巢，大的像瓮，小的像桶。其中的蜂黑色，长约一寸多，蛰伤牛、马、人甚至致死的，用此药尤其有效。人家房间里也往往有，但体积小效力慢，不如山林中经受风露之气的好。因此得名。有毒。主治瘰疠成孔，与猪脂调和涂抹。治疗乳石发动引起的头痛、烦热、口渴、尿赤，水煎服之，会排出各种恶毒，随小便排出。风牙肿痛，用盐填满蜂房孔洞，烧成灰敷之。肠痈痔漏，皮肤瘾疹瘙痒，用火熬制，酒调服之。惊痫抽搐，寒热邪气，癫疾，鬼精蛊毒及妇人崩中漏下，小儿咳嗽，喉痹，都用酒调服之。又治疗蜂螯肿毒，解各种药物中毒。《别录》记载：与乱发、蛇蜕三味烧成灰，酒送下，主治恶疮疽、附骨疽根在脏腑，历节肿出，疔肿恶脉、各种毒疮都能痊愈。凡使用，须在十二月采集，洗去蜂粪泥土，蒸半天，晒干，炙令焦黄，细研。忌干姜、丹参、黄芩、芍药、牡蛎。土蜂窠不入汤药。治疗痈肿不消；醋调涂，干了就换。

雀瓮
雀瓮中的子名叫天浆子，味甘平无毒，涂抹各种疮疡，小儿惊痫不可缺，撮口风可以刺口旁治疗。

有知觉，吐丝结网，飞虫触网则诛杀之。发背疔疮，先挑四畔血出根露，捣烂醋和敷上，干了就换。瘰疬，无论有头无头，日干为末，酥调贴之。已有疮口出脓的，烧七枚干撒。疣赘，取花蜘蛛丝养于黄丹中，晚上系上早上取下。卒脱肛及久泻脱肛疼痛，瓦合内烧存性，入少许黄丹为末，先用白矾汤洗净拭干，撒药在软处，手掌托入。牙齿有孔，取壳一枚，绵裹按其内。中风口眼歪斜，捣摩颊车上，好了就停。腋下狐臭，用盐泥、赤石脂做窝，纳裹蜘蛛，烧为末，入轻粉一字，米醋调，临卧洗净腋下敷之，来早泻下恶汁恶物。以上皆外敷也。大人、小儿狐疝，阴狐疝气，偏有大小，时时上下，小儿下奚疳，三年不能行，烧熟吃或入丸服。有被毒蜂、蜈蚣咬的，生置痛处，令吸其毒，蜘蛛醉死，以冷水浸之即活。蛇蝎咬，捣汁涂之。又七夕日取其网，置衣领中，疗喜忘。凡使用，勿用五色者，要身小尻大，深灰色，腹内有苍黄脓，去头足，研膏用。然此物中人尤惨，惟饮羊乳可制其毒。若遗尿着人，令生疮癣。壁钱虫，似蜘蛛，在暗壁间作白幕如钱。无毒。主鼻衄及金疮下血不止，取虫汁点疮上及鼻中。亦疗外野鸡病下血。其钱幕主小儿吐逆，取二七煮汁饮之。
牡鼠
牡鼠味甘平无青色，捣碎治折伤筋骨续，贴诸疮用蜡油煎，肝脑涂针及箭镞，肉热专消小儿疳，粪治儿痫与劳复。
牡，雄也。其屎两头尖的是，又名耗鼠。生捣全身，治折伤止血，续筋骨。又大雄鼠一枚，浑用，清油一斤，黄丹五两，黄蜡一两，如常法煎成膏药，贴诸疮肿、冻疮、折破疮、汤火疮，去痛而凉，兼灭瘢痕极良。又治痈疮中冷，疮口不合及蛇刺毒痛，用皮烧灰封之。鼻息肉出脓血及破伤风，用头烧灰，猪脂调敷。医针刺人而针折及箭镞、刀刃、竹木刺入肉，在诸隐处不出者，并捣鼠肝及脑封之即出。又脊骨未长，齿多年不生者效。四足及尾，主妇人堕胎易出。胆汁，点耳治老聋，点眼治晚不见物，但死即胆消，不可得之。肉，热，无毒。主骨蒸痨极，四肢羸瘦，杀虫，小儿疳积，肋露腹大，内有癥瘕，贪食倍常，大人石水鼓胀，妇人乳汁不通，去皮骨取肉，和五味作羹，或煮粥食之。但勿令食着骨，甚瘦人。粪，微寒，无毒。主小儿痫疾大腹，伤寒劳复，室女月水不通，孕妇难产，子死腹中，并烧灰水煮服之。又治鼠瘘，以新屎一百粒收置密器中，六十日杵末，即敷疮孔。鼠瘘，出山都平谷，状如蝙蝠，大如鸱鸢，毛紫色，长尾，夜行飞生，即飞生鸟也。性温，南人取其皮以为暖帽，或取皮与产妇临蓐持之，堕胎令易产。
蝟皮
蝟皮无毒苦甘平，痔肿连阴及腰疼，止血宽膨除疝积，开胃进食补下停。
蝟，畏也。周身刺利可畏，虽虎野狼亦不敢伤。主五痔肿痛，不问新久，或连阴肿痛及腰背疼，阴蚀血汁不止，肠风下血，蛊毒下血，并酒煮服之。烧灰绵裹塞鼻，止衄。《日华》云止汗血是也。又腹胀痛、疝积，烧灰酒下。善开胃气，止吐逆翻胃，令人能食，补下焦弱。《衍义》云∶从虫从胃有义焉。兼治小儿卒惊啼。凡使，猪蹄者良，鼠脚者次，入药烧灰，或炙黄，或炒黑，或水煮，任入汤、丸。畏桔梗、麦门冬。得酒良。灵脂可煮五金八石，注耳治聋。肉可五味淹食，治同皮。惟骨食之令人瘦小。又豪猪形似蝟而大，取其肚并屎烧干为末，每早空心酒下二钱，有患水病鼓胀者，服此肚一个便愈。但此猪多食苦参，只治热风水胀，不治冷胀。
石蟹
石蟹无毒味咸寒，痈肿漆疮敷即安，更点青盲并翳眼，熟水摩吞救产难。
海蟹年深水沫相着，因化为石，每遇海潮风飘出，为人所得，疗痈肿漆疮，醋摩敷之。青盲、目淫、肤翳、下翳，细研水飞，入诸药相佐点之，又催生落胎，止血晕。治天行热病，解一切金石药毒、蛊毒，并水摩服之。
木鳖
木鳖甘温疗折伤，消肿生肌愈恶疮，面刺乳痈腰强痛，洗痔肿痛连及肛。
形如鳖，出朗州及南中。无毒，主折伤，消结肿、风毒恶疮，生肌，除粉刺、妇人乳痈，止腰痛，洗痔疮及肛门肿痛，醋摩消酒毒。
去壳，细锉，麸炒。
羊蹄
羊蹄根苦寒无毒，阴蚀侵淫头上秃，癣疮肿毒醋摩敷，止血杀虫功最速。
叶似羊蹄，高三四尺，茎节间开紫赤花，子名金荞麦，根似牛蒡而坚实，夏中即枯，亦可作菜食。丹溪云∶属水，走血分。似苦荬，甘而不苦。多食滑大肠，生痒。主头秃，疥癣，肿毒，疡疽痔，女子阴蚀侵淫，喉痹不语，并取根，醋摩敷之。除热，杀虫及小儿疳虫，解诸鱼毒、蛊毒，赤白痢，大便不通，肠风下血，并水煮汁服之。又生捣汁服，治产后风秘。
天名精
天名精寒甘且芳，杀虫消肿敷诸疮，破血止血除诸痹，便难烦渴可煎汤，子如鹤虱平苦味，主蛔咬心痛莫当。
此草得天之精所生，大有灵异。昔人射一麂，剖五脏，以草塞之，蹶然而起，故又名活鹿草。南人呼为火炊，花实全类荬，但荬苦而臭，名精辛且芳，故又名麦句姜，在处有之。夏秋抽条，颇似薄荷，花紫白色，叶似崧菜而小，无毒。杀小虫，除诸毒，疔疮痔漏，金疮内射，身痒瘾疹不止，揩之立已。主瘀血瘕欲死，下血止血，利小便，去痹，除胸中结热，止烦渴，逐水大吐下。五月采，阴干。垣衣为使。子，形如鹤虱，黄黑色，微毒。主蛔虫、蛲虫咬心腹痛，杀虫丸散中为最要药，兼止疟，敷恶疮，入药微炒。
柳华
柳华寒苦退疸黄，根叶皮攻疔肿疮，絮止灸疮痈用实，煎枝含汁治牙良。
从木从卯。一云从酉，古酉字也。二月建卯，逢之而荣，故从卯；八月建酉，逢之而零，故或从酉。柳初生时，黄蕊子为花，及花干絮方出。絮之下有小黑子，随絮而飞，以絮为花者误矣。花，无毒。主风水黄胆面热黑，痂疥恶疮，金疮止血，治湿痹，四肢挛急膝痛。叶及枝叶煎膏，涂痈疽肿毒，疔疮，妒乳反花疮，疥痂漆疮，长肉止痛，续筋骨，煎洗马疥立愈。又治心腹内血作痛，天行热病，传尸骨蒸劳，汤火疮毒入腹，及服金石药人，发大热闷，并下水气。絮，主止血，贴灸疮良，入池阴处化为浮萍。又多积可捍毡，与小儿卧益佳，以性凉也。实，主溃痈，逐脓血，子汁疗渴。枝细锉煎汁含之，治齿痛、洗风毒肿痒。
桦木皮
桦木皮苦平无毒，初肿乳痈调酒服，时行热毒豌豆疮，诸黄胆症浓煎熟。
皮有花纹，北来者佳。治乳痈初发，肿痛结核欲破脓者，为末，酒下一钱即睡，一服而愈。伤寒时行热毒，发豌豆疮及诸黄胆症，浓煮汁饮之良。又烧灰合他药治肺风毒。
黄药
黄药苦平主恶疮，臁疮喉痹犬咬伤，取根研汁随含敷，治马原来用此方。
其根初采湿时红赤色，曝干则黄。无毒。主诸恶肿疮臁，喉痹，蛇犬咬毒，取根研，内服外敷，亦治马心肺热有功。子肉，味酸。治咯血，鼻衄不止。又浸酒服之，治瘿气神效。略消即止，不可过剂。
剪草
剪草专治疥癣痒，祛痨止血效非常，根名白药诸疮用，末调鸡子护胎伤。
剪草，状如茜草、细辛、婺州产者佳。气凉，无毒。治恶疮蚀，疥癣风痒，浸酒服之。治痨瘵，用末一斤，蜜二斤，和成膏，不犯铁器，九蒸九晒，每用四两，以匙炒药如粥，五更面东服之，良久进粟米粥压之，或吐虫而愈。若久病肺损咯血，一服即愈。寻常咳血妄行，服一匙即愈。白药，辛、温，无毒。主诸疮，痈肿不散，取生根捣敷，或水调干末敷之。金疮折伤敷之，止血定痛生肌。孕妇伤寒护胎，为末，鸡子清调涂脐下。胎存生处，干即以温水润之。又治胸中热塞，噎痹不通，咽喉肿痛，消痰止嗽，治渴止吐血。解野葛、生金、巴豆药毒。亦治马肺热药有功。
莽草
莽草苦辛温有毒，头痒喉痹蛀牙风，瘰疬诸疮皮肤痹，更消疝瘕杀鱼虫。
生蜀中，似石南而叶稀，无花实，采之作椒气。治头风痒，可用沐，勿令入眼。疗喉痹不通，及蛀牙肿
Posterior anus swelling, rectal prolapse, and failure of the Yumen (female external genitalia/vaginal opening) to close: Take one dou of Cortex Phellodendri (Huangbo, 黄檗), boil it down, add three dou of water, clarify, and use the steam for washing. It also treats hematemesis (vomiting blood), bloody dysentery, resolves sour alcohol toxicity, warms the lower jiao kidney, suppresses the toxicity of sulfur, removes tin rust, controls the toxicity of Realgar (Xionghuang, 雄黄) and Cinnabar (Zhusha, 砂), and can be used for making external cabinets. When using Cortex Phellodendri, apply raw to treat hyperplastic tissue; stir-fry until red to stop bleeding. Lei Gong's method requires soaking in vinegar overnight, heating to remove fishy and foul odors, retaining the medicinal nature, and grinding finely. In ancient texts, it is used for Bai Chuang Ru (decayed boat wood), with a neutral nature, treating urinary incontinence in women, metrorrhagia (heavy non-menstrual bleeding), persistent hematemesis and bloody diarrhea; decoct or take as powder after calcination. Other effects are similar to Calcined Hematite (Duanshi, 锻石).
Pine Soot Ink
Pine soot ink has a pungent flavor that stops bleeding, excels at healing metal wounds and removing foreign bodies from the eyes, treats dysentery, metrorrhagia, and difficult labor, and postpartum blood syncope can be treated by rubbing with vinegar.
Only pine soot mixed with glue can be used medicinally; it is non-toxic. It stops bleeding, generates flesh, heals metal wounds, treats blindness, and removes foreign bodies from the eyes when ground and applied to the pupil. It also treats bloody dysentery, metrorrhagia and leukorrhea in women, difficult labor, fetal death in utero, retained placenta, postpartum blood syncope, abdominal pain radiating to the waist and spine; mix with wine, vinegar, or children's urine for application or ingestion. It treats infantile convulsion due to external pathogenic factors, and adult nausea, abdominal pain, and distension. Grind into powder and take with water. Danxi stated: It belongs to Metal but contains Fire; when taken medicinally, it greatly assists tonification. For decoctions, grind and take the juice; for pills and powders, heat-roast and grind finely, or soak in water, wrap in paper, and bake until soft before cutting. Do not use Hui or Jing ink that is glossy like lacquer and fragrant.
Styrax Resin (Suhe Xiang)
Styrax resin has a sweet flavor and warm nature, is non-toxic, dispels evil qi, removes gu poison, kills three parasites, and treats cholera, epidemic malaria, epilepsy, phlegm syncope, qi stagnation, and wind-stroke.
According to "Book of Liang," Styrax comes from India. It is made by boiling various resins, resembling butter. Some say it is lion feces, which is incorrect. It dispels evil qi, ghost essences, and nightmares, kills gu poison, removes three parasites, breaks old blood stasis, stops heart and abdominal pain, cholera, vomiting and diarrhea, epidemic malaria, epilepsy, wind-stroke, qi stagnation, phlegm syncope, locked jaw and unconsciousness; long-term use enhances spiritual clarity.
Benzoin (Anxi Xiang)
Benzoin has a neutral nature and pungent-bitter flavor, removes gu poison, repels evil qi, warms the kidney, astringes essence to prevent nocturnal emission, and harmonizes heart and abdominal ghost fetus conditions.
It means it can stabilize human breath. It comes from Persia and is a resinous liquid. It resembles pine resin, forms black blocks, and remains flexible when new. It is non-toxic.
It mainly repels gu poison and all evil qi, warms kidney qi, stops seminal emission, prevents nocturnal emissions with ghosts, harmonizes the heart and abdomen, stabilizes cholera, ghost fetus, blood evil, and blood syncope; burning it enhances spiritual clarity. Soak in wine and grind.
Beeswax (Bai La)
Beeswax is an important herb for surgery, inheriting the contracting and consolidating energy of Metal; it generates flesh, stops pain, reconnects bones and tendons, tonifies deficiency, treats consumption, and benefits the spleen and lungs.
Also known as insect wax, it is produced by small insects on wintergreen trees feeding on tree sap. It belongs to Metal, fully inheriting contracting and consolidating energy, and is a key surgical herb. It generates flesh, stops bleeding, and relieves pain; reconnects bones and tendons, especially effective with Albizia Bark (Hehuan Pi). It tonifies middle jiao deficiency, kills consumption worms, stops cough and diarrhea, moistens the lung, and thickens the intestines and stomach. Grind separately before use.
Paper Wasp Nest (Lu Feng Fang)
Paper wasp nest has a bitter-salty flavor and neutral nature, dissipates mastitis and toothache, treats hemorrhoids, fistulas, wind-rash, and epilepsy, stops metrorrhagia in women, and pediatric cough.
This is the yellow jacket nest on trees, large ones like jars, small ones like buckets. The wasps are black, about an inch long; they can sting cattle, horses, and humans to death, making this herb particularly effective. They are often found in houses, but those smaller and weaker are inferior to those in forests exposed to wind and dew, hence the name. It is toxic. It treats scrofula forming holes, mixed with lard for topical application. It treats headache, fever, thirst, and dark urine caused by mineral drug reactions; decoct in water to expel toxins via urination. For gum swelling and pain, fill holes with salt, burn to ash, and apply. For intestinal abscesses, hemorrhoidal fistulas, and skin rashes with itching, fire-roast and take with wine. For convulsions, cold-heat alternating pathogens, epilepsy, ghost essences, gu poison, metrorrhagia and leukorrhea in women, pediatric cough, and throat obstruction, take with wine. It also treats bee sting swelling and resolves various drug toxicities. "Ben Cao Jing Jiu Yi" states: Mix with human hair, snake skin, burn to ash, and take with wine to treat severe ulcers, osteomyelitis rooted in organs, joint swelling, carbuncles, and various toxins. Collect in December, wash away bee feces and dirt, steam for half a day, dry, roast until yellow, and grind finely. Avoid Dried Ginger, Salvia Miltiorrhiza, Scutellaria, Paeonia, and Oyster Shell. Earth wasp nests are not used in decoctions. For unresolved abscesses, mix with vinegar, apply, and change when dry.
Bee Larvae (Feng Zi)
Bee larvae are slightly cold and toxic, stop vomiting, regulate bowels, harmonize the heart and abdomen; earth wasps reduce swelling and counteract spider bites; honey treats worm expulsion and yellow complexion, stops cough, treats chronic deafness; wasp nests treat cholera mixed with milk.
The term "feng" refers to the sharp stinger. Use the white pupae-like larvae before head and feet form, stir-fried or salt-fried, dried. Consuming them requires winter melon, bitter melon, ginger, and perilla to counteract toxicity. The giant hornet builds nests on roofs and large trees; it treats retching, abdominal distension and pain, and regulates bowel/bladder movements. The earth wasp lives in soil burrows; it treats abscesses and sore throat. Burned ash mixed with oil treats spider bites, as these wasps eat spiders. Honeybee is sweet; it treats five internal worms expelled by adults and children, yellow complexion, tonifies weakness, improves vitality and complexion with long-term use, treats wind-stroke, gu poison, erysipelas, wind-rash, internal heat, constipation, floating blood, leukorrhea, and promotes lactation. Generally, bee products have similar properties. Avoid Scutellaria, Paeonia, and Oyster Shell. Guoluo (a type of wasp) is common everywhere. Black with a thin waist, though called earth wasp, it does not burrow in soil but builds tube-like nests on walls or objects, capturing other insects to feed its young ("Mingling has sons, Guoluo carries them"). It is pungent, neutral, and toxic. Treats chronic deafness, cough, vomiting, and toxin sweating. Treats nasal polyps; fresh crushed bamboo/thorn splinters. Its earth nest treats abscesses, wind headaches, pediatric cholera and diarrhea; lightly roasted powder taken with milk stops symptoms. Mixed with vinegar, it treats bee stings.
Sparrow Pot (Que Weng)
The seed inside the sparrow pot is called Tian Jiang Zi, sweet, neutral, non-toxic, smears various sores; essential for pediatric convulsions and epilepsy; can be pricked around the mouth for tetanus neonatorum.
It is the house of hairy caterpillars, preferring pomegranate trees. Shorter than silkworms, with colorful bristles that sting and cause toxicity. As it matures, it exudes white fluid that hardens like a sparrow egg. The larva pupates inside, eventually emerging as a moth to lay eggs. Sparrows eat the larvae, hence the name "Sparrow Rice Pot" or "Heavenly Nectar." Collect in August, steam. Treats pediatric slow convulsion, epilepsy, cold-heat qi stagnation, gu poison, and ghost diseases. For infants unable to suckle due to locked jaw, prick around the mouth to draw blood, mix pot juice with Ground Beetle, and apply. "Ju Fang" uses dung beetles as Tian Jiang Zi for malnutrition, but for convulsions, use the sparrow pot larva.
Spider
Spiders are cold and toxic, applied to sores; treat back carbuncles, scrofula, sudden rectal prolapse, dental caries, halitosis, axillary odor, hernia, and pediatric groin sores.
They have perception, spin webs, and kill flying insects. For back carbuncles, puncture edges to bleed, expose root, crush, mix with vinegar, and apply; change when dry. For scrofula, regardless of presence of head, dry, powder, mix with butter, and apply. For suppurating wounds, burn seven units, dry, and sprinkle. For warts, keep flower spider silk in lead oxide, tie at night, remove in morning. For sudden or chronic rectal prolapse with pain, burn in pottery until charred, mix with lead oxide, clean with alum water, apply powder, and manually reduce. For dental cavities, wrap shell fragment in cotton and press inside. For facial paralysis, massage Jaw Master point until corrected. For axillary osmidrosis, make a nest with salt mud and red kaolin, insert spider, burn to powder, add calomel, mix with rice vinegar, apply to armpit at night, and purge toxins in morning. All are topical. For adult/pediatric hernia, testicular hernia varying in size, or pediatric groin sores preventing walking for three years, cook and eat or make pills. If bitten by venomous bees or centipedes, place live spider on wound to absorb toxin; if spider dies, revive in cold water. For snake/scorpion bites, crush and apply juice. On Qixi Festival, place web in collar to treat forgetfulness. Use small, dark gray spiders with large rear ends and yellowish-green pus in abdomen; remove head and legs, grind into paste. Sheep milk counters spider toxicity. Spider urine causes sores/rashes. Wall money insect resembles spider, spins white web like a coin in dark corners; non-toxic. Treats epistaxis and uncontrolled bleeding from metal wounds; apply insect juice to wound/nose. Also treats vaginal bleeding. Web decoction treats pediatric vomiting.
Male Rat (Mu Shu)
Male rat meat is sweet, neutral, no green color; crush to heal fractures and connect bones; apply to sores with wax oil; liver and brain extract needle/arrowheads; meat clears pediatric malnutrition; feces treat epilepsy and fatigue recurrence.
"Mu" means male. Feces with pointed ends are used. Crush whole body fresh to stop bleeding from trauma and reconnect bones. One large male rat, one jin clear oil, five liang lead monoxide, one liang yellow wax, boiled into plaster for sores, frostbite, fractures, burns; relieves pain, cools, and reduces scars. For cold abscesses, non-healing wounds, snake bite pain, apply burned skin ash. For nasal polyps with pus/blood or tetanus, burn head, mix with pig fat. For broken needles/arrows/splinters stuck deep, apply crushed liver/brain to extract. Effective for delayed bone/tooth development. Feet/tail facilitate miscarriage delivery. Bile treats deafness and night blindness (bile disappears after death). Meat is hot, non-toxic; treats bone-steaming consumption, emaciation, kills worms, treats pediatric malnutrition with rib protrusion and distended belly, excessive appetite, adult stone-water edema, and lactation obstruction. Cook with five flavors or make porridge. Do not eat bones, as it causes emaciation. Feces are slightly cold, non-toxic; treat pediatric epilepsy with large abdomen, typhoid fatigue recurrence, amenorrhea in unmarried women, dystocia, fetal death; burn ash, decoct in water. For rat瘘 (scrofula/fistula), store 100 fresh feces pellets in sealed container for 60 days, grind, apply to wound. Rat瘘 originates from mountains, bat-like, purple fur, long tail, nocturnal flyer. Warm nature; southern people use skin for warm hats or hold during labor to facilitate delivery.
Porcupine Skin (Wei Pi)
Porcupine skin is non-toxic, bitter-sweet, neutral; treats hemorrhoids swelling connecting to genitals and back pain, stops bleeding, reduces distension, removes hernia accumulation, opens stomach, aids digestion, tonifies lower jiao.
"Wei" implies fear; its quills are dangerous, deterring tigers and wolves. Treats painful hemorrhoids, new or old, with genital/back pain, genital erosion with bleeding, intestinal wind bleeding, gu poison bleeding; decoct in wine. Burned ash wrapped in cotton stuffed in nose stops epistaxis. "Ri Hua" says it stops sweat bleeding. For abdominal pain and hernia, burn ash, take with wine. Opens stomach qi, stops vomiting/regurgitation, promotes appetite, tonifies lower jiao. "Yan Yi" notes the character combines insect and stomach. Also treats sudden infant crying. Use pig trotter skin best, rat foot skin secondary. Prepare by burning to ash, roasting yellow, charring, or decocting; suitable for decoctions/pills. Avoid Platycodon and Ophiopogon. Enhances efficacy with wine. Lead monoxide can melt metals; bile treats deafness. Meat edible with five flavors, same effect as skin. Bones cause emaciation. Hedgehog resembles porcupine but larger; burn belly and feces to powder, take two qian with empty stomach wine for water retention/edema. However, hedgehogs eat Sophora flavescens, treating only heat-type edema, not cold-type.
Stone Crab (Shi Xie)
Stone crab is non-toxic, salty-cold; soothes abscesses and lacquer dermatitis upon application; treats blind eye and cataracts when instilled; saved dystocia when rubbed in warm water and swallowed.
Formed when sea crabs die and foam solidifies into stones over years, washed ashore by tides. Rub with vinegar for abscesses/lacquer dermatitis. Grind fine, water-classify, mix with other herbs for eye drops for blindness/corneal opacity. Promotes labor, expels fetus, stops bleeding syncope. Treats epidemic febrile diseases, resolves mineral/gu poison toxicity; rub with water and ingest.
Momordica Charantia Seed (Mu Bie)
Momordica seed is sweet-warm; treats fractures, reduces swelling, generates flesh, heals malignant sores, treats facial acne, mastitis, stiff back pain, and hemorrhoid swelling connecting to anus.
Resembles turtle, from Langzhou and southern regions. Non-toxic. Treats fractures, reduces nodular swelling, wind-toxin malignant sores, generates flesh, removes acne, treats female mastitis, stops back pain, washes hemorrhoids/anus swelling, rubs with vinegar to resolve alcohol toxicity.
Remove shell, slice fine, stir-fry with bran.
Akebia Root (Yang Ti)

Flowers/fruits resemble Sonchus, but Sonchus is bitter/foul, while Tian Ming Jing is pungent/aromatic, hence "Mai Ju Jiang." Common everywhere.
