Yilao’s Weifeng Tang (Stomach Wind Decoction) nourishes blood and softens the liver, tonifies the spleen and harmonizes the stomach. It contains not a single wind-dispelling herb, yet its therapeutic method is particularly exquisite. This is because excessive Liver Wood stirs and generates internal wind, invading the Stomach and overcoming the Spleen, thus presenting symptoms such as undigested food diarrhea (Sunxie) and intestinal wind bleeding. Once the Liver Wood is harmonized, the internal wind naturally subsides. In contrast, Dongyuan’s Weifeng Tang uses purely wind-dispelling herbs, and its drying nature is excessive, falling far short of the ideal approach.

Form into pills using wheat paste.
This formula treats phlegm and blood stasis in addition to wind-cold-dampness. Danxi originally referred to it as a "generalist agent" (Tongji), merely citing it to demonstrate a general principle. Diseases may be confined to specific meridians; one must prescribe formulas according to the specific syndrome. One must not use such generalist agents indiscriminately, lest they damage healthy parts of the body.

Grind into coarse powder, place in a silk bag, soak in 30 jin of non-ashy wine, boil until ready, remove the fire-toxicity, and consume. Take several times daily, maintaining a state of mild intoxication continuously.
This medicinal liquor is quite effective in dispelling wind and promoting diuresis to resolve dampness, making it suitable for excess syndromes. For those with Qi deficiency, Qi-tonifying herbs should be added; for those with Blood deficiency, Blood-nourishing herbs should be added.
