大黄汤治冷涎翻胃，其候欲发时，先流冷涎，次则吐食。此乃劳证，治之不早，死在旦夕。
又淬姜汁中，如此淬尽，切焙为末。
右每服二钱，陈米一撮，葱白二茎，水一大盏，煎至七分。先食葱白，次服其药，不十日去根。
又方治翻胃吐食
右二味为末，入瓦罐子内，煅令如蒸饼虚空，取出，以净纸承顿地上盆盖，一出火毒，再为末。用药饼为圆，如绿豆大。每服三五圆至七圆，空心温酒下。更量老少虚实与之。
又方治宿食不化，呕吐酸水，胸膈痞闷，冷气腹痛，肺寒咳嗽，并皆治之。

取牙痛令落不犯手脚

右用三脚牙不拘多少，盐泥固济，火煅通红，出火毒，次碾为末。每月些少顿蛀牙孔内，立效。临用药时，入乳香少许，令匀同用。若先将乳香交和之后，恐过，即(即当作却)药性其效较缓，是故临用和匀。
治牙疼
右为末。若左边牙疼，用药搐左鼻孔，次将药吹入左耳；右边牙疼，则搐右鼻孔及吹入右耳，无不效验。
髭乌牙牢妙
生姜半斤生地黄一斤，各洗令净，研取自然汁，滓留取
右不蛀皂角十茎，括去黑皮并节。将前药汁蘸皂角，漫火炙令黄，用药汁尽为度。并前药滓同入瓷罐内，用火煅留性为末，牙齿动摇，用药揩牙龈上髭黄，用铁器盛药末，用三钱汤调。过二日将药汁蘸须。临睡时用，次早巳黑，三夜三次用之，其黑如漆。妙甚！妙甚！此方乃得自阎知府宅，贵宦常用，屡有效验。
治牙疼
右件为末。每用少许揩痛处。如有蛀孔，用饭圆药末塞入孔中，立效。
取蛀牙本分法
硇砂三钱匕朱砂一钱硼砂成块，一钱匕附子尖十四个信砒二钱匕，色黄白有光星者，已上各末川乌尖七个蟾酴七个，已上同为末
右和匀，五月五日合者佳。点药于牙根上，良久用手指揩下，次用后傅药。
右为末。揩牙落处并用些子塞牙落孔子。
此三方余见一道人货药取牙，一日常货三两贯钱。余厚赂之，始传得妙。
治蛀牙疼

治一切牙疼风龋，热酿常出鲜血，渐至崩落，口臭不可近人者，并皆治之大黄米泔浸生地黄右二味旋切，各用一片二片合定，贴所患牙上，一夜即愈。未全可，则再如前法再用。如说话，恐引风要津液清痛处。
治牙痛
右将阿魏醋浸，入蒸饼，搜作团子，切片焙干。同三味为末，付牙龈上，不可漱口。良久或咽下去亦不妨，药清尽，又使。其效如神。
治牙疼
右一味，用旧糟裹定。次将纸裹，浸火内，令焦，去糟。只将土驹为末，付牙疼处，立效。
治牙崩
右先将砒霜顿在铁香匙上，却以红丹盖定。文武火上煅，令烟尽为度，研为细末。先用枳壳荆芥汤灌漱，吐去，将前药末揩牙上，不可吞。直候涎多吐下。又须用前汤灌漱，立效。
治诸眼患因热病后毒气攻眼生翳膜遮障，服此药后遂旋消退，不犯针刀。

右为锉散。每服半两，朴硝少许，通草二寸，水一大碗，同煎至六分，临睡温服。泻一两行不妨，次将温粥补。自后每服只三钱重，不用朴硝水煎服。忌热物及不得啼哭使怒。
右为细末，每服二钱，盐少许，百沸汤点，食后服。
又方治肾经虚冷，水候不升，不能上荫肝木，致令眼目昏暗，或赤肿痛痒，须用此药方能治。
右为细末，炼蜜圆，如豆大，朱砂为衣。每服一圆，薄荷茶嚼下。

治清盲雀眼法
右令患人至黄昏时，寻雀儿宿处，惊令飞起，即念咒。咒曰："紫公紫公，我还汝盲，汝还我明。"如此三日，自可。此法虽传得后不曾试，尚恐有妄。
乌贼鱼骨一名海螵蛸生箸脑少许
右二味，碾令极细。铜箸点，热汤洗铜箸三五次，点立效。
又方治眼目赤肿或痒或痛，上膈壅热而成

治风毒眼患
右为细末，用砂糖为圆，如弹子大。每服一圆，食后薄荷茶嚼下。
右锉。每服三大钱，水一大盏，黑豆半合，煎至一两沸。入沙糖一块如大弹大，煎至八分，去滓。食后温服。忌毒、煎油面、鲇酱、热物及不得嗔怒、房色等事，则使易获痊安。
治赤肿眼
右以白姜末水调，贴脚掌心。又以土朱蜜调，睡贴眼上。
又方清眼疼难忍者
右为细末。每服二钱，麦门冬熟水调下。食后日午、夜卧各一服。

治久年眼生黑花不忍者
椒目一两炒苍术二两炒
右件为末，醋糊为圆，如梧桐子大。每服二十圆，醋茶送下。不过十日取效。
点眼水膏
右用砂瓶一只，先入梨，次人黄连末。候初冬第一次下雪时，取雪满铺入砂瓶内。油单封口，入地五寸深。候立春日交春时候过了取出，点眼或温过洗妙。
治眼目诸疾点眼膏子
羊胆一个
右一味入蜜一钱在胆内，线扎定，坩锅内满入水煮熟，冷水内浸，取出候干。顿入角罐内，竹箸点眼四角，立效。
神验点翳药照水丹
黄蜡少许溶，旋入药。待要用时，就火旋，圆如萝卜子大。临睡时，用一圆点人眼角，紧合眼睡著。次日用温汤洗下。未全退者，更用一服，极妙。用此药后，或更以所吃药与之尤妙，明医者自能斟酌，但眼患，比他疾不同。

治倒睫烂眩
蜜一两虢丹五钱重
右二味漫火熬成膏，入轻粉五文，令熬黑色，逐时泡沫点之。

以上为细末，用砂糖为丸，如弹子大。每次服用一丸，食后薄荷茶嚼下。
以上锉。每次服用三大钱，水一大盏，黑豆半合，煎至一两沸。入沙糖一块如大弹大，煎至八分，去滓。食后温服。忌毒、煎油面、鲇酱、热物及不得嗔怒、房色等事，则使易获痊安。
治疗赤肿眼：
以上以白姜末水调，贴脚掌心。又以土朱蜜调，睡贴眼上。
又一个方子清眼疼难忍者：
以上为细末。每次服用二钱，麦门冬熟水调下。食后日午、夜卧各一服。

椒目一两（炒），苍术二两（炒）。

点眼水膏：
以上用砂瓶一只，先入梨，次人黄连末。候初冬第一次下雪时，取雪满铺入砂瓶内。油单封口，入地五寸深。候立春日交春时候过了取出，点眼或温过洗妙。
治疗眼目诸疾点眼膏子：
羊胆一个。
以上一味入蜜一钱在胆内，线扎定，坩锅内满入水煮熟，冷水内浸，取出候干。顿入角罐内，竹箸点眼四角，立效。
神验点翳药照水丹：
朱砂半两，海螵蛸一钱。以上二味乳钵内细碾，水飞过，澄取。又用黄蜡少许溶，旋入药。待要用时，就火旋，丸如萝卜子大。临睡时，用一丸点人眼角，紧合眼睡著。次日用温汤洗下。未全退者，更用一服，极妙。用此药后，或更以所吃药与之尤妙，明医者自能斟酌，但眼患，比他疾不同。

**Dahuang Tang (Rhubarb Decoction)** treats cold saliva refluxing stomach (a syndrome characterized by vomiting undigested food and cold saliva). The symptoms manifest as first flowing out cold saliva, followed by vomiting food. This is a syndrome caused by exhaustion; if not treated early, death may occur within a day or night.
Take Dahuang Rhizome (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) one liang, and fresh ginger juice half a tea cup. Soak the processed Dahuang in the ginger juice, repeating this process until the juice is exhausted. Then, slice, dry, and grind into powder.
For administration, take two qian of the powder, add a pinch of aged rice, two stems of scallion white, and one large cup of water. Decoct until seven-tenths remain. First consume the scallion white, then take the medicine. The root cause will be eliminated in less than ten days.
Another formula for treating refluxing stomach and vomiting:
Baimin Alum (Alumen) two liang, Huangdan Lead Tetroxide (Litharge) one liang.
Grind the above two ingredients into powder, place them in a clay pot, and calcine until they become hollow like steamed buns. Wulingzhi Trogopteri Dung (Trogopterori Faeces).
Take this single ingredient, any amount, grind into fine powder. Use bile from a yellow dog to form pills, sized like longan fruits. Take one pill each time, with half a cup of good wine, warmed in a bottle. If vomiting persists, take again; no more than three doses are needed for efficacy.
Another formula for treating discomfort in the chest and diaphragm, injury from alcohol and food, gradually forming refluxing stomach leading to dry retching.
Dingxiang Clove (Caryophylli Flos), Badou Croton Seed (Crotonis Semen), Wumei Mume Fruit (Mume Fructus) each twenty pieces (good and complete ones).
Do not remove the oil shells or pits from these three ingredients. Pound three to five thousand times into a paste. Some use twenty grains of good red pepper, remove seeds, and grind together into fine powder.

Treating unbearable stabbing heart pain in men and women:
Burn human hair to ash but retain its nature, grind into powder, plus seven Dingxiang Cloves (Caryophylli Flos).

Treating nausea and refluxing stomach:
Houpo Magnolia Bark (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex) (soaked in ginger juice, processed), Cangzhu Atractylodes Rhizome (Atractylodis Rhizoma), Chenpi Aged Tangerine Peel (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Gancao Licorice Root (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) each three liang.
Grind into powder. Take one large qian each time, with salt water on an empty stomach.
Prescription for treating spleen pain transmitted by Mr. Wang in Tokyo:
Jiangzi Croton Seed (Crotonis Semen) half a liang (stir-fried in a new tile vessel until yellow), Xingren Apricot Seed (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) half a liang (with Qianniu Morning Glory Seed (Pharbitidis Semen) half a liang), Chenpi Aged Tangerine Peel (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) one liang (together).

Grind into powder, use scattered paste to form pills, sized like paulownia seeds. Take five pills each time, with salt water soaked in wine as desired. Take when attacks occur. For severe cases, two or three doses yield immediate results.
Treating spleen accumulation qi pain and various qi pains in women:

Treating extreme heat in the upper jiao causing mouth and tongue sores:
Nifen Calomel (Hydrargyri Chloridum Solubile) one bi (measure), Xingren Apricot Seed (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) seven grains (unpeeled).
Chew finely before sleep, induce saliva, then spit it out. Rinse mouth with warm water. Can be used continuously until fully healed.
Another formula: Danfan Chalcanthite (Chalcanthitum) branches.
Soak in boiling water, hold in mouth overnight. Eighty percent recovery can be expected.
Another formula: Wubeizi Chinese Gall (Chinese Gall) any amount.
Grind into powder, sprinkle on mouth sores. Rinse mouth with clear tea afterwards. Immediate cessation.
Treating mouth and tongue sores:

Dry and grind into powder. Take two qian each time, mix with vinegar before sleep, apply to palm and sole. Effective the next day.
Treating mouth and nose sores:
Good Shengjiang Fresh Ginger (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) one piece. Chew finely before sleep and hold. Do not open mouth while sleeping to avoid losing qi. Safe during sleep. Treats all toothaches.
Chuishengma Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Danggui Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chanyujin Curcuma Aromatica Rhizome (Curcumae Aromaticae Rhizoma), Xixin Asarum Root (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) in equal parts.

Caowu Aconite Root (Aconiti Radix) fifteen wen, Bibi (likely Bibo Long Pepper Fruit (Long Pepperis Fructus)) same, Chuanjiao Sichuan Pepper (Zanthoxyli Fructus) thirty wen, Xixin Asarum Root (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) same.
Grind into powder. Apply a small amount inside and outside the affected tooth. Within three to five applications, the tooth will fall out naturally.
Another formula to stabilize toothache:
Use Sanjiao Ya (three-cornered tooth) any amount. Seal with salt mud, calcine until red-hot, eliminate fire toxicity, then grind into powder. Apply a small amount into the decayed tooth hole monthly. Immediate effect. When using, add a little Rushincostus Root (Saussureae Radix) to mix evenly. If Rushing is mixed beforehand, the potency may be too strong or slow; thus, mix just before use.
Treating toothache:
Xionghuang Realgar (Realgar), Moyao Myrrh (Myrrha), Rushincostus Root (Saussureae Radix) a small amount.
Grind into powder. For left toothache, insufflate powder into left nostril, then blow into left ear. For right toothache, do the same on the right side. Always effective.
Treating loose teeth (text note: 'yao' has a character below it), yellow/red beard, one dose:

Naosha Sal Ammoniac (Sal Ammoniac), Zhusha Cinnabar (Cinnabaris) one qian, Pengsha Borax (Borax) block, one bi, Fuzi Tip Aconite Lateral Root (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata) tip fourteen pieces, Xinpi Arsenic Trioxide (Arsenici Trioxidum) two qian (yellow-white with shiny stars), all ground separately. Chuanwu Tip Aconite Root (Aconiti Radix) tip seven pieces, Chantui Toad Skin (Bufo Skin) seven pieces, all ground together.
Mix well; best prepared on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Apply powder to tooth root, wait, then wipe off with finger. Apply subsequent dressing.

Burn one liang each of Jingjie Schizonepeta Spike (Schizonepetae Spica) and Ai Artemisia Leaf (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), and one Zaojiao Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit (Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus). Smoke the bowl with the burning herbs. Stir the ointment frequently, spreading and smoking until herbs are consumed. Form into blocks, wrap in oil paper, bury in ground to eliminate fire toxicity. Divine Nebula-Removing Medicine Zhaoshui Dan:
Zhusha Cinnabar (Cinnabaris) half a liang, Haipiaoxiao Cuttlebone (Sepiae Endoconcha) one qian. Grind finely in mortar, wash with water, settle, collect supernatant.
