胃受邪(由脾传),胃咳的症状是咳嗽伴随呕吐,严重时会有蛔虫吐出;
胆受邪(由肝传),胆咳的症状是一咳嗽就吐出胆汁;
大肠受邪(由肺传),大肠咳的症状是咳嗽时大便失禁;
小肠受邪(由心传),小肠咳的症状是咳嗽时放屁,气和咳嗽同时排出;
膀胱受邪(由肾传),膀胱咳的症状是咳嗽时遗尿;
一曰风嗽,因为说话就引发咳嗽,话说不完;
二曰寒嗽,因为饮用冷水或吃冷食,寒气从肺脉上逆,内外合邪而致咳嗽;
三曰支嗽,咳嗽时引动胸膈支撑胀痛;
四曰肝嗽,咳嗽牵引胁下疼痛;
五曰心嗽,咳嗽时眼泪流出,牵连腹胃;
六曰脾嗽,咳嗽时唾液不断流出;
七曰肺嗽,咳嗽时耳聋无所闻,牵连腰脐部位;
八曰肾嗽,咳嗽时牵引小腹;
九曰胆嗽,咳嗽时吐血;

Cough is a condition caused by the lung contracting cold pathogenic factors. The Lung governs Qi and corresponds to the skin and hair (Pí Máo). When an external pathogen initially injures the body, it first lodges in the skin and hair; therefore, the Lung is affected first.
The manifestations of cough arising from the five Zang organs are as follows:
In spring, if the Liver is affected, coughing is accompanied by pain in the right hypochondrium, radiating faintly to the back and shoulders. In severe cases, movement is restricted, and any movement triggers coughing. In winter, if the Kidney is affected, there is mutual pulling pain between the lower back and waist. In severe cases, coughing produces sputum. This is referred to as "Five Zang Cough."
If cough originating from the Five Zang organs persists without healing, it transmits to the Six Fu organs:
When the Stomach is affected (transmitted from the Spleen), the symptom of Stomach cough is coughing accompanied by vomiting; in severe cases, roundworms may be expelled.
When the Gallbladder is affected (transmitted from the Liver), the symptom of Gallbladder cough is vomiting bile upon coughing.
When the Large Intestine is affected (transmitted from the Lung), the symptom of Large Intestine cough is fecal incontinence during coughing.
When the Small Intestine is affected (transmitted from the Heart), the symptom of Small Intestine cough is passing flatus simultaneously with coughing.
When the Bladder is affected (transmitted from the Kidney), the symptom of Bladder cough is urinary incontinence during coughing.
When the San Jiao (Triple Burner) is affected (due to prolonged coughing), the symptom of San Jiao cough is abdominal fullness accompanied by coughing and loss of appetite.
All these conditions result from cold qi accumulating in the Stomach and opening up at the Lung, causing rebellious Lung Qi, leading to excessive phlegm and saliva, and facial edema.
Additionally, there are ten types of cough:
1. Wind Cough: Triggered by speaking, preventing the completion of sentences.
2. Cold Cough: Caused by drinking cold water or eating cold food; cold qi rebels upward along the Lung meridian, combining internally and externally to induce cough.
3. Branch Cough (Zhi Sou): Coughing accompanied by distending pain in the chest and diaphragm.
4. Liver Cough: Coughing with pulling pain in the hypochondrium.
5. Heart Cough: Coughing with tearing and fluid secretion, pulling towards the abdomen and stomach.
6. Spleen Cough: Continuous flow of saliva.
7. Lung Cough: Deafness during coughing, pulling pain in the waist and umbilicus.
8. Kidney Cough: Pulling pain in the lower abdomen.
9. Gallbladder Cough: Hemoptysis (coughing up blood).
(Note: The original text contains formatting errors or omissions for the tenth type, but the visible entities are translated above.)
Diagnosis: Palpating the Cun Kou pulse on the right hand, a floating pulse indicates a Yang syndrome. If the pulse is floating and large, the prognosis is good (survival); if the pulse is deep, small, hidden, or concealed, the prognosis is poor (death).
Chronic cough arises because Lung Qi is extremely deficient. Once Lung Qi is deficient, it is constrained by wind-cold pathogens, resulting in persistent coughing over months or years. This is due to disharmony of Yin and Yang.
