Mainly clears heat and directs qi downward, lengthens tendons, strengthens the waist and spine, enhances physical fitness, strengthens willpower and spirit, lightens the body, and suppresses hunger. Jerky treats chills, fever, flaccidity, and bi-syndrome (painful obstruction). Feces, named Matong, slightly warm. Treats uterine flooding in women, stops thirst, and stops hematemesis, hematochezia, epistaxis, and traumatic wounds caused by metal instruments, promoting hemostasis. Skull bone treats somnolence (excessive sleepiness), inducing wakefulness. Urine is pungent, slightly cold. Non-toxic. Harvested during the upper fu period in June, dried in the shade for one hundred days. Gallbladder mainly treats scabies and ulcers, and malignant sores. Heart treats melancholic and resentful qi, dispels evil pathogens. Brain treats bi-pain, heals sores in the lower body, and nasal polyps. Teeth treat epilepsy, chills and fever, and sudden wind-stroke with paralysis; harvested on fu days. Skull bone mainly treats traumatic bleeding. Four hooves, boiled and drunk, promote lactation. Blood of White Dog, salty in flavor, non-toxic. Treats the onset of manic-depressive psychosis. Meat, salty and sour, calms the five zang organs, repairs severe injuries, lightens the body, and tonifies qi. Bone within feces treats chills and fever, and infantile epilepsy.
Additionally, ash of dog bone mainly treats dysentery, generates flesh, and is applied externally to horse sores. Blood of Black Dog mainly treats difficult labor with malpresentation, where blood rushes upward affecting the heart.
