《千金》治雀盲方
地肤子（五两） 决明子（一升）
上为末，煮米饮和丸。每服二、三十丸。
世传方 治雀盲。
苍术（米泔浸，去皮，切片，焙，四两）
上为末。猪肝二两、批开，掺药在内，用麻丝扎定，以粟米一合，水一碗，砂
锅内煮熟，熏眼。候温，临卧，每服三钱，大效。
《圣惠方》治雀盲，不计时月，用苍术一两为末，每服一钱。
复明散 治小儿每至日暮即不见物，乃雀目也。

上件，捣罗为细末。每服一钱，水八分，入荆芥少许，煎五分，去滓，温服，食后。
初虞世曰，眼白多，多属虚山茱萸丸主之。
山茱萸（二两） 熟地黄 牡丹皮 牛膝 茯苓 泽泻（各一两） 鹿茸（半两）
上为末，炼蜜丸，如梧子大。食后，盐汤下二十丸。
〔薛〕一小儿白睛多，吐痰发搐。先用抑青丸四服而痰搐止，后用地黄丸年许而
黑睛多。一小儿白睛多，三岁不能行，语声不畅，两足非热则冷，大便不实。朝
用补中益气汤加五味子、干山药、以补脾肺，夕用地黄丸加五味子、牛膝、鹿茸、
补肝肾，不三月而瘥。一小儿眼白，腿软，两足热面似愁容。服地黄丸两月余渐
健，服年余，白睛渐黑，出痘无恙。
《千金方》治疗雀盲（夜盲症）的方剂：
地肤子（五两）、决明子（一升）。
将上述药材研为细末，用米汤调和制成丸药。每次服用二三十丸。
民间流传的方剂，治疗雀盲：
苍术（用米泔水浸泡，去皮，切片，焙干，四两）。
将上述药材研为细末。取猪肝二两，剖开，将药粉掺入其中，用麻线扎紧，加入粟米一合、水一碗，在砂锅内煮熟。先用药气熏蒸眼睛，待温度适宜后，临睡前每次服用三钱，效果显著。
《圣惠方》治疗雀盲，不论发病时间长短，使用苍术一两研为细末，每次服用一钱。
复明散，治疗小儿每到傍晚就看不见东西，这就是雀目（夜盲症）。
苍术（用米泔水浸泡，刮去外皮，锉成薄片，焙干，二两）、谷精草（一两）、地肤子、决明子、黄芩（各半两）。
将上述药材捣碎并过筛成细末。每次服用一钱，加水八分，放入少许荆芥，煎煮至五分，滤去药渣，饭后温服。
初虞世说，眼白部分较多者，多属于虚证，用山茱萸丸主治。
山茱萸（二两）、熟地黄、牡丹皮、牛膝、茯苓、泽泻（各一两）、鹿茸（半两）。
将上述药材研为细末，用炼蜜制成丸药，大小如梧桐子。饭后，用盐开水送服二十丸。
〔薛己〕有一个小儿白睛多，伴有吐痰和抽搐症状。先用抑青丸服用四次，使痰喘和抽搐停止，之后服用地黄丸约一年，使黑睛（角膜/瞳孔区域）恢复正常。另一个小儿白睛多，三岁还不能行走，说话声音不清晰，双腿非热即冷，大便不成形。早晨服用补中益气汤加五味子、干山药，以补益脾肺；晚上服用地黄丸加五味子、牛膝、鹿茸，以补益肝肾，不到三个月病愈。还有一个小儿眼白，腿软，双脚发热且面部似有愁容。服用地黄丸两个多月后逐渐健壮，服用一年多后，白睛逐渐变黑，出痘疹也无恙。
**Prescription from *Qianjin Fang* for treating Nyctalopia (Night Blindness):**
*Di Fu Zi* (Kochia Scoparia Fruit, 5 liang) and *Jue Ming Zi* (Cassiae Semen, 1 sheng).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Mix with rice decoction to form pills. Take 20–30 pills per dose.
**Popular Prescription for treating Nyctalopia:**
*Cang Zhu* (Atractylodis Rhizoma, 4 liang; soaked in rice washing water, peeled, sliced, and dried).
Grind the above ingredient into powder. Take 2 liang of pig liver, split it open, stuff the powder inside, tie it securely with hemp thread. Add 1 he of millet and 1 bowl of water, and cook thoroughly in a clay pot. First, fumigate the eyes with the steam. When warm enough, take 3 qian before bedtime. This is highly effective.
**From *Shenghui Fang* for treating Nyctalopia**, regardless of duration: Use 1 liang of *Cang Zhu* ground into powder. Take 1 qian per dose.
**Fuming San (Restoring Vision Powder)** for treating children who cannot see objects at dusk, which is known as Nyctalopia.
*Cang Zhu* (Atractylodis Rhizoma, 2 liang; soaked in rice washing water, scraped clean, sliced, and dried), *Gu Jing Cao* (Panicum Japonicum Flower Head, 1 liang), *Di Fu Zi* (Kochia Scoparia Fruit), *Jue Ming Zi* (Cassiae Semen), and *Huang Qin* (Scutellariae Radix, each half liang).
Pulverize the above ingredients into fine powder. Take 1 qian per dose. Add 8 fen of water and a small amount of *Jing Jie* (Schizonepetae Herba), decoct until reduced to 5 fen. Strain and take warm after meals.
Chu Yushi stated that excessive whiteness of the sclera often indicates deficiency syndrome, treated primarily with *Shanzhuyu Wan*.
*Shanzhuyu* (Corni Fructus, 2 liang), *Shu Dihuang* (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), *Mudanpi* (Moutan Cortex), *Niuxi* (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), *Fuling* (Poria), *Zexie* (Alismatis Rhizoma, each 1 liang), and *Lurong* (Cervi Cornu Degelatinatum, half liang).
Grind into powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 20 pills after meals with salted water.
[Xue Ji] A child presented with excessive scleral whiteness, accompanied by phlegm regurgitation and convulsions. Initially, *Yiqing Wan* was administered four times to stop the phlegm and convulsions. Subsequently, *Dihuang Wan* was taken for about a year, resulting in the restoration of normal black pupil appearance. Another child had excessive scleral whiteness, could not walk at age three, spoke unclearly, and experienced alternating heat and cold in both legs with loose stools. In the morning, *Buzhong Yiqi Tang* (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) with added *Wuweizi* (Schisandrae Fructus) and *Gan Shanyao* (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) was used to tonify the Spleen and Lungs. In the evening, *Dihuang Wan* with added *Wuweizi*, *Niuxi*, and *Lurong* was used to tonify the Liver and Kidneys. The condition resolved within three months. Another child had white sclera, weak legs, hot feet, and a facial expression resembling sorrow. After taking *Dihuang Wan* for over two months, strength gradually improved. After one year of treatment, the scleral whiteness gradually darkened, and the child survived chickenpox without complications.
