Taishan Panshi San (Mount Tai Rock-Solid Powder): Treats women with deficiency of both qi and blood, or those who are obese but constitutionally weak, or thin with heat in the blood, or with spleen and liver qi deficiency, presenting with fatigue and poor appetite, and a history of recurrent miscarriages. This formula is mild and nourishes the spleen, stomach, qi, and blood. If heat is felt, double the Huangqin and reduce the Sharen; if the stomach is weak, use more Sharen and less Huangqin. It is also advisable to abstain from sexual activity and anger, and avoid alcohol, vinegar, and spicy/warm foods, thereby ensuring no miscarriage. Xu Donggao said: When a woman habitually miscarrying at two or three months of pregnancy, it is called "minor abortion" (Xiao Chan). This is due to weak constitution, deficiency of both qi and blood, excessive fire in the zang-fu organs, and heat in the blood component. Physicians often advocate using warm-tonifying herbs like Aiye, Fuzi, and Sharen for securing the fetus, which only increases disaster and accelerates miscarriage. They do not realize that when qi and blood are clear and harmonious, without scorching by fire, the fetus naturally remains secure. Qi deficiency fails to hold the fetus; blood heat causes reckless bleeding. How can one expect to prevent miscarriage? Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma) is said to move qi and relieve depression, but excessive use damages healthy qi; Sharen moves spleen qi, but excessive use consumes true qi. Moreover, their aromatic-dry nature injures both qi and blood. Seeking to secure the fetus with them actually damages the fetus and causes miscarriage. Now, only Taishan Panshi San and Qianjin Baoyun Wan can achieve the wonders of creation, with hundred percent efficacy and no failure. I hereby publish them for benevolent gentlemen to know.

However, prenatal medications must avoid mixing yin and yang chaotically, which leads to other diseases. Zhike Tang (Bitter Orange Decoction) suppresses yang, while Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) assists yin. However, Zhike Tang is mostly cold in nature; taking it alone may cause fetal coldness and abdominal pain. Adding Neibu Wan helps balance this, preventing yang from becoming too strong and yin from becoming too weak, thus harmonizing yin and yang and benefiting offspring. This was not discussed by predecessors.
