Treats the same syndrome as mentioned previously.
Huangqin (8 qian, half stir-fried with wine, half raw) Zhimu Huangbai (stir-fried with wine) Longdancao (stir-fried with wine) Huafen (washed with wine) Jiegeng (washed and stir-fried, 3 qian)
Decoct. Take hot after meals.
This consists of herbs for the Hand-Shaoyang, Foot-Shaoyang, and Foot-Yangming meridians. Chaihu and Lianqiao clear heat and dissipate nodules; Shengma and Gegen detoxify and raise yang; Huafen and Jiegeng clear the lungs and expel pus; Guiwei and Shaoyao moisten the liver and invigorate blood; Gancao harmonizes the middle jiao and transforms toxins; Kunbu resolves phlegm and softens hardness; Sanleng and Ezhu break up blood stasis and move qi (Sanleng breaks up qi within blood); Ezhu breaks up qi within blood; Huangqin, Huangbai, Lianqiao, Longdancao, and Zhimu greatly purge fire from the Triple Burner, while Jiegeng also carries the other herbs upward.
Treats all types of Ding sores, Yong abscesses, and malignant ulcers in their initial stage; or those that appear black and hidden, with toxic vapors attacking inward.
Tiannanxing Xionghuang Badou (oil removed, 1 qian) Huangdan Ruxiang Sharen Xinshi (5 fen) Banmao (16 pieces, heads and feet removed, stir-fried) Shexiang (a small amount). Grind into powder, mix with Chansu to form pills the size of wheat grains. Take 10 pills or 14-15 pills per dose, adjusting according to the patient's deficiency or excess.
This is a medication that circulates through the twelve meridians. When toxic vapors attack inward and sores become black and sunken, mild agents cannot overcome them. Tiannanxing, Xionghuang, and Huangdan are pungent and dry in nature, able to attack evil substances (Banmao can drain toxins via urine; Badou can drain toxins via feces); Xinshi is drying and fierce (captures phlegm); Shexiang is aromatic and penetrating, opening orifices; Ruxiang allows toxic vapors to exit outward, preventing internal attack. Guided by wine, it enables movement through the meridians, draining all toxins. This is a harsh agent, as stated: "If the medicine does not cause dizziness/discomfort, the severe disease will not be cured." Such agents exemplify this (Yuji Wei Yi states: This formula is commonly used by laypeople. However, aromatic, penetrating, drying, and toxic agents reach every meridian, preparing for sweating, vomiting, and purging methods. If the cause is toxicity from consuming poultry/beasts or sores, with a deep, fine, tight, or rapid pulse, indicating toxin accumulation internally accompanied by damp-toxin, using this formula yields miraculous results; if there is severe heat and thirst, toxin dispersion on the exterior, with a floating and large pulse on the exterior, or in individuals with accumulated heat from rich foods, it should not be used lightly; people often fail to distinguish these conditions. Some substitute Banxia for Xionghuang...)
