[Supplementary Discussion]
Although various sores (skin ulcers) may not directly cause death, if they spread and ooze without cessation, there are cases that remain unhealed for many years. This is all due to the failure of Heart and Kidney interaction, irregular diet, and stagnation in the intestines and stomach.
Or swelling, ulceration, and pain occur, making walking difficult. Those occurring on the bone are the most severe, referred to as "bone [missing character] sore". Because there is little flesh above the bone and the skin is thin, it is difficult to heal. It can reach a state where it does not heal for years, the sore opening daily, skin rotting away to expose bone, with a foul odor that is terrifying. At this time, one should first remove parasites/worms, and then apply medicine. Or, some men develop sores on the glans penis; initially appearing like millet grains, touching them causes pain, followed by the discharge of clear pus, forming socket-like holes, eroding and rotting with a foul smell, and gradually increasing in pain. This is called "Jealous Essence Sore" (Du Jing Chuang). This occurs because the woman previously had residual semen inside, or intercourse occurred while menstruation had not ceased, failing to cleanse impurities beforehand, leading to infection from pathogenic qi. Women also develop sores at the Yumen (vaginal opening), called "Yin Erosion Sore" (Yin Shi Chuang). Or, sores appear all over the cheeks and neck, emerging like bean or plum-sized lesions, itching with excessive exudate, spreading to the inside and outside of both ears, wet and rotten resembling the appearance of Oozing Sores (Jin Yin Chuang). In rural areas, this is called "Sad Sheep Sore" (Bei Yang Chuang). The aforementioned several types have different names, but each has its own treatment formula.
