丹。信而服之。至唐。龙纪改元。寓扬州开元观时。已数百余岁矣。复授道士周重兴。且曰
。此丹服之旬余。自觉脏腑通快。精神清爽。凡风痨气冷。一切大病。悉皆除去。若及两料

《谷神论》说：吞咽津液、炼养气息，吐出故气、吸入新气，上入泥丸宫，下注丹田，这叫做内丹。阳龙与阴虎，水液与金精，可以达成（成仙的目标）。
神仙中品黄龙丹（出自《圣济总录》）
赤石脂（十两） 黄牛乳汁（三升） 白沙蜜（一斤） 乳香（透明优质的，一斤） 甘草（三两，研末）
第一次操作：在前七天淘米七升，像做饭一样。将药盒放入其中蒸煮，饭熟为止。夜晚去掉盒盖，在星辰下暴露一夜。第二次操作：在月圆之日（望日），按照前面的方法蒸煮。同样去掉盒盖，在月光下暴露一夜。第三次操作：在二十四日早晨，按照前面的方法蒸煮。去掉盒盖，在阳光下曝晒。务必摄取日月星辰之气充足。第四次操作：先将牛乳三升放入大盒内，在慢炭火上加热至如鱼眼般沸腾，加入乳香等待融化。接着加入前三次蒸煮过的赤石脂粉末，用柳木篦搅拌使其均匀。倒入乳钵中细细研磨，再放回盒中。按照前面使用七升米的方法，将药盒放入米中蒸煮，米熟为止。第五次操作：将二斤蜂蜜放入盒内，按照前面用慢火加热至如鱼眼般沸腾，随即加入前面的药物，不停地用柳木篦搅拌均匀。加入甘草末三两一同熬制，带有湿气时就停止。再用七升米，将药盒放入其中蒸煮，米熟为止。取出药盒，在新水中浸泡半天，取出放置在干净的地方。初次服用时，选择天德日黎明时分，空腹，焚香面向东方拜七拜，用好酒调服一匙左右。这是出世延年的仙丹，没有金石药物的毒性，也不会误伤生理机能。服用之后，能使四气调和，经络通畅无阻。只允许传授以度化世人，不可贪图利益，那么药效就会神速显现。晋代广平人华山朱山人，从小仰慕道术，六十多岁时游历钟山，遇到异人，传授此丹。他相信并服用，到了唐代龙纪改元年间，寓居扬州开元观时，已经几百岁了。他又传授给道士周重兴，并且说：“此丹服用十几天后，自觉脏腑通快，精神清爽。凡是风疾、劳损、气冷等一切大病，都能去除。如果服用两料，肠子会变成筋，可以与天地同寿。”普通人必须先调养脾胃，脾旺则肝荣，肝荣则心壮，心壮则肺盛，肺盛则元脏实，元脏实则根本稳固，这叫深根固蒂，是长生久视之道。
配制需用新的洁净器具：可盛一两药的银盒一只，可盛五斗物的银盒一只，新瓦盆三只，可盛一斗物的木甑一个，罩篱儿一枚，柳木篦一枚，净木柴一百斤。
神仙返魂丹（出自《圣济总录》）起死扶衰，延长寿命，抗拒衰老。
丹砂、雄黄、雌黄（各三两）。先细研雄黄、雌黄两味药，用竹筒盛装，埋在北方地下三天，取出。

丹砂（四两，研如麻豆大小）、上巳节采的桃花二十两、真蜜一斤，同入银器中，重阳节煮至五月朔日，用新水淘洗干净，去滓。入大麦面作糊，和成稍硬的剂型，制成丸药，如楝树果实大小。每次服用，用沉香温水二合，嚼下一丸。引导心血，驻颜益气，调和百脉，去除邪气，尤其能辟除时疫。瘟疫之年全家斋戒清洁，早起每人嚼下一粒，断然不感染疾病。长期服用则心安无梦，邪气不犯，面色红润。制作时忌讳……常于洁净处收藏。一名通神保明丹，兼治妇人血气冲心疼痛，丈夫元气不足症。生姜酒送下，妇人炒姜醋汤送下。疟疾腊茶送下一粒，或半粒，根据病情轻重服用。

Again, remove the box lid and expose it in the moonlight for one night. Third operation: On the morning of the twenty-fourth day, steam according to the previous method. Remove the box lid and dry it in the sun. It is essential to absorb sufficient qi from the sun, moon, and stars. Fourth operation: First, place three sheng of cow's milk into a large box, heat it over slow charcoal fire until boiling like fish eyes, add frankincense and wait for it to melt. Then add the powdered hematite from the previous three steamings, stir evenly with a willow wood spatula. Pour into a mortar and grind finely, then return to the box. Follow the previous method using seven sheng of rice, placing the medicine box inside and steaming until the rice is cooked. Fifth operation: Add two jin of honey to the box, heat slowly as before until boiling like fish eyes, then add the previous medicines. Stir continuously with a willow wood spatula until uniform. Add three liang of licorice powder and continue simmering until slightly moist, then stop. Use another seven sheng of rice, place the medicine box inside, and steam until the rice is cooked. Take the box out and soak it in fresh water for half a day. Remove and place in a clean area. For the first dose, select a Tian De day at dawn, take on an empty stomach, burn incense facing east, bow seven times, and swallow one spoonful mixed with good wine. This is an immortal pill for leaving the world and extending life, free from the toxicity of minerals and metals, and not harming physiological functions. After taking it, the Four Qi will harmonize, and meridians will flow without obstruction. It should only be transmitted to save people, not for profit, so that its efficacy will be swift. In the Jin Dynasty, Zhu Shanshan from Huashan in Guangping admired the Dao since childhood. By the time of the Longji era change in the Tang Dynasty, while residing at Kaiyuan Temple in Yangzhou, he was already over hundreds of years old.
