**Urticaria, Dry Skin, Scabies, Tinea**
When wind and qi clash with each other, urticaria (wind hive) is generated. The body itches. Generally, when the human body is sweating, one must not sleep exposed to wind or draft, nor should one go out early after bathing. This causes chills and fever in the body, thereby inducing wind-type rashes.
Acupoints for treatment: Jianjing (GB21), Quchi (LI11), Hegu (LI4), Quze (PC3), Shousanli (LI10), Huantiao (GB30).
Acupoints for treating scabies and tinea: Quchi (LI11), Hegu (LI4), Neiguan (PC6 - *Note: Text says Jianshi PC5, but standard context often varies; sticking to text: Jianshi*), Taichong (LR3 - *Note: Text says Tailing PC7*, sticking to text: Tailing), Zusanli (ST36), Weizhong (BL40), Baichongke (EX-LE5), Xingjian (LR2).
**Leprosy (Commonly known as Hansen's Disease)**
Damp-heat resides internally and is stirred by wind pathogen, causing worms to generate in the muscles. White scales overlap repeatedly. Itching is severe, accompanied by numbness and hardness. In advanced stages, eyebrows fall out and the nasal bridge collapses, rendering the condition incurable. The patient must abstain from alcohol and sexual activity, maintain a pure heart and few desires, and avoid foods that trigger wind and stir qi, such as meat, fish, salt, soy sauce, roasted, fried, and raw/cold foods. Only consume bland rice, white porridge, and boiled vegetables. Even after recovery, these prohibitions must be observed; otherwise, relapse will occur and cannot be saved.
Treatment methods: Chengjiang (CV24) (Moxibustion 7 cones; after the moxa sore heals, moxibustion again to dredge the Yangming and Ren meridians, so wind-heat subsides and worms do not arise); Weizhong (BL40) (Prick to bleed 2-3 he); Heizi Dada (Black Purple Upper Connection) (Prick to bleed out foul blood).
If the toxin is external, prick all affected areas of the body, as well as both arms, leg wrists, hands, and toe webs, to bleed. Repeat every one or two days until the blood turns red.
**Bites from Snakes, Scorpions, and Centipedes**
For bites from snakes, scorpions, or centipedes, where poisoning causes extreme pain, immediately apply moxibustion with moxa fire at the wound site to draw out and disperse the toxic vapor, bringing immediate relief. Alternatively, place a slice of garlic on the skin and apply moxibustion. For severe toxicity, moxibustion of 50 cones is used; taking Zijin Dan (Purple Gold Pill) is even better.
**Bites from Mad Dogs**
Sun Simiao said: At the end of spring and beginning of summer, dogs are prone to rabies. If bitten, nothing is better than moxibustion. Apply moxibustion directly on the tooth marks at the bite site. Moxibustion of 3 cones per day should continue for 120 days. Regular consumption of grilled leeks can prevent recurrence permanently.
Another method: Quickly apply moxibustion with moxa fire to the bite site for 35 cones; for severe cases, 100 cones.
**Irregular Menstruation**
Acupoints: Qihai (CV6), Sanyinjiao (SP6).
Jianshi (PC5) (Treats masses/lumps); Zhongji (CV3) (Treats metrorrhagia/leukorrhea); Zhaohai (KI6) (Treats amenorrhea).
**Metrorrhagia (Violent Uterine Bleeding)**
This syndrome is mostly caused by blood heat combined with qi's inability to contain blood. There are also cases where upper jiao congestion prevents qi circulation, leading to sudden violent bleeding from below.
Acupoints: Shenshu (BL23), Qihai (CV6), Guanyuan (CV4), Zhongji (CV3) (All treated with excellent results via moxibustion), Sanyinjiao (SP6).
**Red and White Leukorrhea**
Acupoints: Jianshi (PC5), Shenshu (BL23), Baihuanshu (BL30), Qihai (CV6), Guanyuan (CV4), Zhongji (CV3), Sanyinjiao (SP6).
**Infertility**
Acupoints: Zigong (Ex-CA1, located 2.5 cun left of Guanyuan CV4), Zhongji (CV3).
**Uterine Prolapse (Yin Ting)**
A mass protrudes from the woman's vagina, measuring five to six cun in length, or a single mass pulls on the waist and abdomen causing severe pain and loss of appetite. This is named Yin Ting, also known as hernia.
Acupoints: Ququan (LR8), Taichong (LR3), Zhaohai (KI6).
**Cystocele / Retention of Urine due to Pregnancy (Zhuan Bao)**
Urgent pain below the navel with inability to urinate is called Zhuan Bao.
Acupoints: Guanyuan (CV4) (Moxibustion 14 cones), Yinlingquan (SP9).
If amniotic fluid leaks out, it is named Yinniao (Enuresis). Treatment is the same as above.
**Difficult Labor**
Acupoints: Hegu (LI4), Sanyinjiao (SP6), Kunlun (BL60).
One method: For breech presentation/difficult labor, urgently moxibustion three cones on the tip of the little toe of the right foot to deliver immediately (another version says Zhiyin BL67, moxa cone size like a wheat grain).
For any difficult labor, including transverse lie with dead fetus, take Taichong (LR3).
Fetal flexion preventing descent.
Acupoints: Hegu (LI4), Sanyinjiao (SP6), Zhiyin (BL67) (Prick with three-edged needle to bleed; transverse position turns straight), Juque (CV14) (Let the patient sit upright, have someone hold her head and waist, leaning back slightly. Insert needle 6 fen. Retain for seven breaths. When deqi is obtained, reduce. For fainting patients, consciousness returns immediately. Another theory states the fetal hand grasps the mother's heart to push down the baby; if there is a needle mark on the baby's hand, the baby's head faces the mother's heart. There is a needle mark on the Renzhong (GV26), and another on the occiput behind. Verification: According to "Explication of the Fourteen Meridians," the human heart has a diaphragm membrane in front reaching Jiwei (CV15) and behind reaching the 11th thoracic vertebra, attached to the spine, blocking turbid qi from ascending to harm the heart and lungs. Thus, the heart is above the diaphragm. Moreover, the fetus in the womb is wrapped in the placenta; how could it break the diaphragm to grasp the heart?)
**Retained Placenta**
Acupoints: Jianjing (GB21) (For postpartum cold limbs/jue-ni, needle 5 fen; if feeling stifled/confused, needle Zusanli ST36 again), Zhongji (CV3), Sanyinjiao (SP6).

Acupoints: Qihai (CV6), Zhongji (CV3), Sanyinjiao (SP6).
**Pain from Blood Clots**
Acupoints: Qihai (CV6), Sanyinjiao (SP6).
**Blocked Lactation**
Acupoints: Danzhong (CV17) (Moxibustion), Shaoze (SI1).
**Desire to Contracept/Avert Pregnancy**
Acupoints: 2.3 cun below the umbilicus (Moxibustion 3 cones). Another method: Moxibustion 1 cun above the medial malleolus of the right foot.
