Treatment for the Three Parasites (referring to roundworms, pinworms, and tapeworms):
Place both hands on the head. Interlace fingers. Inhale deeply and then exhale. Sit on the ground and slowly stretch both legs. Embrace the painful area in the middle of the knees with both hands from the outside. Lower the head, and this is sufficient.
The so-called "Five Viscera Parasites" arise because the true Qi of the viscera is weak, and heat steams and steeps, causing them. As stated in medical texts: "When flesh rots, worms are born; when fish dries out, moths are generated." The principle is indeed so.
Maidong Wan (Ophiopogon Pill) [from *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats lung tuberculosis with heat generating parasites. The parasites resemble silkworms, causing coughing, counterflow of Qi, and panting. Some attribute it to憂隔 (worry obstruction), 氣隔 (Qi obstruction), 恚隔 (anger obstruction), or 寒隔 (cold obstruction)...
Herbs: Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix, remove heart, roast dry, 10 liang), Shujiao (Sichuan Pepper, remove eyes and closed-mouth ones, stir-fry until moisture evaporates, 1 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang 1 fen), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix, remove heart), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, remove coarse bark), Baibu (Stemonae Radix, roast dry), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, cut into fine pieces, each 1 liang 1 fen), Xingren (Prunus Armeniacae Semen, remove double kernels, skin, and tips, roast dry, stir-fry with bran until yellow, 0.5 liang). The above thirteen ingredients are pounded and sifted into powder. Mix with refined honey, then place in an iron mortar coated with butter, pound until uniform and well-mixed. Form pills the size of sour jujube seeds. Let dissolve in the mouth, swallowing saliva gradually. Another version includes Binglang (Arecae Semen), another excludes Baizhu.
Qianhu Tang (Peucedani Decoction): Treats spleen exhaustion with white parasites. The parasite is one cun long, causing disease in the spleen, leading to frequent vomiting, chest coughing, where coughing induces vomiting but nothing comes out.
Herbs: Qianhu (Peucedani Radix, remove rhizome head), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, cut into pieces), Chifuling (Poria cum Ligno, remove black skin), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, remove pith, stir-fry with bran), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, remove seedlings and leaves), Xuanjinhua (Inulae Flos, remove... 1 liang). The above... coarse powder. If there is heat and fullness in the abdomen, add Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, 0.5 qian), Zhizi Ren (Gardeniae Semen, 1 liang), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 1.5 liang), Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, 1 liang). Another version uses Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus), without Zhike.
Leiwan Wan (Omphalia Pill) [from *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats heart exhaustion with heat injuring the heart. There is a long worm named Bai Chong (White Worm), one chi long, penetrating the heart causing disease.
Herbs: Leiwan (Omphalia Lapidea, fire-powdered), Chenjupi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, soak in water, remove white pith, roast dry), Taoren (Persicae Semen, remove double kernels, skin, and tips, stir-fry with bran, each 1 liang 1 fen), Yelangya (Artemisiae Argyi Folium, remove... connect with seedlings... No, Cyatheae Spores, large ones three, remove roots), Ganxi (Dried Resin of Dryobalanops aromatica, stir-fry until smoke ceases, 3 liang), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus, wash seven times, roast dry and stir-fry, 1.5 liang), Bai Wuyi (Tso-Wo-Yee? No, Tso-wu-yi / Evodiae Fructus? No, Bai Wuyi is Tso-wu-yi? No, Bai Wuyi is usually Evodiae Fructus? Wait, Bai Wuyi is often associated with Evodia or similar. Actually, Bai Wuyi is typically Evodiae Fructus? No, Bai Wuyi is often listed as Evodiae Fructus in some contexts, but here it might be distinct. Let's stick to the text: Bai Wuyi (Roasted), Huaibai Pi (Morus Alba Bark, dried, each 1 liang, cut), Hufen (Lead Carbonate, stir-fry to yellow, grind, 1 liang), Xingren (Prunus Armeniacae Semen, remove double kernels, skin, and tips, stir-fry with bran until yellow, 0.5 liang).
