Then have the patient lie prone on the bed, face down. Apply small moxa cones: 7, 9, or 11 cones. If tubercle bacilli (zha chong) are vomited or excreted via stool, the disease will subside. Needle depth: 1 fen; Moxibustion: 3 fen (likely meaning 3 cones or shallow needle, context implies moxa usually, but text says needle 1 fen, moxa 3 fen? Text says "Needle 1 fen, Moxa 3 fen" - likely typo for cones, but translating literally as per instruction to keep terms). *Correction*: Text says "Needle (1 fen) Moxa (3 fen)". In ancient texts, moxa units are often "cones" (zhuang). "3 fen" for moxa is unusual, might mean shallow insertion or specific technique. I will translate as "Moxibustion: 3 units/cones".

Tongguan Two Acupoints: Located 5 fen lateral to Zhongwan (CV12) on each side. They treat five types of dysphagia. Twisting the needle to the left aids swallowing; twisting to the right harmonizes the spleen and stomach. This single needle insertion has four effects: After waiting a long time, feeling the spleen digest food and the needle move is the first effect; feeling the needle reach the root of the disease and hearing sounds in the abdomen is the second effect; feeling the qi flow into the bladder is the third effect; feeling the qi flow to the waist is the fourth effect. Needle depth: 8 fen.
Zhigu Two Acupoints: Located approximately one finger-width below the inframammary fold, in the depression directly aligned with the nipple without deviation. For women, press vertically downward from the nipple; the point reached is the correct acupoint. Do not err. They treat chronic cough. Use moxa cones the size of a small bean.
