Huzi Du (Tiger Whisker Carbuncle) arises below the chin, caused by accumulated heat in the Stomach and Kidney meridians invading the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel). The Yang Abscess (Yong) presents with swelling and pain, rapidly suppurates, and is easy to treat; the Yin Abscess (Ju) presents with hardness, pain accompanied by numbness and itching, belonging to the category of Ding Sores (Ding).
[Note] This condition is also known as He Yong (Chin Abscess), characterized by swelling, pain, and redness, rapidly suppurating and being easy to treat; it is also known as Chengjiang Ju (Chengjiang Yin Abscess), characterized by hardness, swelling, and pain, slowly suppurating and being difficult to treat.
If the root is deep, the shape is small like a bean, accompanied by severe numbness, itching, and pain, along with aversion to cold, fever, mental restlessness, and vomiting, it is classified as a Ding Sore (Ding), and should be treated according to the methods for Ding Sores. All these conditions result from excessive consumption of roasted and fried foods, leading to accumulated heat in the Stomach and Kidney meridians attacking upward into the Ren Mai. For the initial stage of both Yang and Yin Abscesses, it is appropriate to administer Xianfang Huoming Yin (Immortal Life Elixir Decoction) with added Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) and Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) to dissipate the lesion. If constipation, dry lips, and extreme thirst are present, Neishu Huanglian Tang (Internal Purging Coptis Decoction) is appropriate to clear heat. Other internal and external treatment methods follow the chapters on Yang and Yin Abscesses, Swollen Ulcers, and Ulcerated Ulcers. In the initial stage, if numbness and itching resemble Ding Sores, treatment follows the Ding Sore chapter.
Yanwo Chuang (Swallow's Nest Sore) arises below the chin, resembling clusters of millet seeds or beans, accompanied by itching, burning sensation, and pain. Its appearance resembles Huangshui Chuang (Yellow Water Sore, a vesicular dermatitis); this condition originally arises from Damp-Heat pathogenic factors.
[Note] This condition arises below the chin, commonly known as Yang Huzi Chuang (Sheep's Beard Sore). Initially, small lesions are like millet seeds, large ones like beans; they are red, hot, itchy, and slightly painful. Upon rupture, yellow fluid exudes. The appearance resembles Huangshui Chuang, spreading in patches, but the papules cluster together. It is caused by Damp-Heat in the Spleen and Stomach. It is appropriate to administer Qinlian Pingwei Tang (Scutellaria and Coptis Pingwei Decoction) internally, and apply Biyu San (Jade Green Powder) externally for effective results.

Grind together into an extremely fine powder, mix with sesame oil, and apply to the affected area.
[Prescription Verse] Biyu San applied to Yanwo Chuang, red papules exuding yellow fluid; jujube charcoal mixed with Phellodendri powder and sesame oil, a formula to relieve pain, stop itching, and drain dampness.
