Yanggao Jiu (Lamb Lamb Wine): Greatly tonifies Yuan Qi, strengthens the Spleen and Stomach, and benefits the waist and Kidneys.
This is the formula from the Hua Cheng Hall during the Xuanhe era: Use one dan of glutinous rice, soak and grind according to routine methods to obtain the mash, steam it, then add seven jin of fat and tender lamb meat, fourteen liang of yeast, and one jin of Apricot Kernels (Xingren). Boil together until soft. Mix the juice with the rice, add one liang of Aucklandia Root (Muxiang), finely chopped, and ferment together. Avoid contact with water; it is ready in ten days.

Taking more yields better results.

Take one jin of Lotus Seeds (Lianrou), remove the plumule, place inside a pig stomach, tie securely, boil until soft, pound into pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty to forty pills each time, swallowing with wine on an empty stomach.
All the above formulas have therapeutic effects superior to medicinal stones. People only know that medicine can cure diseases, but do not realize that food can also cure diseases. Sun Simiao stated: "A physician must first understand the cause of the disease and where the pathogen has attacked, treating it with food first; if dietary therapy fails, then consider medication." This is suitable not only for the elderly and children, but also for anyone focusing on health preservation or suffering from long-term illness and aversion to medicine.
