Baihui (GV20), (See "Wind Epilepsy" section). Shaoshang (LU11), (See "Inability to Eat" section), treats diminished taste after eating. (Ming Dynasty medical texts record): For symptoms such as heavy body, inability to eat, loss of taste, deficiency-fullness in the epigastrium, frequent desire for defecation, and preference for lying down, needle Weiguan (CV12, Zhongwan) and Taicui (CV12, Zhongwan). Administer Jianzhong Decoction and Pingwei Pills.
Zuanwei Pill warms the middle jiao and opens the appetite. If a patient cannot bear the sight of food, three to five doses will stimulate appetite. The formula consists of: Pogu Zhi (Fructus Psoraleae, 补骨脂) half liang, and Rou Dou Kou (Semen Myristicae, 肉豆蔻) four pieces, ground into fine powder. Form pills the size of mulberry seeds using steamed date flesh. Take thirty pills on an empty stomach with rice water.

My nephew occasionally felt hungry immediately after finishing a meal, and again after eating more. He cured himself by brewing two bowls of strong ginger tea from crushed fresh ginger.
The *Qianjin Fang* states: All malaria arises from wind pathogens. Summer heat injury leads to malaria in autumn ("Jie" is synonymous with "Nue"). The *Suwen* states: "Jie" implies old age or emaciation. Yang Shangshan stated: A bi-dayly attack is called Jie Nue; this view differs from the *Suwen* and *Qianjin Fang*. There are several names for malaria: Cold-then-heat is Han Nue (Cold Malaria); Heat-then-cold is Wen Nue (Warm Malaria); Heat without cold is Dan Nue (Febrile Malaria); More cold than heat is Mu Nue (Male Malaria); Long-standing unhealed malaria is Lao Nue (Chronic Malaria). (Long-lasting continuous attacks are also called Lao Nue). Malaria transforming after an epidemic is Zhang Nue (Miasma Malaria). Pathogenic accumulation forming a mass is Nue Mu (Malarial Mass). Even the Liver, Lung, Spleen, Kidney, Heart, and Stomach can have malaria. Attacks may occur daily, every other day, gradually delayed, or progressively earlier. The *Suwen*, *Qianjin Fang*, etc., discuss these in detail. There are many formulas for treating malaria, but Xiaojin Dan (Little Golden Pill) is the best. I have used it on others with consistent efficacy. However, not everyone has access to this medicine. Therefore, moxibustion must not be abandoned. Rural people crush Herba Ecliptae (Han Lian Cao, 旱莲草), place it on the palm at a width of one fu (between four fingers), directly between the two tendons, press with an ancient copper coin, tie with old cloth. Small blisters rise quickly, called Tianjiu (Heavenly Moxibustion). This alone can cure malaria, let alone regular moxibustion. Thus, it is recorded in detail.

A person suffered from chronic malaria with no effect from various medicines. Someone advised moxibustion on Pishu (BL20), resulting in a cure. Another person with long-standing malaria heard of this and also cured themselves by moxibusting this acupoint. Probably because malaria often stems from dietary issues, moxibustion on Pishu is effective.
