- Gu Yong (Bone Carbuncle): failed Liuzhu. Long duration, bone decay, thin serum, foul muscle. Extreme Yin/Cold. Add Fuzi. Tonify Kidney requires Fuzi to solidify Kidney, giving life to bone, preventing attachment to bone.
- Yong/Ju caused by Qi/Blood stagnation. Young people with strong Qi/Blood: reduce Danggui to prevent continuous recurrence.
- Phlegm in Yong/Ju: Cold type add Shengjiang, Banxia, Chenpi. Heat type add Jiegeng, Xuanshen.

Hong Neixiao (5 liang roasted = Zijing Pi/Red Inner Eliminator/Bauhinia Bark) Duhuo (Angelica Pubescens Root, 3 liang roasted) Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica Root, 1 liang) Mulaxi (Wood Wax? Note: Text says "Mu La", identified as Wangjian Xiao/Yangchun Xue = Shichangpu/Acorus Rhizome, 1 cun 9 nodes best, adjust as needed) Chi Shaoyao (Red Peony Root, 2 liang roasted)
Grind five ingredients to fine powder. Usage detailed below. All sores arise from Qi/Blood stagnation. Zijing Pi is essence of Wood, breaks Qi, drives Blood, reduces swelling. Duhuo is essence of Earth, guides Qi, moves Blood, dispels Wind, pulls cold toxin from bone, removes damp bi from muscle. Mulaxi breaks stone-like hardness like magic. Chi Shaoyao is essence of Fire, stops pain, moves Blood, generates Blood, dispels Wind. Mulaxi is essence of Water, reduces swelling, stops pain, disperses Blood. Baizhi is essence of Metal, dispels Wind, generates flesh, stops pain. Flesh generation prevents necrosis; Blood movement unblocks meridians. Necrosis prevents foul smell; Blood movement prevents swelling/pain. Thus: Wind disperses, Blood scatters; Qi flows, hardness removes. Human body tissues (skin, flesh, tendon, bone, blood) correspond to Five Elements' essences. Must remove them.
- Extreme heat: Double Zijing Pi, reduce Mulaxi. Extreme cold: Reduce Chi Shaoyao/Duhuo to move Blood/disperse Wind without damaging constitution.
- Extreme heat: Do not use wine. Use Scallion decoction, apply hot. If heat subsides, use wine (wine generates/moves Blood).
- Small sores on surface: Apply four ingredients first, then cover with Mulaxi mixture, extending beyond edges to cut off blood supply attack route. Always apply hot to disperse Qi/Blood. If dry, moisten with original decoction to keep moist.
- Black halo/no blood color at sore: Overuse of cooling meds previously. Add Rougui (Cinnamon Bark), Danggui to revive dead Blood, black halo recedes. Once blood returns, use main formula.
- Unstopping pain: Add Ruxiang, Moyao, dissolve in wine in clay pot, mix with powder, apply hot to pain site.
- Liuzhu with stiff tendons: Apply Ruxiang/Moyao with wine as above to relax tendons/stop pain.
- Protruding flesh at sore opening: Four causes: Water, Wind, Anger. Add Tiannanxing powder, apply with Ginger Juice/Wine around. If not resolving, likely layperson squeezed pus too hard or cooled skin with cold meds. Hot meds cure.
- Severe erosion: Dry Baifan (Alum) + Puxiao (Mirabilite) equal parts powder to scatter. Then apply Sulfur powder externally. Internally take Yang Rongwei + Duijin Yinzi. Externally apply Chonghe Gao.
- Excessive heat: Do not suddenly use cold meds (causes blood stasis/pain/ruin). Use half warm/half cool. Harmonize Blood for easy healing. Add Duiting Hongbao Gao, apply with Scallion decoction.
- Fa Bei/Ju/Liuzhu rely on this formula for stable final success. Skill lies in flexible modification. Controls outcome, prevents deterioration. Back carbuncles relate to life/death; preserves regardless of severity. This formula combines Yin/Yang, captures creation mechanism. Truly divine!
- Liuzhu: Incomplete Shanghan exterior, residual toxin flows to limbs, meridian stagnation. "Liu" means moving (Yang/Qi); "Zhu" means stopping (Yin/Blood). Yin follows Yang movement; Blood follows Qi flow. Stagnates in meridians, initially swelling/pain, later pus. Never use cold meds. Single herb: Duhuo powder with wine applied hot along pathway to end, induce with Yulong Gao. Moves Yin/Yang, harmonizes Qi/Blood, Liuzhu dissipates. Duhuo moves Qi/Blood, preventing Gu Ju (Bone Abscess).
- Gu Yong: Failed Liuzhu. Quack doctors wrongly used cold meds/surgery, causing Gu Yong. Bone decays...
